We loved being able to stay so close to Jameii El Fna and have a nice, clean place to sleep. The staff were outstanding and the price is reasonable. The terrace is beautiful and the food is decent. It's a perfect place for a quick visit.
Be careful if anyone tries to take your bags in a cart, they will ask for a ridiculous amount of money and make sure you tell the taxi driver not to have that happen. The showers were COLD COLD COLD after 3-5 minutes, so don't expect endless hot water.
The owner of Riad Morgane is a lovely lady with geniune warmth and hospitality. The Riad is located down a long winding back street so you get the feel of really being part of the Medina. It is located at the far end of Bab Doukkala and its only 10 mins to the souks via Dar el Bacha or 10 mins to Jemma el Fna via Fatima Zahra boulevard. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace which is really nice. We ate dinner on the roof terrace on the first night and it was wonderful. The night receptionist Si Mohammed is very helpful, waking up early to serve breakfast one day as we were running the half marathon. Take up the offer of the airport transfer as it is quick simple and very reasonable. Nothing but praise for this Riad.
a nice, quiet spot hidden away from the bustle of the media. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the roof terrace is a comfortable, we'll maintained sun trap.
The wifi is only accessible on the roof and drops out a lot. This however, is a minor quibble. The location can be hard to find the first time nut the owners will organise a taxi from the airport for new arrivals. We we arriving at the bus station though, and for some reason the same arrangements cannot be made from there so we spent some time wandering the back alleys looking for the riad.
Good location slightly less than 20 min walk to main centre. Nice roof top terrace for breakfast.
Somewhat cold at night time but extra blankets provided.
Friendly welcome from Mohammed. Large double bed. Nice and quiet apart from during calls to prayer.
Gloomy bathroom and lack of privacy due to no door. Bouncy pillows. Difficult to open wardrobe door because of position of bed. (Room 4) Rather basic continental breakfast - it would have been nice to have some fruit and yogurt, for example.
Excellent location, a short walk to el fna. Lovely owners, beautifully decorated rooms, very clean with lots of hot water. Good breakfast. Would highly recommend 2 day camel trek they organised for us! Overall excellent riad
A bit tricky to find fist time but no problems after that!
Very good value for money option. Room was good and very clean. Shower was great. Breakfast was nice on the terrace.
Staff can speak only minimal english.
Position near principal square marocchinian style quite right price
Difficult to find cannot reachable by car
Very friendly, helpful persons at the hotel. Rooms were clean, nice terrace, close to the Jema El Fna market (15 mins).
We had some issues with the hot water, but they were solved really fast the next morning.
Lovely spot. Great roof terrace. Clean rooms, nice beds and lovely little bathrooms.
Quiet and comfortable riad. Not so close to the main square, but really not very far—it's an interesting walk through the souks anyway. The terrace is great and the small pool is also a nice addition. Breakfast is adequate. I was able to organise airport transfers with their help, which was useful.
The staff really didn't speak much English, which led to a few comical moments of misunderstanding and inability to get message across. The owner also disappeared a couple of nights to go to parties and so couldn't be contacted. Like most riads, this is hard to find when you don't know the exact directions (however this can hardly be taken as a true criticism)
Everything was very nice and clean. The crew was helpfull and professional. The place is very stylish, breakfast was basic and tasty. The terrace is a wonderfull place to sit and and relax, sunny and cosey. We will defently go again next time in marakesh.
It was a little bit hard to find the place when we first arrived. It is impossiable to find alone, call the doorman to be collected from the nearby squere. The rooms in the first floor suffers from the noise coming from the patio.
The Riad is great, comfortable in a very quiet borough of Medina! The breakfast is yummy! The terrace is a place to relax yourselves.
We loved the riad and the staff were friendly
Our only gripe was that the beds were too hard for us
we went there 2 times, at the beginning of our trip and in the end, During our first stay we liked riad Morgane very much, the rooms and the roofterace is very nice, and the position is very good
the first time it's a little bit hard to find, but after you know the way the location is great, During our second stay they wanted a little bit more money than we agreed on with booking.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Morgane. We were made very comfortable and the room (and rest of Riad) was very clean, but still really traditional. The breakfast was great and so lovely to be able to sit up on the roof terrace in March!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful and a special thank you to Ayeisha (probably spelled wrong) who was a ray of sunshine every morning. The Riad is in a great position within easy walk of all sites....a bit scary on first arrival - as down lots of alleyways - but very quickly get to know the way and local people really friendly - we didn't feel worried at any time....a great stay, Thank You
Great, personable service from knowledgeable staff!
This is a lovely Riad that is really great value. Very clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are great! There is a beautiful roof terrace with sun loungers, and a covered eating tent with divans, rugs and heating. I would definitely recommend this place, if I go to Marrakesh again I would want to stay at Riad Morgane.
The shower had low water pressure, but it is manageable for a few days. Some reviews complain about the noise level being high, but I think it is just the nature of the local properties! There are no carpets (only rugs) and the rooms all face into an internal courtyard, which means that the noise will travel.
Loved the roof terrace tented area, great place for a chill out
Knocking at door for entrance, breakfast was bit lame, location was extremely hard to find, down a lot of alleyways
price location quality of rooms roof terrace breakfast
no bathroom door in the ensuite!
- clean - very good helpful owners
- We have 3 electric plug in room, all are broken. Only one in bathroom works. - In Touerg room on ground room there is no gsm signal and no wifi signal.
Lovely welcome with a glass of tea. Very clean, the lady who showed me to my room gave it a final check over to make sure everything was clean - it was. Beautiful roof terrace with sun loungers and a covered eating area with divans and rugs (and heating). The owners and staff are all thoughtful people who clearly care about the comfort of their guests. If I go to Marrakesh again, I would definitely want to stay at Riad Morgane.
It is rather easy to get lost in the narrow streets between the Riad Morgane and the main square but it is only a ten minute walk with lots of interesting shops and markets on the way.
