A very convenient location and a beautiful building.
Dim lighting in the room was a bit frustrating at times, but otherwise an excellent hotel for the price.
Staff was sweet Location, near the blue door Breakfast was ok, but we have seen much better (choice, freshness) in other Riads in Morocco.
the stairs - very steep and narrow - to go up to your room. This was not in the description !!! That should have been flagged! Quality of furniture is ok, bathroom was very nice but shower was not working Balcony on terrace does not have a view, at all Staff is sweet but could be more helpful and faster Pricey for what you get
friendly staff Very good location
Amazing room in lovely old house. Beautiful patio area.
I've had better breakfasts in Morocco and, while it was very nice, I felt like I paid less for other riads and got more for my money.
All superb. Perfect location, beautiful room, lovely staff. All in all one of the best holidays we have ever had.
Good location near the Bijoud Gate.Everything was clean. Room was spacious. Staff helpful and were kind when my husband was unwell.Food was good with nice continental breakfast.
Access to the room was difficults being by a narrow steep staircase four floors up.The private 'sitting area' was disappointing, its view being obstructed by the roof of the courtyard. The guide on a trip we booked through the Riad took us to a carpet shop despite our instruction that we did not wish to do shopping.I think it was unfair to the owner of the shop and ourselves. Also, we were taken for lunch to a very overpriced mediocre lunch.
Spotless accommodation, quirky as Riads often are. Spacious room, lovely bathroom
lounge area at the top of a steep flight of stairs & being a riad the central area was very cool, overly so, but in fairness it was February but it was too cold to eat-in
Proximity to bazaar.
The telephone was not available to get exact directions and what we had in google maps is streets directions (there are NO streets panels) and had a hard time finding it... till we stop in a 5 * and the travel agent help us and guided us. On arrival the girl in reception requested to pay for less than 5mts walk with small suitcases... We informed that we where going out and the girl kept on insisting for having diner at riad. We had a very bad experience coming later back: NOBODY to open door!! We insisted ringing and nocking for about 10' till a guest came to open us... this was very annoying, even the next door guardian was calling and nobody replied...The breakfast is poor, its a pitty not to have fresh orange juice for such "standard" riad!
Near the Medina.
The level of honesty of the staff and the degree to which management were financially dishonest was quite appalling. When we arrived porters insisted on carrying our bags the 100 metres from the taxi to the door though we didn't need it. The charge - which the Riad insisted we pay - Euros 20! We never wanted the service let alone had any idea of the cost! We asked if there was a simple taxi to take us to Volubilis - we were told Euros120. It seemed exorbitant but we were told it was an all inclusive cost. Instead we were forced to pay a large "tip" to the driver, E35 for lunch - and the food gave us diahorrea - and a fee for a tour of the ruins. Then when we needed a taxi for the airport we were charged E20 but put in the same taxi as another couple who had already paid the E20. In short, the place was corrupt and dishonest. Similarly the web site advertised a bath but there was no bath. Moreover so much for a romantic weekend! The bed was next to a glass wall and the main reception so everyone could hear us and we could hear every word uttered. Total lack of privacy. The lower staff were verbally abused by the management regularly and we heard every word - and it was totally unnecessary - the lower staff were the only people working or trustworthy. Even the TV, despite being "cable" had NO english speaking channels. In short, we will NEVER stay here again and would suggest other travelers do the same.
The Azur suite, very nice room with a balcony. Very nice facilities and very clean and modern.
The breakfast was not the best: concentrated orange juice while they have amazing fresh oranges growing everywhere in the country and oily Moroccan crepes everyday, not as good as in other riads...
Nice room with a beautiful Arabic accent. The personal and owner were very friendly en hospitable. We had a warm welcome. The owner speaks very good english. The Riad is extremely clean, better then average dutch Hotels. Beautiful Riad, Patio and terrace The location was great, easy to move in to the medina, up the mountain or by petit-taxi to other places. The breakfast was good (typical Moroccan) but poor for European standards.
The personal speaks poor English. The internet was down 50% of our stay
So comfortable and cozy, this place! I entirely enjoyed my stay in the warm and friendly room, which was at the same time spotlessly clean.
Perfect location nice room staff very efficient Very good massage
Hamam was too cold
The wonderful and helpful staff, the ideal and easy to find location, and the amazing details of the rooms and bathroom made this our favorite Raid in Morocco during our 2 week stay. It was a real treat to get this place for a great price. After traveling a lot we were tied when we arrived late in the evening, and even though the kitchen was closed they made us an amazing meal to enjoy in our beautiful room. The room was quiet on the very top floor, and we had a balcony. Just beyond our door was the nice large patio with a great view. Nice breakfast every morning with fresh juice and coffee and typical Moroccan sweets. The location is ideal just steps away from a small parking lot made it easy to find, and having a staff that goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay was really appreciated. Thank you from Italy!
Rarely do I say nothing here, but really we could not have been happier.
Riad Les Remparts was perfect. I have so many wonderful things to say about our experience here. First, the location is ideal. It is very close to everything you would want to get to, but is tucked away on a quiet street, so you have peace and quiet. There is also a parking lot 50 meters away which made getting dropped off and picked up very easy (no getting lost finding the riad for the first time and no dragging bags through the medina on your way to a taxi for the airport). The staff was extremely friendly. They are always available to help, and do so with a cheery smile. The room we had was unbelievable. It is a great experience getting to stay in a place that has so much cultural character to it. We were on the ground floor and had a luxurious bathroom, comfy bed, and a cozy upstairs area with sofa and TV. I rarely stay in hotels that actually make me excited to come 'home' after a day exploring an amazing city. Our room was cleaned everyday, and breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again, and think what you get is more than worth the price.
Location was ideal, a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of the old Madina. Very beautiful old traditional Riad. Staff were extremely helpful and approachable. Breakfast was a bit plain but was certainly fresh.
Cleanliness of the facility, spacious room and bathroom. A very well appointed and decorated hotel.
Poor sound-proof facility and insensitive staff members continuous talking, laughing, and walking in heels on the tile-floored lobby area kept waking us up all night.
comfortable bed, nice room. Friendly staff (gerondis)
