The Palais D'Hôtes is located in the Medina and has been restored in the Moroccan tradition. It offers comfortable rooms and suites, some of which have a private balcony.

Riad Hala is located in the Batha district of Fez, and offers 6 Moorish style rooms and 2 suites overlooking the Medersa mosque in Morocco.
Score from 58 reviews Very good
With a lovely outdoor swimming pool and tasteful, traditional decor, the Riad Norma is a haven of peace in the middle of the Fes Medina, close to the palace.
Score from 24 reviews Excellent
This Riad hotel is located in the heart of the historic Medina of Fes. It has an outdoor swimming pool and Hammam. The hotel’s restaurant serves traditional Moroccan cuisine.
Score from 80 reviews Good
The staff. The room was perfect. The riad itselfs was beautiful. The location great
They gave me delicious cookies upon arrival.
I specifically asked if Spanish or English was spoken before my trip, I was reassured of this. No one spoke English. Wifi went down (they later told me they hadn't paid the bill) and was unable to use translation softwear with staff to communicate.
Room (sulemania) was small, cold, noisy, dirty and had no WiFi reception in the room. Staff couldn't speak English either.
Interior, breakfast, good staff
Room in 2nd floor
Big room with separated bathroom and WC
For three days of staying NO cleaning at room. As well the room that we lived (on the first room) is very wet with strange smell. Personal is quite importunate, especially the guide, that we asked for - he showed us very surface the city, but also lots of souvenirs shops, that were without doubt in deal with him.
the position is good, near point of interest of Fes.
the staff was not friendly at all. to 'arrival I was "invited" to give 50 DHS / 5 € to a faux guides who accompanied me to the riad for 100m. an unprofessional attitude. also after two days out of three of my stay no one had entered the room to make a bed or just to put the new soap in the bathroom. I asked about this and was told that is part of the policy of the riads in Morocco, which is not true because it works differently in other places and at least the minimum is guaranteed. the price is excessive for what it offers in terms of services in terms of comfort. experience not to be repeated.
Wonderful stay. A plus : the well equipped and COVERED terrace allowing me to have breakfast in July despite the 30 degres. Delicious breakfast, abundant and presented with art. I enjoyed the highly Interesting discussions with Anouar and the patience, smile and helpfulness of Mohammed (temporary replacing Mekki). The room Idrissides (1st floor-twin beds) was quiet, very clean and functional.
Autenthic - Friendly
Our (bath) & room was really to small. Didn't clean the room for 3 days - had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper
Good location, very nice hotel from inside. Staff was friendly and helpful, but some of them were "too sweet". Dinner in hotel was nice and tasty, but in my oppinion for 30 euro per two person was too poor. Breakfast was great. Room was big, and clean, but too dark. To keep opened windows was not a solution as they were direct to terrace. There was nothing like a balcony or so.
With the guide, who was recommended by hotel, I have bought silver bracelet in one of stores he recommended, which after appeared to be a fake. Perhaps hotel is not guilty about that, but still this spoiled my mood about this hotel and Fes as well. Moreover, last day as we were leaving, the hotel offered us a luggage carrying servise, although we didn't order this (we had only to small bags). Ok, we thought it's a nice gesture by hotel and they assured us that it is free of charge - a gift from hotel. However, at the end they asked us to pay for this servise!
Amazing place in the heart of the medina..easy access to shops and restaurants :)
View from the roof, good instruction from Mikkey
Choices for dinner menu were limited. Direction inside the city wall could be better indicated. Decided to take a shower after supper, that was a mistake, no hot water left.
Location was excellent. Literally two minute walk and you're in medina. The riad is still quiet and you can relax well. Staff- unbelievably helpful! They are very hospitable and really look after you. Mekki, Fatima and Anouar all three of them would go to any lengths to help you around. Mekki is a very gent and extremely helpful. He showed me everything on the map and gave a lot of useful advice. Even went out for a meal with me and showed me the medina on my request. Anouar being a qualified guide gave me a nice tour and showed me a lot of places in Fez. Fatima is lovely and very helpful! I feel like I've made three friends in Fez! Breakfast- it was lovely and well presented with a nice Moroccan song played in the background. I also had dinner there one night which was delicious. Riad was clean and it was very good value for money.
The place is gorgeous. An old Moroccan house with all the amenities, in the middle of the Medina.
Not all staff speak English, which could become a problem if you arrive late.
Really nice Riad, with extremely helpful staff, lovely room and excellent breakfast. Mekki (the host) was very well mannered and always available when needed. Would definitely recommend.
Directly at home in this nice and comfy ryad. Especially because of the more then friendly service of Mekki and his nice colleagues! which made our stay very relaxing and memorable!... Next time we visit Fes, we're sure to come back! Cheers A&B.
nothing really, maybe bedmatrasses too firm for western standards... ;-)
