Location was great. Quiet at night. Super comfy beds. 10 mins walk into town for lots of restaurants. But if we didn't want to, then a good fish resturant over the road. Cafe over the road overlooking beach, for breakfast (coffee, oj, croissant) for 2 people around 6 euros. Hotel price 18 euros each. (Ok, so you get the works but will you eat it all???) Indoor heated spa pool only available after 7pm if you are hotel guest and not using the spa for paying treatments. Very much a hotel v spa set up. No towels given if you are a hotel guest. We booked to use the hamam before 7pm and had a treatment, but were still expected to bring own shampoo and shower gel, or alternatively use the shower in my room.! Not good enough at these prices.

Great hotel, we had sea view upgrade as we are accor club members and the hotel was quiet. Lovely room, swimming pool and spa. Loved the hammam. Great value for money for a 5 star property in a terrific location. Outdoor pool was not warm enough to swim in, but a lovely pool area to relax in. The pool in the spa facility was available free from 7.30 pm til 10.30pm. It would have been nice to use the facility in the day as the outside pool was not warm. The spa pool being salt water was great - would have liked more of it.

Great hotel, great welcoming, helpfull staff at every moment of the day. Also the restaurant is a great place. They really do their work well and the price is very reasonable for this comfort! Essaouira is a small place, so location is just a few minutes from the medina and the harbor. In front of the sea and the boulevard.

Perfectly located right by the beach and only a 5 minute walk from the port and the medina. Probably one of the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. Everywhere smelled very nice and clean. The beach restaurant is lovely and great food. Pool was a little cold but didn't stop us going in. Breakfast is extremely overpriced but you can take a short walk to the medina and pay a fraction of the cost.

We loved the location and our sea view room with a balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel has wonderful facilities with no pressure on access. The staff were very helpful and our room was certainly 5 star quality. We felt the restaurants were uniformly expensive which was unfortunate. As we would have liked to eaten there. However there is a good selection of alternative restaurants nearby.

Well positioned hotel close to the beach and the medina. The hotel staff were polite and efficient. Our room facing the pool was clean and spacious and with a very big extremely comfortable bed! The hotel is a little tired in places but overall it is fine and perfect for a long weekend. We didn't breakfast at the hotel as the price was way over the top. Lots of birds nest on the trees overlooking the pool at night which wasn't great for me as I have a bird phobia but apart from that, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and would return.

Loved it! Perfect location. We had been in Morocco for a few days when we arrived at the Sofitel and it was so nice to have some familiar comforts. Definitley a five star experiance for a great price. This hotel has many little extras that put our stay over the top. Loved the treats laid out in our room and the tea upon arrival. A++

Excellent hotel, offering what one would expect from a hotel of the Sofitel chain. Great, spacious and clean room. Relaxing pool area. Nice spa. Good restaurant opposite the hotel at the beach. Very good service. Everything just excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

The junior suite was perfect about dimension and facilities. The room has definitely everything that you need to improve the quality of your stay in Essaouira. Complimentary water, espresso machine, fresh fruits, pastry and rose petals for a romantic holiday. The hotel is just in front of the beach and the medina is less than ten minutes walk. Unfortunately the real problem with this hotel is the staff. First of all if you don't speak french will be difficult to comunicate with all the staff. The receptionist is absolutely unprofessional and even if she spoke english and she knew that we didn't know a word in french she was always speaking to us in french and she was always avoiding to help us for any request. But she was an isolated case and of course you can still go to this hotel even if you don't speak french, but keep in mind that it'll not be so easy to comunicate as you would expect.

A beautiful, tranquil place, with excellent facilities & a welcoming feel. We really appreciated the real care and attention, particularly by the domestic staff who made up our rooms so beautifully each day. Thank you cost of breakfasts, meals etc. It was so expensive, we ate out every single day.

Very nice bedroom with large sunny balcony and excellent helplful staff Was disappointed that warm indoor piscine was out of bounds for guests and all day up to until 19.30 hrs. It would surely be possible to give access in early morning (say till 9am) and from say 1800 hrs at night. Outdoor pool in winter too cold and sunless to be of use. Also was very shocked at cost of breakfast which I had assumed was included in charge for room when I booked. It made this hotel very expensive compared with others of same class where I have stayed.
