A very nice Riad hotel, very friendly staff and very nice and tasteful decorated. Good price / quality ratio. An oasis in a busy city. Highly recommended as hotel! A bit difficult to find in winding alleyways (but once you are there...)

Perfect location to explore Marrakech. Lots of charm, nice rooms, ideal to leave the hectic of Marrakech behind for a couple of hours. Breakfast is somewhat basic.

The Riad is an oasis of tranquillity and calm in the bustling city and benefits from a great location -not too close from the main square, but still only 10 minutes away-. Giorgia is a really nice lady who speaks a perfect French and the mint tea is by far, the best we tried whilst in Morocco. The rooms are nicely furbished, spacious and cosy. Giorgia gave us a lot of useful tips and recommendations about the city, its surroundings and the local prices. If I were to go back to Marrakesh, I would definitely stay at Riad Mandalay again! The hotel is located close to the mosque so we sometimes hear the call to prayer -even at 5am- and when going to the hotel, you have to go through a market with fresh meat. The smell is not the best when you've just woken up but well, it is part of the exoticism :)

The owners of Riad Mandalay are absolutely fantastic! Upon arrival you will be handed a map of the city and she sits down with you over a cup of tea to give you tips and tricks for exploring the city. She is absolutely delightful in helping you make your choice about where to go. She helped us (two girls) a lot also about going out and how to be safe in the city. She made us feel extremely welcome. The food in the Riad is home made and delicious. Breakfast is ready from early morning to whatever time you decide to get up, which is very nice after a night out clubbing. The Riad itself has a small pool but a very nice roof terrace. The Riad is clean and has a nice atmosphere.

We stayed 5 days at Riad Mandalay and it was excellent. Georgia has been a great host, she gave us a lot of advices about what to visit, where to go, the addresses of the best restaurant in Marrakech (and even called them to book us a table). The Riad is beautiful, clean and peaceful which is really enjoyable after a day in the noisy Marrakech. The staff is very nice too. We enjoyed our holidays and if we go back to Marrakech we'll stay again in at Riad Mandalay we definitely recommend it.

The Riad is absolutely stunning! Is the perfect place for your stayng at Marrakech! We loved it from de begining. It is managed by an italian couple (Claudio and Giorgia). The owners are extremely dedicated to their guests! They are very friendy! They do everything for you to have an amazing stayng at Marrakech and a pleasent stayng at the Riad! They organized a transfer for us from the airport and everything went very good! The transfer left us at th Kasbah Mosque since he couldn't go further into the medina, and the Riad's owner (Cláudio) was there (at the Mosque) waiting for us to take us to the Riad! He received us with a marvalleous mint tea and gave us a map of the city and all the tips to learn how to move on the city and very nice tips of all we could see during our stay! Really amazing! The breakfast is very very good and we loved the part that it starts at 8 am and has no time to finish ("because you are on vacations" said Claudio). They prepered us a extraordinary morrocan meal, very tasty, a tajine kefta (the best we tried in Marrakech)! You must try because Claudio is a magnificent "Chef"! At least once try their restaurant! It's really very good! The room was amazing, with air conditioned, with a great bathroom! Very cleaned and everithyng working very well! Riad MAndalay is a Paradise inside Marrakech Medina and it feels so great to be there at the end of the day, after an agitated day discovering Marrakech, because it's so peaceful, you hear nothing but the water from the pool and birds singing! Really a paradise! It also has a magnificent terrace were you can have a nice rest at sunset. Although beeing near the Mosque we didn't hear de call for prayng what was amazing for us! It's very close to the Jemaa-El-Fna! 10 min. walking! Close to the Sadian tombs (1 min. walking) and a lot of other interest places!

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly informative staff, especially Claudio who gave excellent information about the area as well as the services provided at the riad. Organised our transfers to and from the airport, trip up to ourika valley which was excellent, just wish I had brought walking shoes. We also had a cookery lesson which he translated when necessary and served up to us in evening with a glass of wine after our massage.

Riad Mandalay is an excellent oasis of peace amidst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. It has a good location not far from the central square and it was a real treat to enjoy the peacefulness inside the riad while still being close to the action. The two owners are very friendly and ready to help and advice. I can warmly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Marrakech.

Great location of the Riad, just inside the labyrinth of the old medina. Once you enter all the rush from the street disappears. The Riad manager Claudio is very friendly, he helped as with everything we needed. Peaceful & friendly place for anyone who want visit the medina or the Marrakech surroundings incl. Atlas mountains. We were not here during the hot season but the big terrace and pool are available for relaxing ;-)

Quite, clean and relaxing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to most sites and very close to the markets. The street location, as you have to go through very crowded, often smokey lanes, which could be decieving.

An Oasis of secure calm in a superbly frenetic area, close to all the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The proprietor Georgia and her staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for her in particular and she made everything feel easily sorted. The Riad room we had cannot be said to be luxurious but for the money it was very good value. The Riad's main area is a very pleasant place to sit and drink mint tea.... We liked it and stayed for the full week instead of the 2 days we had booked - Georgia just quietly said she would move her bookings around to help. And the place is a good base to hire a car and take a day or two in the Atlas mountains. They are wonderful. There is nothing not to like! Don't go there if you want hotel style pools and restaurants, vast choice at breakfast etc. Go there for the experience of bed'n'breakfast in a brilliant location and ... well, a Riad.

The Riad Mandalay was like stepping into a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets and alley ways outside. The atmosphere of the Riad was lovely, very tranquil and relaxing. The courtyard was shady and quiet and the plunge pool was great for a quick dip to cool off. The roof terrace was great, particularly in the evening when the sun went down on the hot August days. Our room, which opened onto the courtyard, was spacious enough for the three of us, with a good big bathroom. The staff at the Mandalay were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped us with information about the city, a day trip to the Atlas Mountains and transport to Essaouira. All in all we had a great stay and can't recommend Riad Mandalay and it's staff highly enough.

Very beautiful, comfortable riad, with spacious, clean rooms. There is WiFi that actually works!! The staff was very attentive to our every need and cooked wonderful meals for us. Upon arriving Claudio spoke to us about the area, recommended restaurants and sightseeing. I have traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe and this was the best hotel experience I've had so far. I would highly recommend this hotel to another guest.

The Riad is in a good location close to the Medina, (although up a few small back alleys). The room was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, very relaxing and quiet. The Riad is absolutely stunning and the staff were also very helpful. Overall a lovely Riad & great staff so close to the city centre. The Spa Facilities were not great, it was dissappointing the Jacquzzi was not working. The breakfast was a very basic continental but there is no set time which is good and I'm sure if you had requested the staff would have made something a bit better. Overall this Riad is a bit overpriced but a lovely experience.

Cuidado...danger... The riad offer us a trip to de desert, the bus broke one break (disc) and they didnt repaird it or change it, some tourist denied to continued the trip in that bus with 3 breaks, and they left us alone in Ourzazate.

“The riad Dar Beldia is a great place to be in Marrakech. It’s very quiet as you are not directly in the main center of the medina but you will reach the most important places within a 10-minutes-walk. The manager Simo and his colleagues are very friendly and helpful. Look forward to - well furnished and clean rooms with air condition (a big plus when you have over 40 degrees outside) - a small pool inside to cool down and a really nice roof terrace to relax after a tiring day in the hot city - a nice sweet breakfast to start into the day We would recommend this riad without restrictions of any kind.” Rebecca, Köln |
