Riad Dar Zahia is ideally located in the heart of the medina, close to the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square, at the gate of the souks where you will spend hours shopping and wandering around.

Great team of people dedicated to making everything work well. Excellent service, rooms and food.
We would have preferred to be closer to the Souk but the the location was an experience in itself and the quality of everything else more than made up for it.
Extraordinarily friendly staff, very helpful, and the food was better than at any of the many (hand selected!) restaurants that I went to. The room was very pretty, too. One should be aware, though, that it was not particularly quiet: My room had a window to the outside, through which loud shouting could be heard through half the night. Also the water pump - located somewhere over my room, apparently - was very noisy during afternoons and still audible at times at night. I did not mind, but at least this particular room was nothing for someone in need of absolute silence. So if you are, you may want to ask when booking, I am sure that the rooms facing towards the inside of the Riad are quiet. The place is so great otherwise that you should not miss it.
That I had to leave, as my vacation ended.
Nicely designed rooms and friendly staff.
A good 30 minutes walk from the medina.
The staff were wonderful very thoughtful and helpful and the Riad is very clean and pretty and extremely comfortable with a wonderful ambiance ... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay... Breakfast and dinner were excellent... Highly recommend this Riad
Exclusive location which was accessible on foot only.
Hard to find at night
Faisal, Marcus and was it Imane? LOVELY and helpful. We arrived from the sea relaxed and were greeted by Faisal who served us the best meal we had in our two and a half weeks in Morocco. I highly recommend you eat at least one dinner at ZamZam! The room was marvelous, comfortable and luxe. Breakfast delicious and served with care. Overall, you would be hard pressed to have a better experience. Book your stay at the Zam Zam!
There was one young gal, (not Emma) who greeted us now and again and offered suggestions. Her overall manner was perfunctory, and not in keeping with the rest of the wonderful staff.
Extremely well looked after. Very professional, very relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast on the roof was delightful.
The location is a bit hard to find first time (but the Riad will arrange a taxi to collect you, if you want). But once you have been shown the walk back from the Souks, it's easy. It costs more than many other Riads - but it is a cut above the others.
Everything. The staff was wonderful. The quality and furnishings of the place were excellent.
We loved the Riad itself, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and the food was great.
Faisal the evening manager was a true asset. He even came out to meet us late at night when taxi got lost. The owner marcus was also friendly. Overall the reception was warm. The handout with information on the hotel was useful. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
the only disadvantage is one that affects probably all riads in marrakesh. Taxis cant bring you directly to the door. It is a 5 min walk from the drop off point with a few turns and junctions you must take note of.
Extremely great staff and beautiful riad
It was hard to find location and could easily get lost. Hotel personnel need to guide you out to the medina center first.
A very tranquil oasis in the midst of the real Medina, an experience we shall not forget. Nothing was ever too much trouble, Faysul was an exceptionally good host, his welcome was always warm and wide smiled and genuine. Zamzam was beautifully restored in traditional Moroccan style and was very comfortable. When we were back at the riad we spent most of our time on the roof terrace sipping mint tea supplied by Aziz and listening to the call to prayer. If we were to stay in the Medina again we wouldn't hesitate to choose Zamzam.
It wasn't so much that we didn't like it but walking through the Medina, away from most other tourists at first seemed a little intimidating, but once we relaxed and accepted it for what it was we really enjoyed our walk back from the souks and the main square, through the twisty turny alleyways returning to our luxurious oasis. Staying within the Medina is certainly an eye opener into other peoples lives.
