Riad Monceau sits in the Medina and is just a 1-minute walk to Jamaa El Fna Square and a 3-minute walk to the souks.

In the heart of the medina (historic quarter), this 19th-century riad features an outdoor swimming pool and hammam treatments.

The staff at this hotel is what makes this place exordinary. I have travelled all over the world and never have I experience such great hospitality. I take my hat off to the General Manager Quentin who make you feel so at home. Whenever I'm in Marrakesh this will be my new home.
Hotel design, Roof top terrace and Hammam, owner passionate about guest experience
Too quiet, some aspects of room design not practical, overall disappointing value for money
Loved the ambience, the peace & quiet Staff always helpful but not intrusive - it was like being in a private home
Villa Makassa was a real gem. From the moment we arrived we felt like we had picked the perfect place. The owner Fred met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the Riad. And what a beutifull place it was. There are 10 rooms in the Riad but most of the time you felt you were the only guests there. Nothing was to much trouble for a the staff. I cant rate this Riad highly enough. Looking forward to my next visit.
Location just within the medina, ideal for walking, catching the red bus for city tours. The staff were very attentive, the rooms very lovely all different, Art Deco which reminded us of Paris. Breakfast was lovely selection of fresh baked crumpets, breads, cakes, jams, and fresh honey yogurt. The owner was very warm and welcoming, and organised all our trips with drivers.
The only down fall was the mattress was very hard.
Excellent staff, beautifully designed Art Deco masterpiece by the owner
Charge for Nespresso capsules provided in the suite
beautiful place, lovely staff, great location. helpful and prompt, trips away were organised impeccably
food service little slow
The hotel is a must for any art deco fan. The attention to detail is incredible. All the staff are friendly & helpful. The Hammam & massage were a wonderful antidote to the chaotic souk. The roof terrace was a lovely spacious place to relax and soak up the sun or star-gaze. The food was delicious. Breakfasts were plentiful. We had read that you can order what you like, however we were happy to eat whatever was served that day. Yogurt, fresh bread/cakes & fruit. Quiet location is also a bonus however this means a good (safe) walk to reach the action in the main square.
Professional and friendly service - all staff went out of their way to help us in any way we needed. Restaurant recommendations were always great, as were tours, taxis, porter service. Breakfast was great too - be prepared to be fed very well!
You need to pre-order your lunch and dinner a few hours before, which means you can't decide at say 6pm that night that you want to eat at the hotel. Rooftop service sometimes a touch slow
Excellent and extremely attentive and courteous service. On site director most efficient and showing friendly professionalism at a high level. Design exceptional. The food served was also excellent throughout our stay (breakfast) and we ate twice at night at the magnificent first level terrace (same as for the breakfast even though the roof top terrace is also available). The spa services that my wife received were also at the same level of quality.
Surprisingly there were no clean towels at the pool when we went! An area better protected from the sun ( at the roof top terrace) would be a welcome improvement. This terrace is very beautiful and large and we would have used it more.
