Really liked the friendly staff, the comfort of the room, access to a roof terrace, plenty of space in outside the room to use to relax in if need be, having the place to ourselves be ause it was low season, some warm weather (14-22C in mid February!), arranging our transfers to and from the airport, ordering pizza for us when we were too tired to venture out again in the evening
The original room that we booked did not have a bathroom or toilet and did not have any natural light other than the doors that opened out to the courtyard where the other guests/staff frequented. We were given a free upgrade because the original room had been mis-sold to us. The wifi was fairly non-existent. You had to arrange food through their kitchen 24hrs in advance. The towels in the bathroom weren't changed every day.
Friendly and helpfull staff Great Location Beautiful design
We had the Marbout suite - a little away from the others and opening onto terrace, so great for those with active small ones. Very friendly and kind staff, including an unbelievably smiley night porter. Easy walk to centre of activities, friendly, if raw, neighbourhood - we loved Cafe Henna, and its ethos. Very pleasant week in Marrakech, not least thanks to the Riad. Be very happy to return!
The riad is absolutely wonderful, stylish and artistic and impecably managed - the staff is very professional, attentive, and truly nice. Moreover, during our stay, we had a personal problem (a health incident). Francois (the owner) and the entire staff were EXTREMELY helpful, going way beyond what we could have expected - if it wasnt for them, I dont know what we would have done. We highly recommend this place.
A warm welcome from Khaled with information about Marrakesh. Lovely room and superb dinner of salads, tagine with figs and walnuts and an amazing dessert. Room and entire Riad is beautiful. Hassan looked after us very well too. Definitely recommend this hotel.
very private atmosphere, in a small riad; competent and friendly personnel
As usual my two friends and I are never that organised when it comes to sorting out the finer details when planning our holiday, like accommodation. Hence, yet again, I was frantically combing through booking.com looking for somewhere while standing in the queue waiting to board our flight to Marrakech. Well this time it paid off as the owner Francois and his team at Riad Sahara Nour were splendid. Even with the short notice they got back to me and helped arrange an airport transfer. The rooms were very nicely appointed with all the amenities you would require. Francois was very helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to eat, with all his suggestions coming up trumps. One of my party lost his iphone while out and about in town (totally his fault!) and Khalid (front of house) went above and beyond to try and get it back for him. Sadly we did not find it in the end but not before a number of possible handsets were brought to us. I would highly recommend staying at the excellently priced Riad Sahara Nour. …. Oh and the complimentary breakfasts and tea were spot on too!
We’ve spent a fabulous time at Riad Sahara Nour. It’s a really perfect place to discover the real Marrakech from the inside and enjoy at the same time a really relaxing vacation. Located in the medina, you will be within walking distance to all places of interest like the Jemaa el-Fna square, the souks, the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Mosque,… The riad has a beautiful and traditional interior design and our room was perfect for our family. The very friendly staff will welcome you in the traditional Moroccan way and make you feel at home. We look forward coming back to riad Sahara Nour soon!
Everything was perfect!
The riad was stunningly beautiful with excellent helpful and friendly staff. It was a real contrast from the busy streets of Marrakesh and often a welcome relief. It's only a short 15 minute walk into the main square when you're keen to head out and other local amenities are close at hand. The owner and staff were very helpful at pointing you in the right direction with whatever you required and offered good advice. The room itself was spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend getting transport to the riad arranged beforehand as it would have been tricky to find alone, despite there being signs.
The staff made the our stay fantastic! Breakfast was delicious and the room was perfect. Stunning riad with a good location for exploring both the old and new city. Call to prayer from the nearby mosque was a little loud but we soon got used to it. Definitely recommended.
Lovely staff very friendly. Good facilities, good location
The staff were so helpful and kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable and help us understand how to navigate the medina as it was our first stop in Morocco. The location was excellent as it was very easy to find your way to the medina entrance. The road to the gate of the medina had more locals and less tourists and endless food stalls.
Everything :) the riad is beautiful, the breakfast was not so reach but perfect, everything is very clean, it's in the center of the medina. Really excellent.
We had a great experience and a very welcome chat with the owner of the Riad (luckily someone who speaks English.. is very rare to find in the city). He told us his story, and showed the places around who worth a visit. For a problem with the room he gave us the suite without asking or charging us for more money and, nothwithstanding we left very early (around 5:00) we found the breakfast awaiting for us!
A bit scared of the street in front of the Riad. Better not to walk alone!
Rhiad felt like a little oasis set a minute's walk off a very bustling street. The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly and made us feel very welcome. Rooms were clean & comfortable and the courtyard cool & tranquil.
Such a lovely authentic and peaceful Riad to return to after the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The owners and staff were extremely hospitable and helpful. I can't remember ever having experienced such good service before in other hotels that I have stayed in throughout the world.
The Riad Sahara Nour is a nice and quiet place, a good base for a visit in Marrakesh. The staff is very kind and attentive.
room could have benefited from a little more natural light
wonderful Riad with helpful and friendly staff, we would definitely come back!
The staff made us feel at home especially the owner Mr Francois
The Riad itself is a haven in the busy Medina. The shared terrace is bright and sunny and the beautiful public rooms around the courtyard provide pleasant shade and plenty of French-language reading material. Francois and Lucile are charming and extremely helpful, and their staff are kind and friendly.
Marrakesh was our first stop in Morocco and this Riad was definitely the highlight of our stay in Marrakesh. We felt that we were visiting a friend's house rather than staying in a hotel. François welcomed us with warm hospitality and he also helped us to plan our trip to the dessert. It was his kindness and hospitality that kept bringing our mind back to Marrakesh while we were travelling in other places in Morocco.
Wish we could stay in Marrakesh for a bit longer.
