Riad Linda

The staff were very kind. Although we were not "out" explicitly, they surely could connect the dots (two young American men in the luxury suite together), and seemed to quietly approve---one day, our bed had a new comforter with hearts on it! :-] Breakfast was yummy. The staff was very courteous.

Our room was double-booked: that is, another couple arrived the night before we left and had apparently reserved the same room. This is a huge no-no that one should learn in Hoteliering 101. I blame Linda, who ordered all our belongings removed from the room and brought to another room---*while we were out at dinner*. I contacted Linda later asking for an explanation. She offered none and made a non-apology that took no responsibility (she apologized for "the mistake that occurred"). We had already paid, and were now in a cheaper room; no one offered to refund the difference and I had to ask for that. In short, Linda was inconsiderate, rude and thoughtless; she screwed up, and no one at the riad tried to make any amends. I cannot recommend this riad one bit as a result. Other things that weren't great: Contrary to their website, there is no view of the Jemma el Fna (or anything else) from the rooftop deck. Breakfast was repetitive and consisted entirely of starch (pancakes, bread, bready pancake, etc.). Services were very expensive: the equivalent of $10 us was charged to stick a load of laundry in the wash and let it hang dry. The 20-euro dinner was only alright, not worth the money.

The staff *on site* were very friendly. The owner, Linda, was extremely inconsiderate. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop deck is a nice hangout. The riad is very close to the souks and the Jemma el Fna. You can hardly book a room closer. The staff were very accommodating and let us keep things in the main fridge.

Linda, the owner, double booked our room; her solution to the problem was to remove all our belongings from our room while we were out and move us to another room, without explanation, apology, or refund. Every bathroom had at least one problem: a showerhead too low, a tap that points out of the sink, a drain that doesn't drain, etc. The wifi password is a random string of 20 characters. Breakfast was entirely starch-based. The Douira Suite is too cold, even with the heat on all day. This is because the riad is too drafty. There are no windows in any room. The doors and their locks are all installed backwards: it is impossible to lock a suite from inside and it is always possible to enter a stranger's suite. There was no toilet paper and we always had to ask for more.

Principalmente el trato recibido, nos hemos sentido como en casa. En todo momento atendidos pero con gran discrección. El lugar donde se ubica el Riad permite acotar distancias ya que se encuentra en pleno centro y sin embargo una vez te retiras a descansar, éste se convierte en un lugar acogedor.

No nos ha gustado tener que madrugar tanto ya que es obligatorio llegar con dos horas de antelación al aeropuerto. Los controles policiales podrían modernizarse un poco. Si la pregunta tiene que ver con el Riad no tengo ninguna pega.
