Hôtel Columbus Monaco

We loved staying at Hotel Columbus we had a room on the 5th floor and the views were amazing. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful.The room was tastefully decorated and had enough room for all our things, the lobby and eating areas throughout the hotel are very relaxing, with a luxurious feel about them.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The rooms were clean and well presented. It was in a good location (on the bus drop-off from Nice airport) but then again Monaco is tiny so everywhere is close!!

If you going to Monaco, I guess you expect to pay-through-the-nose for everything, but anywhere else in the world this hotel would really struggle to justify or deserve the money it charges. A little more friendliness and helpfulness from the staff would also go a long way, but hey, it was busy, others were complaining and maybe they were all just having a bad day! Regardless, we've definately had a lot better for a lot less in other cities.

The view from my window was exceptional.

The lighting is very dim. I could not see my face in the mirror when shaving.

I was initially given a room with a sea view. Great view but very small. I asked to be moved to a larger room. My request was honoured without any problem. The receptionist was very friendly and the alternative room had a great view over a peaceful park.

Continental style breakfast was limited. No hot food unless you paid 22 euros.

The room was spacious,well equipped,nicely furnished,modern and very clean.The hotel facilities were excellent.

Generally,the staff were friendly but the Concierge was too pushy,trying to sell bookings,trips etc.;most annoying and a very poor first impression of the hotel.

The bathroom lighting very poor for shaving, & ladies mahe-up! The internet charges expensive in that the time of 2hrs should be accumaltive & not continuos. Many hotels with WiFi do not charge at all.

Staff is very professional and nice. I also like very much an interior design of the hotel.

Its close proximity to public touristic places, for example the Proncess Grace rosegarden and the Port de Fontvielle, as well as the Prince's Palace
