In the heart of the Medina, this 17th-century riad is a 10-minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square and 650 ft from Ben Youssef Madrasa.

The Naoura Barrière is spread over a beautiful garden landscape, centrally located in Marrakesh near the heart of the medina (historic quarter). It offers a peaceful setting and luxury facilities.
Score from 396 reviews Wonderful
The staff members Abdoul, Saïd and the ladys were always very helpfull, and trying to answer every request, the Riyad is beautiful and the location is great, close to Jamma El Fna. Breakfast is amazing on the warm and cozy terrace.
It was a bit expensive for the standing. The main dish at the dinner was not good and expensive for Marrakesch ( 320 dirhams for 2) but the staff made efforts to compensate with a fantastic entry and fruit salad.
Felt like home. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Small guest house so very attentive to your needs. Very traditional decor, gives you a taste of the real morocon culture. Lovely morocon tea. Safe to leave your belongings openly.
Wouldnt class it as a 5 star hotel, more of a 3 star. I had a 2 year old with me, quite dangerous due to balcony areas. Pool is totally over exaggerated on pics, we did not use. Food at hotel is very highly priced but you can get the same cheaper outside. Could do with brighter lighting in rooms. Breakfast is not great, bread, jam, coffee, crepes everyday. You have to pay extra for omelettes. No parking for hotel, have park in a nearby carpark. Staff mainly speak French or Arabic and only a little english. No television in rooms. Way too expensive for what it offers.
Staff were excellent
Bed was very hard and wi-fi dropped out a lot
Wonderful experience of a Marrakech riad, all members of staff extremely helpful and accommodating of a family travelling with two young children. Spotless rooms, great location and lovely sitting areas on terrace to escape the hustle and bustle.
We arrived at the Riad late on Friday night, after quite a hectic joun=rney - the taxi driver and none of the locals knew where it was located - a passing child on his bike eventually guided us there. When we got to the Riad, we were greeted by a very hostile man who was not expecting us. Despite showing him our booking, he was adamant that we had made no Booking (despite that I'm now ablke to write this review on Booking.com). Luckily, a Riad round the corner had availability and the staff were much more hospitable! A stressful experience overall and the 2nd time this has happened through Booking.com (although last time the hostess did everything she could, despite speaking no English to organise a place in her home for us to stay. Very disappointing service - I will not be using Booking.com nor recommending this Riad.
- the staff and the owner - probably the best reception and services we have ever had in any of our travels. Thank you! - perfect location - close to all attractions, but away from the crouds. fancy restaurants and cheap places to eat near by. Try the hole-in-the-wall tajine place on the street (just next to the door of the riad). - comfortable firm beds and pillows - excellent bathroom - good water pressure, nice amenities - try the food in the riad - the terrace is perfect
The staff was very friendly and very obliging. They all try to satisfy all our wishes. Thank you so so much Sahid, Abdul and all the others! We loved to spend the evening on the roof terrace. There you can relax from the lively city. The rose wine was excellent! We can warmly recommend this Riad! We hope to come back to this place .. one day.
-Perfect Location (10 min walk from jemaa) -Wonderful staff -Nice breakfast -Everything you need, we didn´t miss anything!
-Poor Wifi -Sometimes low pressure on the water circuit
What a fabulous hotel, a real little oasis in the middle of the hectic Medina. Once the doors opened we knew we were in for a real treat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were really comfortable and had great character. its like a mini boutique hotel (only 6 rooms). A definite stop off if your staying in Marrakech for a few days. The roof top pool and garden were a real hit with our kids. If you can stay in the roof top suite that opens out onto the garden area, small, quaint and beautiful.
Nothing not to like, was fab!
We stayed in the suite at the top on the rooftop and it was perfect. The riad staff were all helpful and the food was very nice, the whole place was exceptionally clean.
Connect to the wifi at the kosy bar from the riad as their own connection was poor. Ensure you speak a good amount of French as English is not easily communicated in.
Staff were very helpful - I dropped my phone in a taxi and they got it back for me. Good location. Great air con so fine in the Marrakech heat.
The wifi only worked intermittently and only on the lower grounds.
Everything is just the best.
A real home from home.staff made us feel welcome. No request was to much trouble.A top end Riad at a very good price.
I can not fault this Riad.
Great location with welcoming/helpful staff.
The included breakfast was a bit sparse - but to be fair there were options to buy more.
Good points: Location of the riad was good, it was just off a main road but as we arrived so late at night (1.30am) it proved difficult to find for the taxi driver. Re-iterating a comment below, ask the taxi driver to take you to La Tanjia restaurant (which is very well known) and it is down the narrow street to the right of the restaurant maybe 150 yards or so. Even though we arrived so late, the night staff had been waiting for us and offered us tea when we arrived. We stayed in the superior suite which was very spacious and well decorated and included a sofa, plenty of mirrors for getting ready and good facilities. It looked even better than the pictures. Our room was the only room on the roof terrace which was nice and we often had the space to ourselves to use the pool and seating areas with nice views. Saeed the manager was very friendly and welcoming, he was always willing to help us and provide us with information when we needed. He told us about and booked us a day trip to the Atlas mountains which was one of our best experiences we had on our trip. The food at the riad was delicious and nicer than any restaurants that we ate at including La Tanjia, we highly recommend eating there. All the staff were very helpful, kind and friendly and whenever we asked for anything it was provided quickly such as ironing, tea, breakfast and lunch which was kindly prepared for us on a last minute request. The riad was close to Jamaa El Fna, about a 10-15 minute walk, as well as other places to visit such as Palais de Bahia and Palais El Badi. The riad was also only 10-15 minutes from the airport.
Bad points: There was nothing that we were particularly unhappy about during our stay. However, although wifi was provided and was good around the whole riad we didn’t get very good signal from our room on the roof terrace. This was not a big issue as we had wifi outside our room on the terrace in some spots. We spoke to Saeed about this who informed us that they are looking into getting some additional connections which would be good for future guests.
The place is in the old Medina and is a real oasis! The monent you go throug the door you feel like in the fairy tail! The owner is a very pleasant french women who decorated the place herself with a lots of style, preserving the original style of the beautiful atrium house from 18th century. Rooftop terrace w a small swimming pool and a great service. One of the best places I ever visited.
Riad very nice and confortable. Perfect position. Staff very helpful. Possibility to smoke shisha (6 euro). Nice terrace wth a small swimming pool ( we didnt try it). We could leave our rucksack after checking out with no problem.
The furniture was too dark for me. I prefere colorful places.
Best experience ever! Had the most amazing three days in Marakesh, the hotel was beautiful, clean and neat and very well located, best of all was their friendly staff allways smiling and willing to help!!! Restaurant very nice ,clean and a good price Their speciallity was a plate called " Pastilla" Tipical plate from Marruecos. Their best room is the one called "Bahia" but we saw the rest of them and were very nice too. This hotel made my stay unforgettable!!! The manager of the hotel offered a guide to recognize the Medina and the rest of the city and was the best. He is named Mustafa and verybody knows him because he is 20 years working as a guide in Marrakesh and speaks several idioms. I strongly recomend it for anyone who enjoys a comfortable and cozy place.
Nothing att all
The staff were first rate, Breakfast was delicious, coffee excellent ..... the service was very thoughtful and efficient and extra drinks etc. were reasonably priced. Riad Terra Bahia is an oasis of calm in a busy city. The roof terrace is particularly luxurious - lovely!
We found the bedding a little bit uncomfortable at first. For example the pillows and duvet were quite hard, softer would have been nice but this was a minor thing really.
Excellent location Friendly, helpful staff Beautiful, private suite Lovely sun terrace
WiFi on the top floor rather flaky Breakfast quite small and limited
