The decoration of the place is really well done and with attention to details. The breakfast is also really good.
According to where your room s, don't except to have too much intimacy. This is a quite small riad and you can hear everything that happens in the patio.
I never had personal attention like this, the manager of the hostel was incredibly attentive to us and helped us with everthing we needed, showing the moroccan hospitality. Breakfast was really good, and the room too.
The host was very polite and attentive. They offered a cup of tea to every arriving guest (make sure, you ask to put the sugar separately, as in Morocco they make it really sweet). This is a very small scale hotel that offers you experience of a Moroccan style house/living - typical decorations, furniture, interior.
It's a challenge to find the hotel by yourself, yet, if you're determined, you can still do it. The towels were grayish. Noisy doors in the rooms, they would wake you up. Breakfast choice could be better - with some fruits e.g. Coffee and packaged juice could be better too.
- beautiful facilities, excellent for couples - nice breakfast - cleanliness - rooftop
Unfortunately I am disappointed with the manager who seemed lovely and helpful throughout the whole stay but, when asked for help with supplying real argan oil, gave us poor quality cooking oil which cannot be used for skin (saying it's pure argan oil from Atlas mountains :/ ). I have no tolerance for dishonesty and taking advantage of (naive) tourists - noise - no door for the bathroom - location (quite dangerous to walk in the evening)
The riad is in the bustling medina but is also an oasis of peace, tastefully done with friendly service, and lovely breakfast served by welcoming Ali
Book early to avoid disappointment as the rooms get booked quickly
This hotel is special. I had missed my flight back to the US and booked a room here for one night. Having missed my flight, I was sad and in a bad mood because I had to purchase an entire new ticket. The staff greeted me at my cab, and led me to the hotel. When I said I missed my flight he made me tea and cookies. Kindness in that moment meant so much. The room was really comfortable and breakfast was big and delicious.
First night in Morroco spent here, great and very helpfull staff (Abduhl). Generous breakfast.
Cant remember something important..
For me the location of the riad is excellent, you enter through a small alley on Bab Doukalla street right in front of the mosque. Very decent rooms, peaceful neighborhood and Yousef is very helpful. Bab Doukalla is a busy market street that goes directly to Dar Bacha palace and the souks leading to Jema el Fna. Once you get the hang of it, it's a peace of cake to walk everywhere and feels safe even for a solo traveller.
Agree on how much you're going to pay upfront. The last morning of my stay they started adding the city tax (€2,5 per day) and converting euros to dirhams, so you might be surprised by the final amount.
Riad located in Medina by local souks (not souks for tourists) in walking distance to every must-see places and bus station. Helpful staff, nice terrace, tasty breakfasts, and nice designed rooms
It's almost impossible to find it without guidance first time. One guy offered to guide us but he demanded 50 dirhams for that and situation became a little unpleasant. Also bathrooms have no door :)
location, staff, and room were excellant!
Location is good - near the soaks, beautifully decorated and clean riad, very nice staff (Abdul is very helpful ).I recommend to get pick up from airport - relax and enjoy your stay in Marrakesh :)
Would be nice to get some fresh fruit for breakfast.
Booking.com shows the location around Zitoun Kdm but when the booking has been done and you get the description how to find the hotel, it is actually located pretty much opposite Djemaa el fna, closer to the bus station
moroccan atmosphere of the riad
hard to find location not a noisy proof room but .... this is a moroccan style riad
Good location in Medina, close to Souls. Manager Abdul was multilingual with excellent English and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. We had a room at the back which was cool & quiet. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
Location a little hard to find the 1st time (could do wwith a more detailed map). Bed was very firm (no springs) but more comfortable than expected.
Very calm place in a Busy Medina. The decoration is lovely
You dont have much privacy since you cant close the door Other Guests Will wake you up when they are taking their breakfasts
the manager was friendly. Room a bit dark and compact on the ground floor, but clean!!! Location is not too bad.
breakfast could be much much better. Got really bored of having the same plain breakfast 3 days in a row.
The rooms are very beautiful, beds are comfortable and the breakfast was very rich. The en-suite bathrooms are very well designed and the plumbing, as it is often a problem in riads of the Medina, worked well: i.e. it didn't have the distinctive* smell other bathrooms have. We also had a great deal on Booking.com (less than 20 Euro) for our first floor double.
The person who works there was very friendly and helpful. The Riad has just 5 rooms so it makes it to a special place in the big city!
I liked in this Riad that the staff was not pusshing you like in other places to buy buy buy services. The staff here is more professional and will give you the right advices if you ask. The Riad is a quite place with all you need.
First time it was difficoult to find the location. I try by google maps, but we reach wrong location and need to pay one local guy to bring the the riad.
Staff were friendly. Nice roof terrace.
Bed was like sleeping on a rock. Wifi didn't reach the rooms. Location, far I'm a back corner being surrounded by beggars.
good breakfast, hot water, and very clean room.
unstable wifi,and not kindness stuff.
The staff here are simply the best. They make you feel welcomed and give you tips on where to go and see. In addition, the staff introduced me to tips on how to haggle. I complained about the length of the bed in my room and was immediately given a room with a longer bed. In a nutshell, this Riad comes highly recommended if you are a solo traveller. Some of the people that stayed in this Riad became my travel companions and still stay in touch until. Likewise, the staff can organise trips at a competitive rate. This Riad is out of this world!
Wifi primarily works on the ground floor.
Rich breakfast including not only only the usual bread and jam, but also a boiled egg. The riad is quiet near the center, clean and comfortable.
It´s quiet hard to find at first, but you should´nt come to Marrakesh if you got a problem with that. The Coffee is thin and tasteless compared to a normal morrocan Cafe. I recommend the tea.
