The bedroom was APPAULING. There was paint peeling off of the walls, the bed was solid and the bathroom stank. On arrival, my toilet flush was broken, so the staff member tried to fix it but it didn't work. The shower was ice cold so I froze underneath it! I tried to read my book and the lamp started flickering, it then just died...
Khalid's time keeping is terrible - ten minutes means an hour, so expect that when waiting for food or shuttles. He, his team and the other guests are also exceptionally loud, so it's difficult to sleep at night. The wifi didn't reach my room, so the only way to get it, when there isn't a power cut, is to sit at reception!
I appreciate that this is a budget hotel, but it's very poor quality overall. I've stayed in two other riads in Marrakech since, both of which have been cheaper and of a better quality.
Khalid, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. He and his team give you food if you're hungry and drink if your thirsty, which is helpful being so far from town. The pool is beautiful.
