Homemade yogurt some mornings Closeness to square One nice staff member...Miriam...good cook too!

Unfriendly hosts No use of kitchen to get water, coffee, tea, anything...and no where close to get either. Hiked up prices for any services arranged by hosts (double for their taxi service). Room was pretty...but dark and no place to sit with a table and lamp. Continental breakfast only.

A stunning Riad in the heart of the medina. Patrice, his family and staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Less than 10mins from the main square, a little oasis from the total madness of Marrakech. Breakfast was lovely and evening meals were excellent. Can't wait to go back.

    Having to leave

Right in the thick of the Kasbah with all the culture, and yet an oasis of calm to return to each day. Friendly staff. Good food and wine. A real ambiance to the place with classic architecture and tasteful background music. The place has wow factor. Nice sun terrace on the roof. Good hammam/massage. Nice place to de - stress after the madness of Marrakech. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

Oasis of calm. Patrice, Aline and staff were extremely helpful; very efficient and reasonably priced airport transfer and organisation of excursions; food good (continental breakfast always included something 'home' made). Excellent recommendations about good places to visit and places to eat. Had a wonderful massage at Riad.

Nothing we didn't like about Riad Mandalay but guests should be aware that evening meals in riad (good and well priced) need to be booked in advance (in the morning). Do visit the main square but don't eat there! Easy to get lost in the Medina but that's part of the experience. Be prepared for pushy salesmen in the souks.

Friendly, helpful family and staff. Lovely breakfast. Well kept and furnished Riad. Close to the centre of things and easy enough to get around by taxi or on foot.

Kasbah a bit intimidating for a solo female traveler. A bit of a dark labyrinth but OK once you get your bearings. The new town is probably safer and familiar but a bit too sterile if you are looking to experience the culture of Marrakesh.

I loved Riad Mandalay! Its a beautiful oasis in the medina. Patrice and Aline make sure you feel at home and help you out with tips about Marrakesh. The location is easy to find and to get around. Breakfast was delicious! I will definitely go back!
