Located a 5 minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna square, this riad features a swimming pool, a terrace and rooms with views of the Atlas Mountains and the Medina.
Score from 307 reviews Exceptional
Perfect located at the centre of the medina. Two minutes walk to Djemnaa el Fna and the souks. Bit noisy (as expected near the main square). Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
The swimming pool is not really for swimming, it's more of a decoration pool.
Location is too noisy and crowded
the room itself
the noise outside the room
This is the best location for any Riad in Marrakech - very close to Jemaa el Fna. It's beautifully decorated and a little oasis in the centre of a crazy busy city. We arrived at this Riad tired from a trip to the Sahara and were welcomed by a very sweet, helpful and friendly lady at the reception desk.
The ladies in the spa were not so nice. I booked a massage which came with a free 30 minute hammam. I seemed to be the last person of the day (9pm) and they were rude, unfriendly and clearly couldnt be bothered. A young girl took me into the hammam and started to pour the water over my face and then spray me with the shower hose. At one point I thought I was drowning! Then she said "der minute" and left me lying on one of the benches. 15 minutes went past and eventually I went out with my dressing gown on - soaking wet - to find out where she was. She was sitting in the massage room with another girl both of them on their phones. They didnt speak any English so said something in French I didnt understand. It was clear I was unhappy and said I didnt want the hamman anymore and that I was cold. The young girl then brought back into the hammam room and decided to wash my hair - very odd. Felt like I was drowning again. She then helped me put my dressing gown back on without offering me a towel and told me sit on one of the chairs outside of the spa. 5 minutes went past and nothing... so I decided to go back to my room cold and disappointed.
Fantastic trip, excellent location. Hannah the receptionist was lovely...warm, welcoming and helpful.
The only slight disappointment was that the photos showed what looked like a small swimming pool but when we arrived it was tiny and for decor only...we did feel that had been deceptive. but it really didn't spoil our trip and we would stay there again
Mona the receptionist was excellent! She helped me arranged a surprise dinner with a bday cake fr my bf... The kitchen people helped and the band also played a lovely bday song... It's was awesome
Nothing really... It's just that my phone can't get the wifi sometimes but my boyfriend always have it... So maybe it's just my phone...
This hotel and its location contribute to an excellent experience of Morocco. The proximity to the heart of Marrakech and the ambience of the hotel and the rooms makes it a great place to stay. It is a 1-2 minute walk to the main square. The hotel is very quiet considering its location. I would stay here again and would recommend it to any of my friends.
The hotel staff is wonderful but be prepared when you step outside - very aggressive people trying to sell anything and everything can be quite entertaining - or quite annoying. We had a fun time with it.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Got great tips on restaurants and taxis etc. Amazing location - just walk out the front door and you can see Jemaa El Fna. Then it is only a five minute walk to the Souks. Best bit is you can then walk back to riad for hamman and beauty treatments. We asked for a quiet room that does not look out onto the street as it gets very noisy at night time. Our request was granted and got a nice room on top floor. Would stay again.
Very central location to main square Jemma el fna. Spa quite nice, service of staff was excellent in restaurant as well the attention to detail of the front desk. Very accommodating personnel- particularly Moona. We stayed in jr suite Hania which was lovely.
Refrigerator in room did not work, noticed a few roaches, most dead in kitchenette area so staff was attending to it but we did see a few live ones! Maybe to be expected in this climate and area over a 3 day stay?
We loved the staff and the Attention to details . Fresh welcome fruit in our room. Roses all over the room and rose petals on our bed and bathroom . The location was well suited to many of the must see places in Marakesh . Beautifuly decorated and great architecture. I loved the smell of the place and the lamps. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful , fresh fruit and OJ , coffee , free refills and even a made to order omelets and lots of fresh breads. One of our best dinners was at the hotel as well ( lamb Tajini ) . Our suite was amazing and we loved the roof top terrace to see the sun go down. The middle terrace overlooks the Main Street and is a great place for people watching. We also had a spa treatment that we really enjoyed . A special thank you to Mouna (reception) for all her help with dinner/ spa reservations and directions. She really helped make this anniversary occasion very special . It really was a fantastic place to spend a get away Anniversary weekend ! We arranged for an airport pick up and return and the hotel took care of all the arrangement . We had an early flight departure and were even able to have an early breakfast - thank you for all the attention to service!
I can't think of a thing
An oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Our stay at Riad Mabrouk was an exceptional experience. The Riad was recommended by friends whom had stayed here a few months earlier. I was initially considering to stay at one of the many hotels in Marrakech. The location is excellent if you want to be near all the attractions and the Souks, as the Riad is just off the square and 2-3 minutes from the Kotoubia Mosque. The facilities at the Riad is for sure 4 star or more. The staff are extremely helpful this includes the cleaning staff, and the waiting staff at the Restaurant. Receptionists are available 24 hours and always happy to help. There are many places to eat for all budgets. I am unable to find anything negative to say a bout this Riad & Spa. A special thank you to Hannane an Hassan whom were extremely helpful and friendly, and made our stay that much more relaxing. I recommend this Riad to first time visitors to Marrakech as well as the more experienced traveller.
Breakfast, location , beautiful hotel
Me and my freinds Money was stolen from safe when reported to reception they advised they would speak to Manager. Manager refused to talk to us no one wanted to know what happened etc very arrogant people ! If u go keep ur belongings with u.
Staff at the reception were extremely good and very helpful. They gave good information about getting around to sights and booking trips. Restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the junior suite which has Stained beautiful glass windows. Hotel is in a very good location to visit places and bus stop. We even got back to the airport by public bus.
Bathroom could be better. But this will not stop us from returning to the same hotel again. No English chanels on tv.
Been so close to the main square, and easy to go back to cool calm riad to recouperate. Great breakfasts We enjoyed a great spa experience.
Pick up from airport was very expensive, We decided to do this as we were expecting out Riad to be difficult to find.
They double booked us on the system. Despite we were the one who booked first, they still swapped us to another less impressed room. Not very happy with that!
Fabulous riad 2 minutes away from the Djemma el Fna. Beautiful rooms filled with traditional Morrocan tilework. The entire staff was amazing and deserves a raise!! We loved Hanane and how willling she was to help us with our entire stay and to just chat with us about Marrakech and Morroco. The breakfast included with the price of the stay isn't for people with small appetites. Every morning there were pastries, croissants, omeletes, flatbreads, pancakes and fruits. We couldn't ask for anything more! The waitstaff in the restaurant were also very sweet. We stayed in the Mabrouka suite and this is a suite built for royalty. There is beautiful stained glass windows. Every local attraction was within few minutes walking distance. From the terrace you can see the Kotoubia mosque and the square. This really is in the heart of Marrakech and we would love to come back to this wonderful riad again!!
The first suite (Hasna) we stayed in was closer to the busy street which was quite noisy with the hustle and bustle of the square.
Great location just off the Djena El Fna square. Staff was friendly and helpful. They serve you tea upon arrival, nice touch. They have air conditioning!
Our son has a peanut allergy and even though we notified them ahead of time, there were peanuts in a bowl in our room, peanuts used in the breads at breakfast, etc. He had a small reaction, luckily nothing life threatening.
The interior of the hotel and the room were in beautiful arabic style. Breakfast was abundant and good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were very good. Shower was strong and hot.
Great location within minutes of the square, rooms comfortable although quite dark but very traditional. Restaurant is lovely and food excellent, we ate there quite a lot! Lovely roof terrace with views of Marrakech.
Roof terrace could be used better perhaps with a small bar in the evenings? Rooms could do with a mirror outside the bathroom and perhaps better lighting.
The stunning decor The location Breakfast
No wardrobe or hooks in bedroom 3 so nowhere at all to hang dresses and shirts. Many things in gym not working properly, including the air conditioning
The superb location, in the very proximity of Jamaa El Fna, not for lovers of quiet places, though. Great breakfast, clean room.
We got two rooms, supposedly same quality - one was great, the other one, small and dark. Strange, for the same quality. The receptionist - one of them - an unpleasant person, who doesn't seem to like the job. Asked to do something about the locked-up safe box - done nothing.
Very well furnished and maintained Location very close to Grand Square but also to the sights in the southern part of the Medina Rooms beautifully decorated and clean Staff professional Good spa facilities
The staff were nice enough but not overly welcoming The hotel runs a restaurant and it's noisy until late. Bring earplugs.
The staff were excellent, especially at the front desk. All were very friendly and we really loved the place. It's an oasis in the chaotic medina. We stayed in one of the suites but where upgraded to their best suite after a few days. Mabrouk is placed in the right location of the medina and we had a convenient spot to go from when getting around. The restaurant served us a nice dinner with wine and beer. Breakfast was good with hot and cold drinks, pancakes, fruit, omelette and all you need.
Unfortunately the whirlpool was out of order and the "gym/fitness-room" is not really a place to workout in. But on the other hand, that seems to be the case everywhere in Marrakech.
Lovely architecture and a good meal. Especially liked the offer of a glass of wine with the meal just right for a single female traveller
The location is excellent, the best situated riad in Marrakech as far as we could tell on an easy to navigate open street that is pedestrian only - a godsend in that 2 stroke engine choked city. We stayed in the Mabrouka Suite which was amazing and perfect. The food is very good, huge breakfast with omelets, pancakes, bread, cake, fresh orange juice and the best coffee we've had at a hotel. Another plus is they serve alcohol - wine & beer if that is something you want. And of course the wonderful receptionist Hannan is terrific. We will definitely be back!
