This is one of the best City Hotels I and my wife have stayed in. We both agreed that the attentiveness of the staff and the overall quality of the Hotel was exceptional. It maybe the case that because no-one knows who you are nor what you do for a living they treat everyone with the same degree of respect and attention. After all there is a perception that if you can affors to go to Monaco you can afford to expect a certain level of service. I disagree. I simply believe that the people of Monaco expect better and therfore receive it.

Shuttle service to/from train station, casino, ballet theater, etc. Walking distance from the palace, sea-side restaurants, and local markets. Great view (stayed in 8th floor). Excellent overall service from very courteous staff.

This hotel is very well located and I know it for some years. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and good value. The door lock would not function one evening and that took 40 minutes to be fixed. The safe battery also ran down and again I had to wait 25/30 minutes to access the contents. Internet is poorly managed and I recommend the hotel make a deal with someone like swisscom rather than trying to manage it themselves. It is hard to be a business hotel with slow cumbersome inet access. The kitchen has really suffered since my last stay and the food quality is now 'poor' and better to eat outside.

Generally a pleasant enough hotel with some nice touches, however see below as some things below the standard I would have expected for the price/position/type of hotel. Beautiful position especially with the delightful gardens including the Princess Grace Memorial Rose Garden opposite entrance [well worth a peaceful stroll]. I was lucky enough to have a view of the sea from my room and that side of the building was wonderfully peaceful, however, the slamming of other guests doors was not conducive to a totally peaceful stay - difficult for the management to stop of course but perhaps attention to the automatic door closers would assist? Rooms needed a lick of paint & carpets in hallways appeared threadbare, lovely leather chair on landing left with what appeared to be blood all over it - this was surprising in a hotel of this quality. Breakfast was excellent, but there was almost a queue for the outside tables so one felt obliged to rush and allow others to take ones' table as soon as possible. Arrival was excellent, however, checkout was a little chaotic. Signage round the hotel so discrete as to be very difficult to find one's way about.

Concierge service was excellent Very poor lighting in bedroom and bathroom. Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom and very poor ventilation. The whole decor is looking tired. Breakfast was of a low standard in relation to price and star rating of the hotel. Waiting staff are unattentive and impolite. Check in was inefficient, we booked 5 rooms and although a couple of rooms were ready we were not allowed to occupy them as they were allocated to members of the party arriving later in the day. No other option was given.

The staff were good, but the facilities poor and rather jaded The nonsense with the swimming pool constantly being out of use. In 10 days we were able to use it once, we were then refused umbrella's and no drinks/food service was available. Hardly the mark of a quality hotel

Staff were poor and a lack of good service was apparent... They was going to over charge for the room but I had the booking com invoice so they could not and another unpleasant thing, we were on our honeymoon and there was no effort made for us in anyway, unlike like the other hotels we stayed at in fact when we walk to the reception they were busy making obvious comments about my wife's dress... The hotel room was not good value..one good point, was the member of staff who checks your cases in she was great and helped us find a hair dresser and lot of useful info and tips I could not say it was a place I would not stay again
