Our room was over a busy road and it was noisy until the small hours (not a huge problem for us, but some people may not like this).
A traditional style riad in a central location. It was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was decent and we were treated mint tea on our first night.

Room smelt damp and had no windows Very noisy at night Staff quite rude and unhelpful Same breakfast every morning with no choice
Excellent location Hotel lobby and communal areas very nice Free wifi in rooms

Had bad luck with weather, can't fault the hotel
Great location, lovely massage, can't fault it, money changer at back door

shower was only warm - I needed a hot one after a strenuous riding trip. I wanted a straightforward 30 minute massage, but it seemed only longer, more expensive 'combined heath packages' were available. staff were not unfriendly but could be given some smiling lessons ;) or are they massively underpaid? wasn't sure if the miniature swimming pool was a joke or not? it didn't look like you were meant to use it. the roof terrace is one of the highest in the neighbourhood, so it was a shame it looked a little un-loved. old drinks/glasses hadn't been cleared away & although there were plenty of tables & chairs, & little greenery/ colour would have made all the difference. not a deal breaker but my room was very dark even with both windows open & the top light on. a bed-side light would be a good idea. I didn't use the WiFi but my companions had some trouble getting good reception.
reviews I read before coming made it sound like an overly noisy location so I bought earplugs, but I was pleasantly surprised how peaceful it was - especially considering how close to Jemaa el Fnaa it is. the rose petals in the toilet bowl was a hilariously decadent touch! (especially as I had diarrhoea). My group of 8 Sahara bikers made good use of the tranquil hotel bar after we'd had a (intensionally) wildly boisterous dinner on Jemaa el Fnaa. A good place to unwind but still be able to watch and smell the world go by. the towels & duvet were very sumptuous. the decor of the hotel is great. my tiled bathroom was especially wonderful.

Ideal location for exploring the Medina area (2 mins from the main square). Very clean accommodation, good food and all the facilities that you will need to enable you to have an enjoyable break in Marrakech. Reception staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful with any queries which we had. Would be happy to stay there again if we ever returned to the City.

The only bad part was the busy shopping street outside - a little noisy at night - but nothing the air conditioner didn't fix
Close to main market Beautiful décor Spa Helpful, gracious staff - guided us to specific souks, and held luggage after we checked out so we could explore

The Jacuzzi was not in use. Breakfast was dull and the same every day. Our suite was very clean, but a staff area we accidentally saw was not. Not great value for money.
Hanane the receptionist was absolutely delightful. The location of the riad is perfect for exploring the medina.

Everything was great! Location is the best! Just breakfast was poor and Wifi signal can be better
February 23, 2015
Not a bad experience- but the bathroom needed a bit of tlc.
Staff very helpful and nothing was an inconvenience. Breakfasts were great, good start to the busy days! Close to everything which was a bonus. Beautiful building, totally deceptive from the outside.

no bad experience
very nice orientalic design, super friendly staff, very clean and lovely decorated room all day and perfect place of location!

This place is not a Riad but a cheap hotel. The photos are misleading - for instance there is no pool that you can swim in despite getting that impression from the photo. The restaurant is cold in winter, very expensive by comparables and the food is inedible. The cook couldn't care less. Alcohol is the dearest in the area and almost as expensive as Hotel Mamounis! Because we emailed ahead for a room with few stairs, staff took the opportunity to downgrade us to a dump and opportunistically on-sold our room to walk in trade. When we were moved to another dump room, the fittings were broken and the shower floor was slimy. I had to insist on the bed being made up. We left after one day and moved to hotel de Jardin de Koutoubia. My advice is unless you are a backpacker who is hardly going to use the bed pay more and give this dive a wide berth.

I was disappointed with the deluxe room. It wasn't the room advertised on the website. It was dark, very dark, so dark I couldn't get ready in the evenings. The restaurant where breakfast was was cold and lifeless. The roof terrace was a bit plain and had old bits of furniture broken and strewn about. It would help if they spruced it up and offered a small menu of tea and snacks up there.
Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff, not so much. Room was clean and comfortable. However, if you want something slightly different or authentic then stay elsewhere. This riad is more of a hotel than a riad. It has more of a business feel than a funky or shabby chic riad. The location was great, smack bang in the middle of things and a stones throw to the main square. However, this can mean the streets are packed..all the time.

Some rooms could be noisy due to their proximity to the square.
The Riad is very beautiful and is well-located in the Medina. All the staff were very polite and very helpful. They swiftly attended to all our requests and made our stay really special.

Restaurant was *** freezing *** on New Years Eve and meal overpriced really
Very central, very clean, lovely architecture The receptionist that greeted us was exceptionally charming and helpful

Very cold in the restaurant, staff in the restaurant were rude...poor attitude

We stayed at Mabrouk for 4 nights late December. Everything was perfect, receptionists Mouna and Henna are lovely and gave us a very warm welcome and were delightful throughout our stay. We could not have wished for a nicer bedroom suite, just what I wished for. Mabrouk is very close to the square and walking distance to most of the 'must see' places within the Medina. Can't wait to return... And the weather was perfect too, but very chilly at night. We wouldn't hesitate to choose Mabrouk again. :-)

Please note that the riad does not have a fitness center, and there really aren't places nearby where you can exercise outside.
Three things stood out. The first was the Riad's location. It was a short walk away from the central square, but far enough not to be affected by the noise coming from it. The roof terrace offered a wonderful view and a place to escape from the crowds and noise. The second was the ambiance. The interior decor is tastefully done, making this one of the most memorable hotels where I have stayed. The last is the staff's attentive attitude. The place is impeccably clean and the staff at the reception are very attentive to the needs of the guests. My wife and I really appreciated their going out of their way to make sure that we had a comfortable and memorable stay.

The bar/restaurant staff were miserable. They were not very friendly and were not very helpful, unlike the hotel staff. Also the restaurant would not accept cards, only cash, so we ate at another hotel, who would accept cards.
The reception staff and the Manager were very helpful. We had a leak in the room, due to torrential rain, but were upgraded and treated very fairly. Also, the rooms have a lovely Moroccan ambience.

I didn't like it is a very noisy area, I didn't like the fake spa, I didn't like it was not clean.
November 9, 2014
staff like to bill unnecessarily, also breakfast was poor
location, no need for transport
November 2, 2014
Location, helpfulness and friendliness of staff, decor, cleanliness.
October 21, 2014
Noisy, dirty, bad service, rude reception. Cucarachas in the toilet and room.
October 21, 2014
No fan or window in the bathroom meant it had a slight musty smell
Hotel is in great location, 2 min walk from main square. Room was clean and comfortable. Good value for money and would stay again.

The poor lighting in the room.
The location was excellent just minutes walk from Djemma el Fna. The roof terrace offered a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle but you still felt you were in the middle of everything. The rooms were beautifully decorated though a bit dark, we asked for extra lighting and pointed out a blocked shower drain the staff attended to it immediately, not much improvement on the lighting but they did attend to the matter as best and pleasantly as they could. As we had a late evening flight it was worth organising a car from the Riad to pick us up at the airport as it would have been difficult to locate. The hotel staff were helpful but the restaurant staff were not so enthusiastic. They seemed to have just run out of about everything you tried to order.
