Set in the heart of the medina, this guest house is a 7-minute walk from Jemaâ el Fna Square and the Koutoubia. You can relax in the pool on the rooftop terrace or in the hammam.

Breakfeast in the sun on the terrace.
Wakeup pray of the muezzin, however, typical for arabian medinas.
This was my forth visit to Marrakech and this is by far the best Riad I have stayed in. I loved the space, the cleanliness and I truely felt relaxed in here. Beautiful Decor, fantastic food and helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable and wine is available with dinner. The only Riad I intend to return to. Excellent value for money.
Nothing---it was perfect.
My partner and I stayed for three nights in the Mérinide room at Riad Matham and had a great experience. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we were amazed at how peaceful the riad was compared to the chaos of the souks! We loved the quiet roof terrace and our spacious bathroom, which were even better than in the photos! The staff, particularly the owner Thierry, were really friendly and helpful and made things like booking airport transfers and spa treatments really easy. We also ate at the riad a couple of times and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We'd definitely return on our next visit.
location intimidating at night
This place is a Oasis of calm in crazy Marrakech. Very lovely french man running this place. Excellent breakfast and service.
Marrakech is a mess. People "help" you find your way for money of cause. We were a little cold at times since it was in February.
A really warm welcome from Thierry, Adrian and the staff who helped us with maps, advice and orientation. Lovely atmosphere, quirky room, spectacular views from the roof terrace, delicious Moroccan food. Less than a ten minute walk from the souk. Could not fault it.
A beautifully restored Riad in a quiet restful location very close to the northern end of the souks in the Medina. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful nothing seemed a problem. A super place to stay in Marrakech.
Beautiful interior, with taste and style Great cooking and breakfast Very nice roof terrace with amazing view over the medina and Atlas Nice and easy atmosphere, haven of rest in the middle of the busy medina Very good in house-hammam and massage Everything clean and service is top! Thierry, merci beaucoup et bonne chance!
the riad was amazing with a magical bedroom! the location was close to everything and in a safe area. breakfast has been superb made with natural and healthy ingredients.
the discomfort to hear everything from the bedroom, plus the bad luck of having rude and loud door neighbours.
Thierry welcomed us in his Riad Matham and we enjoyed it from start to finish. Our 3 teenage children shared a comfortable, spacious room with 3 single beds while our room was small but very comfortable as well. We enjoyed our stay with Thierry tremendously and are looking forward to going back.
The location was superb and the whole Riad beautiful,
Perfect Riad, serene, calming and peaceful especially after a day out in the bustling souks. Very friendly and accommodating
The hammam wasn't working when we were there
Beautiful interior, nice, carefully selected items and decoration in every part of the riad. The location is great, close to everything (at first a little hard to find, but it's true for all the other riads, I guess), and the staff is kind and very attentive. I loved the breakfast, and everything in Riad Matham. The whole riad is very quiet and peaceful, the rooftop view is amazing, Matham's got the highest rooftopspot in it's surroundings. I couldn't find any better riad to stay in than this one! :)
Beautiful tranquil atmosphere in this road but at the same time it is right in the midst of the Medina Friendly, helpful staff and owner Breakfasts -traditional Moroccan served in the courtyard Dinners -traditional Moroccan served by the fire Rooftop terrace Located close to northern end of souk Spacious suite Good heating
Elegant, calm, beautifully restored riad run by kind and courteous French Thierry. Loved our dinner by the fire. Big room with high ceilings. Roof terrace views.
Bed + pillows pretty hard but still definitely stay here.
- the riad has amazing decoration, all the rooms have a lot of character. it's so beautiful -the whole place is very clean and the rooms are well equipped (at least mine was) -there is a terrace upstairs that is just amazing, i loved it so much -there is also a little tower on the terrace that you can climb up and you see the whole of marrakech -breakfast was really nice, better than any hotel i've ever stayed at in marrakech -we had our own key for the main door so it was very easy gettting in and out of the riad without disturbing anyone -we checked out at 12pm however our flight back was only at 5pm and Thierry let us stay for as long as we needed -amazing location, in the middle of the medina, 3 mins away from the spice market, 10 mins away from Jemaa el Fna -the owner,Thierry is friendly and helpful I would 100% recommend to anyone!
-hard to get to, but it's in the middle of medina in a really good location so it is fair enough -wifi didn't reach the rooms very well, kept having to go onto the corridors to get signal -more drinks for breakfast would have been nice but there were plenty already so this is me being extra fussy
I liked everything about it. I only stayed here one night after coming back from a 2 week trip and it was absolutely perfect.
The interior and design of the Riad is very beautifully done and the views from the roof terrace are spectacular, the rooms and bathrooms are also very nice, except our children's room upstairs was very very small, and there could have been more light.
We arrived by car with two children and a fair amount of luggage. We parked our car where it didn't feel very safe and couldn't work out the directions of the Riad, and got completely lost, showed around by a bunch of youngsters that wanted money for it. What should have been 10 min. become a very stressful 30min. We feel Thierry should offer all his clients, especially the ones arriving by car to be met and taken to the Riad, as its location would be impossible to find by anybody on their own. We met another couple from Portugal that told us that the same happened to them and it left all of us in a state of panic. This could be so easily avoided if the owner ensures people get taken to the hotel. One still has enough opportunity to get lost in the medina. I can only advise people not to travel by car to Marrakech if they intend to stay at the Medina.
This Riad is a complete Oasis inside...its just beautiful! In a great location and the staff are lovely. Thierry was very helpful and came to meet us late in the evening when we arrived, our flight was delayed and they put us on an alternative flight which made us late for the transfer we organised the Riad. However we we arrived at Marrkech Airport we had information call the Riad and then someone came to meet us there to take us to the Riad. I would strongly recommend a transfer organised by the Riad for ease of finding the place and the cost was affordable as well approx €15. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and the staff friendly.
Most of the staff will only speak Arabic or French, so if Thierry is not around then it is difficult to communicate with other staff if you only speak English. This was never too much of a problem though as the staff would call Thierry to assist if needed.
We only spent one night in Riad Matham so it's difficult to rate, but it was beautiful with a wonderful roof terrace (which we unfortunately didn't get to use). Location was great.
We had a bit of a misunderstanding regarding the fare for the bus/airport transfer, also we were left waiting for some time before collected upon arrival. However, we managed to sort everything with Thierry.
We loved Riad Matham. We had dinner and it was delicious. Service and owner very helpful. Roof top views are amazing. Our suite on ground floor was huge and very comfortable. The design all over the Riad is tasteful and stylish. Highly recommend
Atmospheric and beautiful riad away from hustle and bustle of the souk. The owner and staff made us feel very welcome and the food was delicious. Peaceful and relaxing.
We personally found the bed harder than we prefer but nevertheless we slept well.
Truly enjoyed our stay in the riad Matham, Thierry is a great host , the staff friendly and helpful , the riad and rooms tastefully decorated with original features. Great hideway away from the hustle and bustle of the souks and busy streets.
Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and everyone hospitable. We enjoyed our stay very much
Our room was delightful - being on the ground floor, it was just a little susceptible to the general noise of the other guests 'coming and going'. Not a problem for us but if I did stay again, I would opt for an upstairs room so that I felt a little more 'removed'
STRUCTURE AND DECOR WAS VERY GOOD, COMFORTABLE SEATING.
BREAKFAST WAS SAME EVERY DAY.EVENING MEAL WAS EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT CONSISTED OF,TAGINE WAS 18 EUROS EACH FOR POT OF VEG. PLUS A LITTLE BIT OF MEAT AT THE BOTTOM. = 36 EUROS.
