Excellent staff and superb location, a must try Riad!
Slightly below average standards with regards to cleanliness but nothing extreme!
Located really close to the main square, it was very convenient for our large group of tired travellers who didn't want to traipse far from our rooms to the square. But it was also very peaceful as it was removed from the square. The rooms themselves were nice and clean and had plenty of blankets as the nights were cold when we visited. The view from the roof is beautiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful and even celebrated New Years with us in the courtyard :) They also helped arrange transport for our long journey the next day and showed us a nice spot for breakfast. Highly recommended.
I have nothing bad to say about our stay in Hotel Salsabil!
This well priced hotel was in an ideal location between the square and mosque. It is situated between two parts of a five star hotel so you have the advantage of a very quiet entrance with security guard from the five star hotel at the end of it. It feels exclusive without paying the exclusive prices. At the hotel reception Mohammed was a great help and I would suggest that, if you stay there, then you follow his advice or take him up on any offers of assistance. He was fantastic.
loved the view of the Koutoubia from the roof
Sheets too small for the bed
You will struggle to find another Riad in a better location. It was very easy to find, 3 minuets walk from the bus stop, and 2 minuets walk for the square. It has a very relaxed atmosphere (you would never know all the hustle and bustle of the square was just a stones throw away. The staff are very helpful, and it has a very traditional look and feel about it. The posh Hotel next door serves the most delicious cocktails, which are perfect after a busy day haggling in the souk!
I would struggle to find something I did not like. It was excellent value for money and I will be returning, I have no problem in recommending to singles, couples (quite romantic setting), and families.
- Location - Calm - Within walking distance to Jaema El Fna plaza
- Around 2am severe water leak from the air conditionner so that the bed underneath where I was sleeping got heavily wet by the sudden "rain." - Lighting in the room is poor so the room is too dark at night - Bitten by mosquitos in the room
What we liked best about this place, was it's location. It's on a quiet secondary street, right next to Jemaa el fna. The room was clean and nicely renovated, like the entire building. The reception guy was helpful, and gave us fair hints about Morocco prices. Accommodations in Marrakesh are more expensive than other destinations, since is more touristic, and we choose to pay a little bit more, but it was worth it.
We got a room next to the terrace, were people were having breakfast in the morning. Earplugs saved the situation, so this is just a hint.
location and cleanliness
not sure really
position and price can't be beaten! Incredibly helpful staff too.
Good situation, very helpful staff before and during booking process and our stay. Able to leave luggage there whilst travelled elsewhere.
