The location is ideal, though not particularly easy to find. It was great value for money and the sun terrace has great views.

The manager informed us that because it was Ramadan he would have to take us to the only restaurant which was open. This turned out to be terrible food, terrible service and extremely expensive. The manager knew that other restaurants were open and fully operational and lied to us. He was also very miffed when, after our dining experience we did not take him up on any of his other offers of tours or food. There was not a lock or a key for our room which meant we could not safely store our valuables anywhere.

Clean, cheap, good from the logistic point of view. I had the impression that they wash every day the floor. The common toilet was always clean.

The room did not have a window. You get what you pay for: ideal only for a very low budget.

Helpful, friendly staff. Plenty of options for activities around the city and tips for where to eat etc. Safe. Clean. Beautiful views of the city from the rooftop. Definitely recommend staying here.

Riad Verus is very well located, only a few minutes from the Medina. This is great, since you don't need a taxi to get to the main touristic area. Decoration is really pretty. There's a very cozy terrace with great views of the city. Staff were very friendly. We were greeted with a nice Moroccan tea. Breakfast was very nice too. We used several touristic services they offered. Guys went to the Haman, and loved it. There were only locals and according to them was a great experience. We also took a tour to the Medina with Mohammed, who was a really nice chap. Having him around was great to go to areas we wouldn't go otherwise and also to learn a bit more about the rich Moroccan culture. One of the best services the hotel provided was a tour to the desert. We were initially planning to go by car, but Nora (the owner, I suppose), suggested an arranged tour. She understood really well our group (6 friends) and told the guide that we wanted to be by ourselves, with no other groups. It was absolutely fantastic. We spent two nights at the desert, but really wanted to stay longer. The guides were great, really nice. Cooked great food, and treated us extremely well. We are generally against travelling with tours, but we have to admit that all suggestions given by Nora were really good and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute in Morocco!

This may well be appreciated by others, but we thought the little disco they put up in the evening was a bit too loud and annoying. But I can imagine that some people may like it a lot, since there isn't much going on in Fez at night. The terrace may be a great escape to those (like us) that didn't enjoy the loud music and prefer a nice chat.

Riad Verus is a beautiful place ideal for backpackers. It's very cozy and with a staff really polite, helpful and friendly (except for Noor, The owner). Rooms are very nice and clean. Thank you Youssef and the girls!!!

It was a bit too cold, there is no heating and water in the bathroom was never hot, just warm. Please, don't give confidence to Noor (the owner) is not a nice person: The last night I was there he beat a woman (the manager of the riad Leonore)

The place is ok, they had a nice riad, and nice rooms, at least it looked like nice...

The "girl boss", dont know the name, couldn't be unkindest. Lot of people, work in there, but no one is really nice... I found a couple of cockroaches in shower. I met people in there, and we all thought the same, you couldn´t feel like in home in this riad. Location is not easy to find for the first time.

Materials available on youtube make way to this riad much easier. Welcome mint tea at check in was a nice thing. Well working internet was a plus. Riad looks beautifull on the pictures. Just few minutes and you are in the heart of medina.

There were problems with hot water (no hot water in the sink at all; we had to take hot water from the shower). Cleanliness is just basic - dirt. On the web site it is written that you can pay with credit card but in the end we were told to pay in cash - after rejection we paid partially cash and partially card. We asked for earlier breakfast at 8:30 at check out (normal time starts at 9:30) as we had to drive for couple of hours. This was agreed with lady (owner) day before but in the end we got breakfast at 9:30. Being next time in Fes I would look for other opportunities though on pictures looks so nice.

Nicely decorated riad with helpful staff that makes you relax and feel at home. Clean and quiet. Excellent location, value for money. I would recommend this place to a friend.

There is little daylight. Breakfast was poor.

This place had atmosphere, and catered for all age groups and traveller types. All rooms are unique and have full facilities in a charming old building on the edge of the Medina. We had three different rooms when extending our stay. Top level is quiet but steps are steep. Courtyard level is great for interaction with everyone, but music is clearly heard in the room. Communal courtyard is delightful and is used to full extent. It is the site of breakfast and music is going until short of midnight with colourful lighting. People sit around and chat, eat the tasty morsels from the Riad's kitchen (a break from Moroccan food, as good as it is). We found staff extremely helpful and understanding of needs of foreigners of all ages. We heard numerous languages spoken by them: Arabic, English, French, Spanish. Our teenage daughters loved the henna decoration arranged for them, and enjoyed interacting with the wide range of guests. Nice touches included a communal dinner shouted by the owner on Christmas day and New Year's Eve. In all, excellent value for money and a great base in Fes.

Nothing we did not like, but people need to expect things the way they are in a developing country. Eg, don't panic over a rocking toilet bowl. There was a failure of hot water, but quickly resolved.

    breakfast is great.

You won't be able to find the Riad if you don't arrange pick up by the hotel. They can arrange different tours , bus tickets , taxi and other activities for you but all at pretty expensive price. Our family room on the ground floor cannot be locked and when we asked them, they said no worry it is under surveillance camera. The Riad is more a hostel and our room is normally the dorm we believe , hence no lock.

We both had a wonderful time at this small hotel. It was well designed and excellent wifi through and through. Most liked the large breakfasts and views from the viewing pod on the terrace. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

A little hard to find if you dont print off the directions.
