Breakfast was amazingly generous and I loved the decor. It is also really easy to find and has very friendly helpful staff.
On our second stay the room was better cleaned than the first time, was still cold but better isolated than the first room. The air co was not working well, we were provided with a heater that heat it. However even if it was bigger, nicely decorated, with more furniture ( a nice bank) a major problem was that it had no toilet doors, just a wooden open panel so you could see the toilet seat from the room so no privacy at all if you are not travelling alone. Plus the sewage was smelling strongly until the room since there was no door, so you had the impression that I was sleeping in the toilet. The most shocking thing , I have to say it once again, was that one morning I saw the cleaning lady dusting with a cloth and she went to prepare breakfast for us and she wanted to start it without washing her hands!!!!When I asked her to do it she just run plain water, than I asked her if she doesn't use a soap, it seems she NEVER did, because she could not even find the soap! Another thing we didn't like at all it was that we asked the owner for a place to eat and he said he will call a friend to bring us to a nice place, the place was very nice, and first the friend seem very friendly, than a kind of a stalker until we realised that he was an unofficial guide and that does it for money while he was telling us that we are friends, after I asked the owner again and he said that 'he is not actually a friend and to give him money' but we felt tricked into it, would have been fair to ask us if we want a guide not to trap us in.
The owner was extremely nice, he even invited us for a glass of wine and offered a ride to the bus station as well as the staff at the reception they get maximum score, however the overall score is the average with the cleaning lady/breakfast serving lady that gets minimum score. The common spaces were nicely decorated with character, especially the pool area and the roof terrace, some original pieces in the room as well. The location is good, about 15 min. walking from main square, in a local souk, that look a bit strange but was not dangerous even in the night. We order a transfer from the airport (costs more than double a normal taxi, but without it the riad would be difficult to find, we left by taxi).
When we arrived the room was not very cleaned, there was lots of dusts on the floor, it looked like wasn't vacuumed for a month and the room was extremely cold. The air co was not working well, we were provided with a heater that in the end manage to heat it a bit, but the room was not well isolated, with large spaces next to the door, next to the windows, and a open panel next to the toilet seat, so no privacy. The most shocking thing was that one morning I saw the cleaning lady dusting with a cloth and she went to prepare breakfast for us and she wanted to start it without washing her hands!!!!When I asked her to do it she just run plain water, than I asked her if she doesn't use a soap, it seems she never did, because she could not even find the soap! Plus one morning she was out of orange juice, one tourist went to buy oranges that were sold just in front of the riad for his group of friends, but we were left without fresh juice because she just didn't care, she could not even understand 'salt' in French nor English, I had to eat without. The room was very badly isolated, sound included, I was waken up couple of times a night (music at the reception, mosque calling, high hills); it had very few furniture, not even a chair, it was small, just as wide as the bed plus 2 night tables and on them were 2 huge lamps that were taking all the space and I could not even put my cosmetics there. Not what I expected seeing the pictures, we were disappointed. No wifi in the rooms, not even on the terrace, only around the pool.

Ibrahim and Abdel were excellent hosts and looked after us both very well. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, yes it can be a little noisy in the morning with the mosque etc but this is the culture. Abdel was so funny and a real character and made us tagine on several occasions. Ibrahim was amazing too and gave us some excellent advice on traveling through Morocco. The riad is centrally located- 10-15 min walk to the square which is great as you're not staying in a touristy area but feels more authentic morocco. Would definitely stay again. Good riad with great staff
wifi only around the swimming pool; our rooms were in the ground floor and were very cold although we had 2 heaters; there was no possibility of closing the room from outside even from inside, but we felt safe inside the house (there were no other clients); hard to find the riad - we came late in the night and although there were almost no people on the street, finding the arrow sign for the riad was hard, had to ask the taxi driver who didn't know the place so called the owner; parking is approx. 500m far away for 5€/day and it does not belong to the riad; finding the place and parking during the day is almost impossible due to the crowds in the very narrow streets full of shops
marrocan style of accommodation with open roofs; breakfast on terrace on the top of the house; very friendly owner living in the house; very friendy and helpful staff; perfect location right in the heart of medina; the owner didn't receive the confirmation from booking.com but he solved the situation without any troubles (although we came very late in the night); I do recommend this place but better to come in summer :)
The riad is very noisy as the doors don't block out the noise. The front door buzzer is also very loud and resonates across the entire riad. It doesn't help that the staff doesn't respond immediately when there is someone at the door (especially at night), so all the buzzing and knocking can be annoying. Bring earplugs!
The riad is tastefully decorated and easy to locate. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Nice pool although we didn't use as winter, as well as good wifi although not in the rooms.
Staff are amazing!!! Such nice, chilled guys happy to go above and beyond!
the owner of the hotel is very gentle and friendly, he gave us all info about the Medina, and offered us wine every night. he didn't want to charge for it, i felt the need to give him a good tip. If you want to spend some days in the Medina, it's perfect.
Best staff ever. Very guestfriendly and helpful to survive in Marrakesch. Very nice location with pool, breakfast on the top of the riad.
Nothing: it was perfect for me. I had reviewed many other potential places & fortunately selected this one. The riad was easy to find & I had no concerns walking there after midnight.
What a great find! Great quiet location in the Bab Doukala sector of the Medina a really 'happening' kind of area. Abdel the manager simply could not do enough for me...arranged a 2 day tour of Marrakech/Souks/new city with driver & scooter, a full day tour of the valleys and invited me to join him and his wonderful friends for dinner on two consecutive nights. Aplogized that there was some renovation taking place but it was not inconvenient.Went above & beyond what you could expect in a Riad, nothing was too much trouble even to escorting me at 5:45 am to find a cab to take me to the train station! I had flown in from Burkina Faso after working in the desert & he even took care of my dirty laundry...for free!. B/fast was continental but huge. Arab culture at its best. We communicated in French and Arabic, but Abdel also understands some English.
Great location, great staff and owner, very clean rooms
The owner and his family were very helpful and we were able to use the fridge on the roof terrace for our beveridges - it was lovely to have cool drinks in the afternoon while relaxing in the sun. Excellent location and great value for money.
