Located in Fez, the Palais has an outdoor pool with a snack bar and panoramic views of the Jbel Zallagh Hill and the Old Medina. It features a luxury spa center.

In Fès Old Medina, Riad Rcif features traditional Moroccan décor, a hammam and a patio with a fountain. It is just an 8-minute walk from the ancient school, Bou Inania Madrasa.

The atmosphere and the kindness of the staff makes this ryad simply perfect. In the medina's heart is a peaceful place where you really can feel at home.
Smell of water. I think it's problem with Medina itself, and not with hotel. It wasn't that bad anyway, so nothing to worry really. I brushed my teeth in normal water from tap and nothing happened. Some people worry about it, so just saying.
From outside you can't tell what is inside this Ryad. So travelling through narrow and dirty streets is an experience in itself and you start to worry how bad Ryad is going to be. I arrived around 11pm, so it was dark already. And then shock when you see Ryad with very nice luxury and relaxing atmosphere just behind dirty doors when you cross worlds - from medina streets to Salama Ryad. Location is amazing. Car park nearby (paid, but probably 2 EUR per night) is OK. For 10-20 MAD someone can help you find hotel in labirynth of medina and transport your luggage as well. I recommend this service, if you are new into Medina/Marocco as I was on first day. It is about 4 minutes walk. To find a car parking - go via Abu Bakr Ibn Al-Arabi and turn right to just before green hill and then right uphill. Coordinates of car parking is 34.063991, -4.981803. Service in hotel is nice and it's one of the best parts of my positive experience with my stay there. Also food was pretty good - 9/10. A bit expensive, but very nice. I ordered it twice, as it was worth it. Rooms were nice and one of best Ryads I stayed in Marocco.
The Wi-Fi was terrible, but this was not under the control of the riad.
This was a quiet, inviting place with a beautiful setting and Tahir was great with every request. He even tipped our helper because we had no small bills. The first night was cold and rainy, so we ate a great dinner by the fire.
A delightful owner who ensures his guests are well looked after.
The owner told us previously that he would consult us on the time for transport arrangement in the morning on the day we checked out. But he ordered a taxi without consulting us and when we just started our breakfast he basically asked us to get ready and leave in 20 minutes!!!! He even wanted us to sort bills during our breakfast time! This is the most rude experience in hospitality services I ever experienced!!!!!! Wifi was poor.
Breakfast and dinner were very nice, proper hot water, nice room, nice inner garden.
Nothing to dislike
Truly beautiful riad, very peaceful and comfortable, great location in the centre of the medina. Owner Michel and his staff are very accommodating and helpful in every respect. Will be staying there again on our next visit.
we enjoyed the owner and the staff and how well we were taken care of.
Pool is only for cooling off, not big enough for a proper swim... But honestly if that is the worst thing I can think of, they are doing something right.
Quite frankly this Riad was one of the highlights of our trip to Fes. From the beautiful garden courtyard to the peaceful relaxing rooms to the amazing dinners, this was a perfect stay for us. The Fes medina is a wonderful but tiring experience, coming back to Ryad Salama was like coming home, but better still , imagine your home is a little slice of artisan paradise. The staff, the food, the atmosphere all perfect. Thank You for a memorable stay, Michel.
Nothing, except that you'll never find it on your own! so ask the Ryad in advance to arrange a transfer for you on arrival - easily done, they'll probably contact you a couple of days before your arrival. (Once you've been there once it's not really very difficult to find it again!)
A beautiful place to stay. A very attractive open tropical garden with seating and sun-loungers around a central plunge pool and the rooms on the outside. Our room was superb, spacious with themed Moroccan décor and a balcony overlooking the garden - one of the best we've ever stayed in. The food was excellent, particularly dinner but also breakfast. Owner Michel and his staff were always available and very helpful. The location between the two main streets in the heart of Fes's vibrant medina is perfect, though once the main door closes (or opens!) you're in another world!
Beautiful place, very well run. I was ill half the time but still managed to have a great time. Also we were in one of the smaller rooms - balcony rooms look fantastic. Good food and friendly staff. And you can get a decent drink...
An oasis of hospitality and elegance in the Medina.
Fantastic ryad. Beautiful rooms and courtyard. The food is highly recommended.
This a beautiful Riad, fantastically decorated with a stunning garden. The room was very spacious with a lovely seating area and balcony. There is a great choice for breakfast and we stayed for a couple of evening meals which were delicious. Michel also has an excellent wine list to choose from.
Nothing. Not having wifi in our room didn't even matter as it was available in communal areas.
Many thanks to Michel, the owner, for coming to fetch us when we failed to find our own way to the Riad. As our daughter put it, he's a true gentleman. From the moment we entered the riad we fell in love with it - from the trees and ornamental pool in the garden to the tasteful decor throughout the riad. As for the food, delicious is the only word to use. Thanks also to the staff who looked after us so well. Fes medina is not for the faint-hearted but is a fantastic experience. In our opinion, forget Marrakech and head to Fes as there is so much more to see. What's more, the Fassi shopkeepers are polite and don't harrass you.
The room was very comfortable - lots of space, great shower. We even had a sitting area and balcony. The inner garden is a oasis of rest and beauty in a dusty Fez. It's relatively easy to find from one of the main souk streets. Michel, the owner, was very helpful, and not too pushy, just right. Transport from the airport was arranged by him and was hassle free, which is great when you just arrive in a country you do not know well. The other staff was also very friendly and helpful, providing little touches such as making tea from herbs in the garden that we had commented on etc. Evening meals delicious, with option of a 'light' version consisting of soup and warm salads - very tasty. The best food in our two week stay in the country.
Price and the beds! Beds were very hard
a quiet oasis in the heart of Fes. Great and helpful staff
It is hidden deep in the medina and I doubt I could have found it without assistance. By the third day I was a pro at finding it.
I liked that I had a sunshine filled room and a spacious balcony overlooking the courtyard. This is something you rarely find in a riad. I also enjoyed that it had a sitting area in the room. The riad was very quiet at night which allowed for many hours of peaceful sleep. They serve breakfast until noon - so I slept in daily. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed tasting many moroccan dishes every night.
An intimate but professionally run read with all the comforts one would expect from a much larger hotel.
