The delicious free breakfasts served at your leisure. Fabulous location, beautiful facilities.
I wish the pool was warm enough to swim in. (I did stay in December though).
We loved the Riad and all its grand antique furniture, the beautiful terrace bathed in sunshine where our December breakfasts were served, the peacefulness of the location right in the middle of the medina. The staff attended to our every whim, the breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, and even the heaters were turned on for us in our bedrooms before we returned from a full day excursion (the evenings are a little chilly in December). All in all we could not fault the Riad, the value for money, the tastefulness of the interiors, and the kindness of the staff, who worked incredibly hard with perfection applied to everything they did. We paid the staff to cook for us one night and it was truly delicious food, a three course meal for 15Euros a head. The owner of the Riad is also easy to contact by email for any issues after your stay (we left something there and he is sorting it out for us).
We did not realise that Booking.com did not charge the room to our debit card, so there was a bit of a scramble to get enough cash out of local cash machines (few and far between) on the last day. This is a cash only economy. The only other criticism is that the beds were a bit too hard, but that is a matter of taste.
A piece of paradise in the messy and confused Medina. Location is excellent, just close to the souks and gorgeous nument. The staff is friendly, helpfully, and efficient. Riad Zineb is a gem amongst the hussle and bussle of Marrakech. We would definitely stay here again
The Riad is very impressive, beautiful and nicely decorated. It's like an oasis of calm. Inside the chaotic old town of Marrakech, room is perfect with excellent bed and nice decor. Service is very kind and breakfast excellent, served on a fabulous terrace. I definitively want to come back soon !
Riad Zineb was nestled amongst the maze like streets of the Medina, just 15 minute walk from the main square! Going through the front door into the courtyard was like entering a haven. It was peacefull and beautiful and so still. We loved our room, it was huge. Due to the layout of Riads, we had an entire length of one side of the building to ourselves! All the rooms were large. Home cooked breakfast with freshly squeezed orange every morning, served by our lovely hostess Khadija. We would recommend this Riad to anyone looking for a cultural experience of staying in a traditional Moroccan Riad, deep in the heart of the hustle and bustle! It was great value for money, as it was just so luxurious for what we paid!
10-15 minutes from the main square, lovely Riad that is very quiet, even though it is in the middle of the Medina. The staff were extremely hospitable during our stay--we couldn't have asked for better or more friendly service. There is a lovely little dipping pool and even a resident turtle who has been on the grounds for over 30 years. Highly recommend Riad Zineb as a little oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
Nice Riad, pretty beautiful. The housekeeping lady was very nice. As the breakfast only included croissants, some bread and 2 different kind of jams, we asked for eggs and fruits. The next day we got it. The man, who also worked in that riad was very helpful, attentive and delicate. He helped us whenever he noticed that we eventually needed his help.
My friend and I (2 ladies) came to Marrakech for 3 days. Marrakech is pretty dangerous for 2 girls! The Riad Zineb is located in a horrible, dangerous area! I've read many recommendations to stay in a riad in Medina, that's why we chose that Riad. But Medina is a slum, there are no other words which can describe it precisely! The taxi can't bring you directly to the door of the Riad because the "streets" or gangways are so tight. It's very dangerous to return back to the Riad at night! On the way back we were robbed! I only can recommend (especially for women) to chose a Riad or hotel where the taxi can bring you to the door. And in total, I recommend to all women not to travel to Marrakech without a male company.
Very spacious, sparkling clean, very comfortable. Staff were wonderful.
The riad is not particularly close to any restaurants or places to eat. Its location requires a bit of walking to reach interesting sites. For a woman, the riad is a little isolated so one is less comfortable walking back in the evening.
Lovely Riad, clean comfortable and in a fairly good location. reasonable breakfast very helpful housekeeper
Breakfast could be a little more substantial in regards to choice, eg fresh fruit, eggs. It would have been preferable to have one bed linen change over 5 days. Unfortunately the owner was away due to family illness so the housekeeper had a pretty stressful time trying to manage the Riad and whilst very kind and helpful it was very difficult to communicate and get information as she spoke very little English
Pool not heated.
This is a truly beautiful Riad - an oasis in the heart of the Medina. The staff are wonderful and both our rooms and the common areas were immaculate. The breakfast was excellent - yoghurt, juice, pastries, bread and jams with coffee or tea.
We were a little cold though that is to be expected travelling in the winter. Take a lot of extra layers - there was a gas fire in the room but if you're used to central heating then it does feel chilly. Also the location does mean that the walk back to the Riad always involves tackling the Souks which can be tiring.
Nice terrace Staff very kind
Pool said to be available all year but not heated !! walls in room with humidity no convenient heating
Nice and varied breakfast, good views from rooftop (especially nice at sunset), pleasantly cool due to the large pool in the courtyard, nicely decorated rooms with good beds
While we stayed there the Riad felt a bit like a camping site or a British seaside pension. Other guests were quite noisy, with children shouting and other adults chatting loudly which you could hear all around. Afternoon nap was pretty difficult due to the noise from the other guests (except on the day when all other guests were out for an excursion). The French owners were absent and had left the place to be run by their Moroccan staff, whose English was not that great (best to speak French - or Arabic only with some of them - to make yourself understood). Wifi was patchy at times - at one point I had to help the staff get it working again...
