large private terrace with the suite
no wifi in the suite poor shower
Nice location, top service and very nice and caring hosts.
THE private terasse, THE beautifull view, THE swimmingpool!
was a very nice location, very nice view, could see the whole mountainous areas. location-wise was very easy to find. Very nice staff, breakfast was very nice ad delicious.
there was no water in the morning, at all. we had to get from a nearby stream to get water.
Location and spaciousness of suite.
Hard bed. Poor lighting. Erratic power is quite beyond their control.
What a fantastic view over the mountains and the river below ! Nice and flexible staff. The rooms are very good , everything clean and excellent beds. Quiet and peaceful but not far away from activities. Breakfast and food are very good. I do recommend this friendly hotel just by the river.
Location, terrace direct view to the river
The fact they don't accept credit card ! Breakfast could have been made authentic Moroccan..
location was lovely on the river. comfortable beds. good breakfast. congenial host.
nothing to complain about
Golden Orioles in the garden! Very close to Oukaimeden. Very attentive staff, good breakfast and evening meal.
Bed was solid, far too hard for us.
Friendly staff, good position for exploring Ourika Valley. We were birding and a good breakfast on the terrace was accompanied by Levaillant's Woodpecker in nearby trees and Dipper on the river. Excellent start to our Morocco trip.
Initial room was a little small but upgraded to upstairs room with terrace which was excellent.
Offered the rooftop suite as a free upgrade.
You pay in Moroccan Dirhams, cash only, and there were some math problems between the quoted price (in Euros), and the final bill (in Dirhams). Had to use a currency converter on my phone to show him he was off by about 30%. Nice place but double check the bill!
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We arrived late from the airport but they welcomed us and gave us free evening snacks on the roof terrace outside our room which was lovely. Great breakfaster by the river
They didn't take credit cards despite it saying so on booking.com
The location is excellent and ideal for a few days of relaxation. The staff are very friendly and well mannered, they are even ready to go beyond their duties to help you out with any problems you might have, the owner of the hotel helped me change a flat tire that was about to explode, (thing I could never do by myself). The area around the swimming pool and the whole garden is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff also made sure that the room stays clean all the time and bed linen changed every day. The food was excellent and quickly prepared, the Berber Moroccan Tajine is so delicious and so are all the other dishes. The garden in front of the river is so beautiful and well maintained; you could sit there for hours without being bored. Breakfast is served with a variety of Berber foods and olive oil in addition to the big pots of tea and coffee. I personally would go back every time I have a chance.
The bread would have been much tastier if it was homemade, especially for the breakfast. I personally enjoy breakfast and I like fresh bread and Moroccan pancakes. I would also appreciate freshly brewed coffee instead of Nescafe sachets and freshly squeezed orange juice.
We had the big suite on the top of the hotel with 30-40 m2 terrace, so I imagine your experience is somehow different if you book one of the smaller rooms: We liked (in addition to the already rated elements): - being close to the river - nice and children safe swimming pool - the big terrace - the big room nicely decorated and very comfortable for 4 people, with its separation - the friendliness and service-orientation of the owners couple - the care to the details and the beautiful terrace and garden overlooking the river - the friendliness and professionality of the service in the restaurant - very good price-value
Not much actually.. - maybe the rare options for vegetariens, but it's not specific to Top Ourika - breakfast starting at 9, but the owners made it possible for us to have it at 8 - lack of air condition (should be installed soon) but even though we slept very well thanks to a big ventilator
