- great position - very good value for money - nice people - breakfast above average
- they didnt tell us we will be charged additional taxes (above agreed price) - some rooms in higher floors accessible via slippy stairs (we didnt mind, but somebody could)
Brilliant location, staff hugely helpful and friendly. Easily the cheapest and best place we stayed in our trip to Morocco.
wery helfull stuff good breakfasts under the sky :) free tarace clean great location, 10 meters from center quiet
we loved everyting :)
Clean hotel with perfect location, friendy and veryhelpful stuff
Bit difficult to find in the messy streets of the town
A warming wellcome and excellent staff ..very nice place to stay..
The location was great, the staff were very nice and helpful and it was really reasonable. If you're on a tight budget, this is the place for you.
The room seemed a little damp and the shower was never very hot but for the price, It was still very good.
The staff was very good and friendly, location is also good and easy to find with gps, it's very fresh inside and soooo quiet...
No privacy like in any riad, for breakfast Nescafe, no hot water, the room is very moisty and it seamed that you sleep in the wet bed.
The staff was very nice.
For the price, bathrooms were poor, so did the rooms. There were a couple children who cried loudly in the morning and didn't let us sleep since very early. In a riad you can hear every noise your neighbours make.
Riad is located inside of medina. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, pleasant pation.
nicely renovated riad, fresh colours, located right in the middle of the medina, obliging staff.
it seemed the air didn't circulate enough, so everything felt a bit damp after a while, eg towels wouldn't dry.
Brilliant location. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Rooms were fine for the price, although our bathroom was a bit the worse for wear.
Nothing. You could pay a lot more and do a lot worse.
Very simple but comfy hostel, spotlessly clean and great value for money. All staff very friendly and helpful and we appreciated the fact we could use the kitchen.
Staff were great and good location for price
Breakfast. Nescafé !! :( just bread, Fried bread and jam Also, our toilet had a very unpleasant Oder and no one cleaned the room
A beautiful riad for the price. Why stay at a hostel?!
Temperamental but mostly cold showers.
very nice place, so charming. excellent personal. definetely a place you want to stay at while in Marrakesh.
Good breakfast. Good wifi. V. helpful and friendly. Comfy beds and a warm welcome of tea on the roof terrace. Very central and easy to find from the car parks.
Lovely old riad with a beautiful orange blossom tree growing in the centre, that gave a wonderful aroma. All members of staff were friendly and helpful staff. The location of riad was excellent; ideal for exploring the medina within the old part of city. Clean, spacious room and lovely breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice. We were sad to leave but will return. Thank you
Staff friendly, polite, helpful - the riad was quiet, the rooms clean. A lovely sense of privacy. Location in the old medina a few minutes from the windy beautiful soft sandy beach.
There was nothing I didn't like - but if you're young and wanting a riad with fun energy this might be too quiet for you.
Very welcoming, excellent breakfast. We had the Anis room and therefore had wifi just about in the room, this was really good for us.
The admosphere is very humid, it is the month of March and it is still cold and damp inside.
The value for the money was all right.
Nothing to make a song about.
A very central location. Very good value. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The roof terrace was dirty, the plastic chairs filthy - altogether unappealing and unusable.
The Riad Sidi Magdoul in Essaouira is no luxury hotel, so it depends what you want. If you want a comfortable bed, a decent en-suite, a clean, functional room, free wi-fi, a very nice breakfast, helpful (and really nice) staff, and if value for money is your top priority, then stay here. If you want a hairdryer, heating/a.c., paper hankies, fluffy towels, subtle lighting, little bottles of shampoo, views, then pay more. Our room wasn’t huge, but for two nights it was fine. You have to pay cash, and extra drinks cost extra. I loved this place. It was really easy to find as well (get a decent map or take a photo of the one at the wall gate.) It was about a 10 minute walk from the Supratours bus station, and was right in the heart of the town. There was a nice rooftop terrace too. The rooms up here looked wonderful. We wanted to hire bikes, and the guy on the desk was really helpful. Go to Essaouira – it’s calm, relaxed, beautiful. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here, and in this wonderful Riad.
coffee could be better.
comfortable, typical Moroccan, friendly personnel ...
Attention! I do not recommend for asthmatics!!!
