Good location near beach, nice food.
Construction going on next door - this may obscure sea view when finished.
Staff were lovely and helpful. Loved the swimming pool. It was a reasonable price
My bed was super hard. I woke up with neckache
Xavier and family were really helpful, arranging trips out, horse riding, and surf lessons. The food was great and good value. I left some jewellery in our room and was called immediately to arrange safe return. Wonderful service, we will definitely be back!
The wifi isn't great in rooms
Great location, super friendly staff, felt like a home away from home. Will definitely stay again!
The owners and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The riad is lovely and clean, smells great and made us feel very comfortable. I wish our flight back home had been later in the day so we could have stayed one more night instead of going back to Marrakech for a night. The walk along the beach to the Medina is great too. I'd love to go there again when the temperatures are higher so I could enjoy the beautiful pool!
The restaurant was fab. Heater in the room was a thougtful touch at yhis time of year and very appreciated. The owner and his wife make you very welcome and the staff in bar and restaurant go out of their way.
You will get what you have expected for a budgetable, comfortable, guest oriented, home alike accomodation. During our stay we came across to so many gestures that we felt as if we were in our friend's house. I haven't been accompanied to a dining room with greetings even in 5* hotels in every occasion. I hope this may give you the idea of fine management that they offer to their customers/guests (usually they call it as "our families"). From top to bottom to all the stuff we are sending our best wishes and thanks for the invaluable attitude to ourselves during our stay. Don't miss it, do consider to reserve for a stay if you are planing to visit Essasouria/Morocco.
Great place, beautiful view and excellent service. Owners are great welcoming guests. Speak all languages and make all the efforts for your stay to be as much pleasant as possible. Good restaurant with a very nice bar! Excellent breakfast! A must, specially for people wanting to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Essaouira.
Could not fault the place. Spent a week over christmas in the Riad. Staff were very welcoming, room was lovely, atmosphere very relaxed and friendly & the food was really tasty. Would highly recommend.
Unfortunately there were building works going on next door. It didn't really disturb us but was noticeable during the day (obviously this is not the Riad's fault & they had forewarned us)
Friendly and helpful staff. Well priced in a good location for the beach. Bit of a walk into the medina but it is a pleasant stroll along the waterfront. Nice food available in the on site restaurant at a reasonable price.
Breakfast was plentiful although a little plain compared to some of the more interesting things we had elsewhere.
We had a marvelous visit.
Beautiful Riad, very helpful hosts, one block from the beach!
We had an excellent stay here, staff and owner are so welcoming and friendly! Lovely breakfast and great pool area! 20 min walk into town along beautiful beach! We definitely plan on coming back!
Curtains are a little thin so street lighting did shine into the bedroom!
Great location and with a brilliant pool (although its by the sea, the pool was definitely where to sunbath during our visit due to the wind). Staff were massively helpful, and rooms really nice. Some people may find the 20 minute walk into the Medina a slight drag, but you walk along the new boardwalk - and get some cracking sunsets.
We really liked this town and Riad Zahra. All the staff was great and helpful, the room was nice and clean. There was good wifi in the big entrance room, and really good food in the restaurang. The only thing i can think about that could be better is a bit warmer pool =)
Close to the beach. Beautifull place
the riad is beautiful and has a really Nice atmosphere. The owners and their son (who runs the very good restaurant up stairs) are so sweet & helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and it felt like coming home after a day at the medina, or we would choose to just relax at the great pool. All staff is great, so is the food and their hospitality. We would definitely come back! It's a 15 min boulevard walk to the medina, or a 3 min taxi drive, so perfectly situated.
We stayed at 2 different rooms and from one we think the matras needs replacement. The wifi signal was not very strong outside the lobby, but strong enough for checking mail & apps.
The family running these apartments along with the staff were all amaxing. They went out of their way to be helpful. We are in the two restaurants ( yes they have two restaurants!) and the food was delicious. Would liked to have stayed longer but it was fully booked. Thanks for a lovely stay
Very friendly and welcoming staff. It feels more like at home than a hotel.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Riad Zahra. We had booked the suite (Room 35) which in my opinion was the best of all rooms available. We enjoyed sunsets from the bedroom and had magnificent views over the beach which was a couple of minutes walk away. - The owners were always very helpful as were the staff. - The pool was clean and well maintained. - The breakfasts and food was good in general. - The Riad is well located, away from the hustle and bustle of the souks, but a few minutes ride by petit taxi or 20 min stroll along the beach.
Quality of the food in the grill restaurant, cleanliness, nice sized bathroom, pool area and sensible priced alcohol. The family are super friendly and very welcoming.
Locks didn't work on window (room 13!), bed and pillows a little lumpy. This affected my sleep which was a shame and I have to sleep well on my few holidays. We moved to another hotel and the owner was very understanding.
Best bits? The friendly owners & super staff! Xavier, his wife and son went out of their way, along with their staff, to ensure we had a great time. Both restaurants (Moroccan downstairs and fresh local seafood upstairs) were spectacular. they also have things like pasta, sandwiches and omelettes for the less adventurous! The tapas and beer hour in the afternoon was fabulous! The view is just spectacular from the rooms and restaurant upstairs. I've never seen such gorgeous sunsets over the bay! It's only about 2 minutes walk to the sandy beach so take the time to go down in your bare feet and watch the sun go down.. There were always plenty of sunbeds next to the nice clean pool. A highlight for me was the three turtles in the pool! I loved them! The location is great, quiet but was to find and close to the beach. Everything was spotless. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It's only 25minutes walk along the most beautiful beach to the main centre, medina and port. Ask Xavier to book a taxi to the airport. Not only did it arrive on time but he negotiated a discount for us too! The taxi driver even stopped on the 20 minute journey so we could take pictures of the goats climbing the Argan trees! Amazing!
The wifi could be slightly temperamental - but you shouldn't be online when there so much else to do here!
The riad was just a block from the ocean. The owner and staff were there, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The breakfasts were included and were the best we had in two months of traveling western Europe. The medina, bus station, and market were all in pleasant walking distance. Room was comfortable and didn't feel too"hotelly".
Slight musty smell in the bedroom.
The staff were welcoming and very helpful and made you feel relaxed. The food in both restaurants was delicious, especially in the upstairs grill. Good selection of wines and very reasonably priced. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sun loungers. The rooms were cleaned daily and the shower was very powerful with hot water. The location is great if you don't mind a bit of a walk to the medina (approx 20 mins), but it is lovely and peaceful and after Marrakech it was quite nice to be away from it all!
location very good, not in the medina but not far (15 mins) and 2 mins walk from sea. Xavier and his wife are very nice and helpful. pool in the garden is just perfect with turtles :)
wifi was not working always properly. breakfast could have been more Moroccan.
