Riad Villa El Arsa

Un seul mot : génial! Magnifique petit riad, à 5 min de la place Jemaa el Fna. Hôtes constamment aux petits soins de façon à ce que vous vous sentiez comme à la maison .. Excellent petit déjeuner et très varié avec des confitures faites maison , une succulente table d'hôte avec des spécialités de la région ... Bref, un petit paradis. Encore merci à Noël, Fabrice et Simeo de nous avoir permis de passer un excellent séjour à Marrakech.

Le Riad est tenu a la perfection par des propriétaires charmant toujours a vos petits soins, il y a toujours une petite attention comme le thé avec les petits biscuits si vous faite une halte dans l'après midi au Riad, une petite visite avec Noël pour vous faire découvrir les souques, les conseils sur les choses intéressantes de Marrakech et bien d'autres..... Le Riad est au coeur de la médina a 2 pas de ma place Jemaa el-Fna . Bref si vous voulez réussir votre séjour a Marrakech commencez par choisir ce Riad car de ce coté vous ne serai pas déçu et accueilli comme de la famille !!! Stéphane et Olivia

L'accueil par Noël et fabrice était chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, ainsi que le diner typiquement marocain dans le patio étaient excellents et raffinés. La proximité des souks est appréciable.

L'impression qui domine est celle, merveilleuse, d'être des amis de la maison et non de simples touristes de passage.

L'accueil chaleureux et la disponibilité des propriétaires et du personnel. La décoration est soignée, un feu dans la cheminée est bienvenue en soirée d'hiver et la terrasse fort appréciée pour lézarder au soleil.

L'ensemble est très bien c'est surtout l’accueil qui est agréable, on y est à l'aise dés l'arrivée..Bravo

Everything excellent, a truly beautiful Riad, designed with a unique and atractive taste, you feel like you arrive home, confortable, very clean and the staff and owner are amazing people.

Friendly Riad owners, helpful and interested in guests well-being. We received a warm welcome and service throughout was personal, pleasant, helpful and reassuring. Nice breakfasts were served on the sun terrace - a great start to each day.. The room was attractively decorated and furnished, traditional and authentic, clean and comfortable. If staying in The Medina,you will find this is an ideal Riad in a quiet corner of town - significantly better than some others scattered around Medina. No hesitation in recommending if you are staying in Medina.

Medina is a busy, thrusting environment with a constant flow of mopeds rushing down the narrow "roads, lanes more like, kicking up diesel fumes and dust on all who get in their way. Fine for a 2 or 3 day stay but the mopeds, beggars and tradesmen did begin to grate after 3 "full on" days. Medina is not a location I would recommend to my daughters but in terms of accomodation I would definitely recommend The El Arsa Riad to anyone residing in Medina.

Beautiful riad in a central location, but still extremely quiet and very tastefully decorated. The real Moroccan feel and just a very short walk to all the action Marrakech has to offer. Very kind hosts with a flare for design and they will do anything to help the guests. We did a cooking lesson and it was wonderful. We went to the market, chose the food, went to a spice market, cooked our dinner and were served our creations that evening next to the fireplace. Very romantic and peaceful with also excellent music. I love their selection of music! Our meal was the best meal we had in two weeks in Morocco! Rooftop terrace is lovely for lounging around and very quiet and private, as well. Breakfasts in the sun every morning with an excellent selection of breads, jams, pancakes, and really good coffee. Nothing is too much trouble for Fabrice and Noel and they really care about their guests and their satisfaction and well-being. Noel's English is good and Fabrice speaks French and some English. Their helper, Simone is also great. He took us to a spice market and to the very local market to buy veggies and meat. Noel told us a lot about Moroccan history and he and Fabrice are truly interested in the people and the culture. Oh, if you order dinner here, you won't be disappointed. We had an excellent three course meal served again in the lounge with a fire going and great music. Just us alone. Fabrice's cooking is amazing and he takes great pride not only taste, but presentation. Our room was very cute--we stayed in the Princes room with two beds and a real authentic feel. Love the tadelakt effect in the bath and would like to learn how to do it at home. We had an excellent three nights at El Arsa and would highly recommend it to our friends looking for a city trip. Oh, Noel also gave us advice on driving in Morocco--we hired a car for our trip south across the Atlas and it's also wonderful in the country. Don't be afraid, get out and explore.

Marrakech in general is exciting and interesting. You can walk and walk for hours and never be bored. The only negative is the aggressive motorbikes that clog the small narrow roads and alleyways. They're polluting and dangerous. Additionally, you can only take so much of the souks where, even if interested, you don't ask. Once you ask to see something or even turn your head in its direction, you're a target. There are also lots of people who try to 'guide' you and it's best to shrug them off right away. Get lost, it's part of the fun. Give yourself plenty of time to stop, have some refreshment and watch the scenes unfolding in front of you. We didn't find the places we chose to eat particularly good, but the food at El Arsa was fantastic. Seems that everything is watered down to tourist tastes and the spices that Morocco is famous for, well, aren't used.

Riad Villa El Arsa has got an excellent location, only 5 minute walk from the main square Jemaa el Fnaa. Noel, who is one of the owners, was very helpful and gave us a lot of information for our stay. The riad itself is beautiful and our room La Bahia was lovely with a big bathtub. We would be happy to recommend this riad to all travellers.

Good location close to square. Very friendly and helpful owner. Well maintained by someone who takes pride in his establishment. A good and filling breakfast provided.

Minor quibble- for me bed was a little harder than I like

The owners and staff made you feel very welcome and at home! The place is so beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing! The location is perfect. In a quiet area, but only 5 minutes walk to the square. Highly recommend, as this place is excellent value for money!

The only thing we could fault, were that the beds in our rooms were not too comfortable. Especially one of the beds (mattress), which seemed to need replacing!

Look no further if you want a fabulous place to stay for your time in Marrakech. This city is confusing, dusty, dirty, noisy, and a little nuts and you will need a genuine oasis to return to each day. We spent a week at Villa El Arsa in the Royale room, a huge room by typical standards with high ceilings painted in a colorful traditional Berber motif and a working fireplace! This ryad (or guest house) has four wonderful rooms and has been completely renovated (early 2012) by two super charming French guys, Noel and Fabrice. (English spoken.) While maintaining the authenticity and character of the traditional Morrocan Berber home, they transformed this ryad into a most comfortable, impeccably clean, and lovely place to stay. Modern comforts, elegant traditional Moroccan decor, minutes to everything, peace and calm. You WILL want to have chef Fabrice cook for you there and enjoy eating an elegant three course Moroccan and/or French meal in a special room off the central courtyard by the crackling fireplace, with candlelight, lovely music and privacy. Seriously the best food we ate the entire week there. And sooooo reasonably priced compared to other good places nearby. Breakfasts (fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, pastries, jams, butter, coffee, tea) are lovely in the roof garden. You are two minutes walk to the main square (Djemma el Fna) and entrances to the souks. They give you your own Moroccan cell phone if you get in trouble or lost and need to call them. Great wifi, solid firm (really firm) beds with lots of pillows, lovely bathrooms, slippers, flowers and a host of little touches that make you feel so welcome. If you travel there in warm weather, the cooling plunge pool off the courtyard would be a welcome relief. We were there in February and we noticed room air conditioners but we used the room space heaters in the evenings only cause it only got chilly then and in minutes we were totally comfy.

This cosy guesthouse is situated in a riad that has been authentically restored with love and a good eye to detail. It has a superb location for exploring the medina, the souks and the main square (Jeema-el-Fna) of Marrakech as it is smack in the middle of it all. Yet at the same time, you'll be thankfull for the totally quiet and peaceful neighbourhood which is perfect as you'll want to relax after a long and exciting day 'out there'. Not to mention the little pool in the patio where you can take a refreshing dip or the beautiful terrasse where breakfast is served too. Thanks to the hearfelt hospitality and good humour of the owners and staff, we felt very welcome and at home from the first moment. We even got an introduction tour through the souks and plenty of excellent shopping and restaurant recommendations although it's definitely worthwile having home-cooked dinner at least one evening at the Villa El Arsa. Merci bien Noel & Fabrice!

The location was excellent and very convenient in the middle of the medina and was just a few winding streets from the main square. The Riad is very clean, stylish and well looked after by the owners and staff. It is an oasis of peace and tranquility in the middle of the bustling old town. I was staying at the Riad with my partner and friend for 5 nights in September 2012 and we shared a 3 bedroom room which was extremely comfortable. Noel, one of the owners, was always on hand to offer advice, dining and travel tips which was extremely helpful as it was our first time in Marrakech. He also invited us out with his partner and friend on a day trip to an authentic market town and out to the Atlas mountains for a great walk and lunch. I highly recommend the place for people looking for a peaceful, helpful and conveniently located stay.

La gentilezza e la disponibilità di Fabrice e Noel, I proprietari, e di Simo, il loro impagabile collaboratore. La stanza Royale è molto bella e spaziosa, I dettaglki sono curati ed il riad ha una comoda terrazza e degli accoglienti spazi comuni. La colazione è abbastanza varia, nel pomeriggio vengono offerti the alla menta e biscottini in camera. Abbiamo cenato li una sera, ottimo!

Prachtig gerestaureerde en rustig gelegen riad in het midden van de medina. Onmiddellijk een 'thuisgevoel' dank zij de super vriendelijke eigenaars Noël en Fabrice. Ze staan altijd klaar met nuttige tips en helpen bij het boeken van uitstapjes. Kamer heel netjes en prachtig, autentiek aangekleed. Het diner, klaargemaakt door Fabrice (vroeger chef kok in Frankrijk) en geserveerd bij kaarslicht!! Was eveneens schitterend. 7 dagen volop genoten!

Sehr nettes riad mit sehr hilfsbereiten besitzern. Sehr gutes preis-leistungsverhaeltnis. Die lage ist sehr entspannend in einer ruhigen seitenstrasse der medina. Die besitzer holen einen,wenn man anruft, am naechstgelegenen ausgang der medina ab.

Das fruehstueck ist etwas franzoesisch mager.

Prima ontvangst. De aangeboden transferservice is een aanrader - zoniet moeilijk te vinden. Rustige ligging, pal in het centrum van Marrakech. De accomodatie is top, zo ook de behulpzaamheid van de uitbaters. Top- adres met goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Otroligt bra beläget mitt i Medinan men mycket lugnt. Ägarna/personalen härliga, varma hjärtliga människor som fick oss att känna oss "som Hemma" direkt också tillsammans med övriga gäster. Fantastisk atmosfär i huset och rummen. Mycket bra frukost som vi åt på takterrassen. Möjlighet till förstklassig övrig mat/middag. Ett ställe vi utan vidare kan rekommendera och återvända till.
