- could smell mould in a room and the lovely but noisy birds woke me up early in the morning.
- room size, breakfast, hospitality, nearby parking, central location
Was given a tiny room with 2 single beds adjacent to a Stinky bathroom.
I arrived here on my first day in Morocco and it was just lovely with the fountain and the birds in the main area. The roof top is great and includes a resident turtle. The room was very nicely decorated. Problem with the toilet was solved immediately. Staff is very helpful and willing to show you around and the breakfast is great.
All was great
Friendly owners who went out of their way to be helpful. The riad was beautifully decorated and a quiet and cool oasis in the medina. The rooftop terrace was a great spot for an afternoon drink while watching the sun set.
The very friendly and helpful owners made me feel very welcome and helped me organise the rest of my trip through Morocco. The room as superb - beautifully decorated and comfortable, and in the morning I was served a delicious traditional breakfast.
Good reception, excellent treatment of staff, comfortable room, good breakfast and good location.
Good position in medina easy to find close to everything nice roof terrace good breakfast rooms excellent
the bed was really hard, but we slept pretty well nevertheless.
extremely helpful and friendly people. and a very nice breakfast in the morning
Tiny breakfast and promised tea and cakes on arrival did not appear. Canaries wake you at 6am but kids liked them :-\
Very comfortable beds and close to souks.
The manager took us on a tour in the medina, which was very kind, as the medina is a labyrinth of small streets. But soon we figured he was taking us to his friends shops. When we didn't want to go to any more shops, he ended the tour and even asked for a tip (a bit unprofessional).
We had a room on the terrace, which was great, the room is good sized, the breakfast was ok and the wifi worked great. The staff was friendly and helpful.
No complaints as all of my needs were met.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, good breakfast to keep you fueled for a day of shopping and exploring the medina. For those concerned with locating the riad, it is a straight shot of the taxi lets you off at Bab Barbaine. From that point you walk straight about 100 meters where you will find signs directing you to the riad.
Just being extra picky: while the breakfast was plentiful (including made to order eggs) I would have liked some fruits or something. All of the sweet jam, nutella, and bread was quite sugary.
This was hands down the best riad I stayed in during my 6 week trip. The staff was exceptionally helpful, going so far as to escort me to a tailor and explain what I needed fixed. Towels were changed and rooms serviced daily. It was in a quiet area of the medina with easy access to the rest of it. WiFi was excellent, working all the way up to the roof terrace. And the riad really is as grand as the photos depict! Plus they have fountains and birds chirping, making a lovely breakfast ambiance. Excellent value for money!
The restaurant they recommend is expensive (for a Moroccan restaurant) but it was very good.
My wife and I stayed here and had a great time! Breakfast was delicious and the owners are very nice. We're learning Arabic and they practiced with us while we were eating. Everything was clean and we had a very relaxing weekend.
there is loads of birds inside the house, from 6/7 am is very loud and not possible to sleep :(
Cleaness, pretty place
The warm and friendliness of the family who owns the place. Their family pet birds who sings beautifully and freely flying around outside our room. The excellent breakfast and the warm room.
Super place. Super people.
The heater did not work and the room became rather cold at night.
Typical Mortician style
The breakfast was great & the owners were lovely. Just be careful not to tread on a turtle. A good little medina.
Dinner in the associated restaurant (owned by the same family) was overpriced and not excellent. The dinner price was 150 dirhams but, by mistake I did not have enough dirham with me and I carried just 14 euros (which is 152 dirhams). I was forced to ask on of the other european guest at the restaurant to lend me an euro.
nice and clean place. good breakfast.
the bed was a tiny bit too hard
atmosphere wifi laundry service breakfast staff terrace
Everything was perfect. Very nice staff, Big rooms with large couch and big bathroom. The Rihad feels a bit like paradise as they have little birds flying around and fountains running...
staff were great- helpful with info and showing us restaurant etc
Everything was great.
A bit difficult to find, although everything in the city is difficult to find...
Good breakfast. Big room and nice staff. There is a great terrace where you can relax if it is not too cold.
Travelling in Dec in Morocco is cold at night. They gave us little portable heaters, but it was still cool. Few (no?) hotels in Morocco in this price level have much in the way of heating, so I wouldn't really hold it against them.
A lovely ryad in a good location, but not near most other hotels in the medina. Very friendly staff and owner. We were in the roof top room with a lovely terrace.
