Staff we're very helpful and always willing to help, great atmosphere from the time you checked in with the welcoming Moroccan tea and macaroons
The hotel is beginning to feel tired and lost.. Service was not up to standard for the price.. Need to sort it self out in a big way..
Great location if you are not staying in a Riad
fairly generic hotel, although the garden and pool area are wonderful, we prefer a riad
The impressive architecture of the buildings. The gardens, fountain, and pools The restaurants. The Concierge who helped arrange guided tours.
Without any doubt, the breakfast deserves a 6-star rating. Just fantastic!! Also, the swimming pool and garden are very large and South oriented. The personnel is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms start to get first signs of getting old-fashioned. Heating issues (no warm water at 8.30 am, and the swimming pool was not heated, only about 25c when we were there at the end of October which is pretty chilly to swim).
The lobby is lovely. Beautiful pools and the gym is okay.
The prices of food and drink. Are they having a laugh? At breakfast you either pay €25 for a huge buffet or you go hungry, you cannot just have a coffee and a pastry. The evening options are all very expensive and totally out of comparison with the costs of running a property here (frankly I've paid less in top hotels in Central London).
Charming staff with great sense of humor, welcoming hospitality and excellent services. Very nice facilities and hotel cleanliness
We were extremely happy with the staff. Special thanks to Fatima, Husham, Rashida and Abdulrahim and Azly from the Le Jardin restaurant who were very kind and the quality of service was superb. All the rest of the staff were also very friendly and ready to help. Food was excellent in all restaurants. Rooms are large and quite comfortable though a bit worn. All in all, Sofitel is one of few places where you can feel good in Marrakech (to our taste of course). Just opposite the hotel there is a hop-on-hop-off bus stop - very convenient if you want to see a bit more of the city.
Nothing in the hotel. Free but low speed WiFi (same applies to wired Internet though), so do not expect much.
Didn't like the fact you couldn't get a deal to include breakfast or half board.
Excellent location. Marvelous building. Fantastic traditional rooms with moorish designs.
Slow check in and check out. Weak Wi Fi.
Restaurant, swim pool, the space of the hotel.
Dirty pond in the garden which not look after as where we were,
Highly good staff
The pool and staff were very welcoming. The rooms were cozy.
Considering it was low season, the prices were quite high and the restaurants and bar. While at the pool, the search for towels and drinks was always a challenge : the service was slow and you could never get more towels then offered. They shouldn't charge for the extra bed, regarding the age of the child.
Beautiful hotel. Some excellent personnel: Younes,(plumber) Ahmed?? (Maintenance) Youssef at front door,Wiam (restaurant), Hicham(?) Concierge.
5Sstars Price and facilities but 1-2 stars service Overcrowded and under served.Often Impossible to call operator and/or front desk, wake-up calls did not happen. Atm ran out of bills. Lousy service but Top Dollar prices poor value for price, buyer beware!!
The comfort, the cleaness. the view from my room was beautifull.
The price is way over exagurated.
Rooms need upgrade
Friendly staff, and clean room with nice view if you are facing the swimming pool. 15 minutes walk to Jama Alfana area. Free car parking.
long walking from the room to the reception area.
quality of service luxury and comfort of the room location
Smoking is allowed in lobby and common areas No prices for extra services written anywhere and thus no transparency in what you are getting charged (makes you quickly become very suspicious given you are in Morocco)
location and ambience
Locaton of hotel.
A little on expensive side for the value of service you get..
