a bit loud!
The staff is amazing. They really did their best to make us comfortable and to please us!! The localization is very good! The room is simple, but very quite and the service of cleaning was incredible! I strong recommend it!
The staff was amazing, the location of the riad is wonderful as well- very close to the main square.
Very nice stuff, really great breakfast, very clean rooms, located very central, close to "la place". Very quiet neighborhood. Good value. They offer tours to other places in marocco.
The only big disappointment was that the stuff, although very nice, cheated us for money in the end. We had to pay extra taxes for our stay, which were not declared in the booking-confirmation. In our case we had to pay 35 euros extra, which is more or less the value of an extra night. When we contacted booking.com afterwords, they tolled us that the riad venezia did not stated these extra costs to them, so it is a clear case of cheating to us. The other thing was that the hosts offered us to get a ride from the airport, but there driver didnt show up so we had to find our way to the chaotic streets of the old town. Took us a wile to find the place in the end. Stressful experience. So i would recommend not to take their offer. We got a much cheaper taxi anyhow by our own. More little things: Its a riad, so be aware that you will hear almost everything from your neighbors, not for everybody. It gets really cold at night in the rooms and in the morning at the breakfast table. Sometimes you have to stand in line in order to get a table for breakfast because it is a pretty small place.
Yussef was the most perfect host, going more than out of his way to fulfil all our request to make us feel at home. The kindest gesture was preparing us a delicious Moroccan dinner on the house, just to show his appreciation for having us at the riad for a whole week.
The only thing that got us worried at the beginning was the cold rooms, but as it turned out it was us not knowing how to use the air conditioner as a heating. Everything else was perfect.
- Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. - Breakfast was great and came with coffee, tea, fresh juice, bread, pancakes, jam, egg, cheese and cake. It was served in the small lounge area downstairs, but there's also a rooftop terrace which can be used on warmer days. - Clean rooms. Not particularly large, butthey fit our needs. - Location in a quiet alley in the middle of the busy medina. It may be difficult to find at first though when you're not familiar with the city.
- The riad's courtyard is quite small and narrow. As a result, rooms on the lower floors don't receive any daylight (there are no exterior windows in the rooms). - Breakfast is served from 8:30 onwards. Not very handy when you plan to make an early start, i.e. when taking a day excursion outside the city.
We are a Catalan girls. We were perfect in Riad Venezia. The next time in Marrakech come back to Riad Venezia. Ahmed and the girls, have a big and nice heart. Regards from Carla and Noemí and a big laught for Ahmed!!!
Very helpful staff they could never do enough for you. Clean, value for money. Hot water.
Very basic facilities, room for improvement.
It was a fantastic little hideaway in a chaotic city.
Excellent riad! Well located, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend!
The riad is right in the middle of a souk, which is an excellent location if you want to walk home safe. The staff was very welcoming and even had breakfast served earlier so that we could eat before going on an excursion!
Although it is very well located, it is a bit difficult to get there the first time on your own - lot's of small streets there. Better to ask a taxi to take you there directly from the airport or arrange a transfer with the riad owner.
Excellent cosy hotel in medina - good price and very nice people.
the staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and never hesitate helping you whenever you needed as long they can. the breakfast was absolutely delicious. we had lovely comfy stay at Riad Venezia.
Very cosy with helpful staff. Toilet was clean. Breakfast was good.
Lighting was quite dim and bed was a little hard.
Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, extensive. The riad was beautiful and very cosy. There is a cooler/heater in the room. They clean rooms every day. Nice view from the toproof. We stayed ten days in the riad and we enjoyed our stay.
In the room downstairs you hear every little thing. Tip: ask staff to pick you up somewhere, you probably won't find it on your own and the 'faux guides' ask a lot of money.
Staff is courteous. We travelled with young kids so it was a bit small for us. Recommend for a couple but not with a family.
Location too interior and small for a family
