The Naoura Barrière is spread over a beautiful garden landscape, centrally located in Marrakesh near the heart of the medina (historic quarter). It offers a peaceful setting and luxury facilities.

We loved everything about this hotel, staff were amazing! The hotel was stunning. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Marrakech. It had everything we could possibly need, and the staff couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was good
stinky carpet no guest allowed full service for non-arab clients
Good location and decent facilities. When engaged on the problems senior management receptive and attentive but ultimately unable to fix a poor experience despite some 'modest' efforts.
Oh dear, where to start. I'll be specific with multiple examples of poor service unexpected for a Sofitel that really ruined our stay. The smaller boutique riads offer better value/service. Given the multiple issues experienced by myself and friends - am surprised at this score. 1) Upon arrival despite booking and checking-in (!!) the newer lounge and spa we were moved through the building into the older Imperial WITHOUT our consent. The hotels adjoin each other so we didn't realise we had been moved until next day our friends described their rooms. Having unpacked and settled we chose not to move but were unhappy. 2) Despite confirming bookings for spa they did not have our appts - only after complaining did they then accommodate our original timings. 3) Despite email explicitly asking for a ladies hair appt (wash/dry/pin-up) for my partner (we had a wedding to attend) the hairdresser didn't know how to pin-up hair!! They found another hairdresser who then proceeded to do a poor job (pins fell out on way back to room). Despite listing a hairdresser on the website the hotel is clearly unable to offer a quality full service. 4) When requesting shirt pressing was told someone is coming, 20m later.. called again.. they said coming, nothing. 15m later I left the room. When eventually next day shirt was picked up was meant to be ready by 2pm shirt only returned when chased at 4pm... seriously? Am i meant to be chasing staff. There is a general 'lack-of-responsibility' culture and poor communication with the staff. Upon problems occurring no one takes responsibility or tries to fix. Only when pressured or complaining, or with escalation do things get fixed. Poor communication is also to blame.. if there is a delay/problem - then why?
Outdoor area and pool although pool was very good
Hotel rundown Not very clean rooms Bad food
The pool and public areas were lovely.
Horrifically overpriced restaurants and scruffy rooms. Lots of dark corridors on the Palace side of the hotel.
Night club fab and staff very attentive
Check in too slow
so-lounge excellent place to spend evenings. the food there was good, the staff were great. Wine list not fantastic
wine on offer
every things it is amazing hotel including staff, location and i hope you including breakfast with you package next time and many thinks to be kind with us during our stay. thanks & Regards
as i told you if include the breakfast to you packages .
spacious room. Given the cost of the room, the additional 25 euro per person charge for breakfast was excessive.
Based on the staff recommendation we took two private tours. The tour guides were more interested in taking us to shops where we were pressured into making a purchase than they telling us about what we were seeing.
Location was the only good thing
Rooms had bad smell. Staff not cooperative! Interiors were horrible.
The Sifitel has two huge outdoor pool with hundred large sofas as well as a nice gym. If you want t relax at the pool and do some sport, then the Sofitel is the best choice
1. The responsiveness and courtesy of the staff at the reception as well as at the pool bar was really poor. 2. Although 50% of the pool sofas are not used, they are covered by large red towels and are "occupied". The French guests seem to have the funny habit to come in the early morning and put the towels on the sofas and let them stay idle for 80% of the day. This is certainly not user-friendly for those guests looking for a sofa during lunchtime of in the afternoon.
the hotel does not have the quality of a 5 star hotel nor the accomodations. The staff is not well trained at all.
the swimming pools
location was average, building work going on so quiet loud. just not as good. checking into hotel was time consuming, staff did not appear to be as efficient as most hotels around the world.
Pool. Breakfast. Smell of the lobby.. Amazing.
Work in progress. Cost to entrance the hamam.
Everything - It was rubbish but nicely wrapped given the aesthetics of the hotel but utter rubbish - phone's didn't work. staff was inconsiderate and condescending at times. we actually opted for an early check out just to get out of the hotel
Food was great!
Prices for food and drink seemed like they were shamelessly gouging a captive audience...
Gym is very nice
extra charge of 25 euro to use sauna / hamam which is unheard of staff was not always as friendly as I would have expected Facilities in general not up to the usual sofitel standard.
Beautiful suite, very comfortable. Perfect location for Marrakesh. Breakfast superb
We ordered a car to pick us up from the airport and this did not turn up. We should have been informed of the building work, it was right under our suite and next to the pool and bar- very noisy. On the third day our suite was not serviced properly- no towels, coffee, toilet roll. This was not dealt with quickly.
lovely, clean, very kind staff
the pool restaurant's menu was a bit restricted especially for the price.
It was a great experience especially during the breakfast, we enjoyed the great quality of food and best service ever we had, I can remember the good staff like Mustapha, Haj Aziz, Chahira, karima, Magid and the Fatima
Thé bled réal l'y confortable
Thé bathroom n'étends tout be relocked
live place and good location
the staff do not respond immediately to your orders, it takes 45 minutes to get an order or a request done
You have to call them many many times to get response????
Located centrally and close to the market, tourist attractions and night life (bars, restaurants and discos); bed comfortable, staff friendly and helpful; hotel restaurant good but expensive! Very good disco in the hotel till 04h
Did not match a 5-star standard. Great impression on arrival, but disappointment once entering the room. Rooms on 4th and 2nd floor were not really clean - room carpet dirty, sofa outside had dirty stains, hotel renovations meant noise, walls not soundproof. We had just moved to Sofitel from a 4-star hotel costing €80 less to be closer to town, the service and facilities of Sofitel were relatively a disappointment. I would not go back there unless a major improvement in facilities is carried out.
