Hôtel Columbus Monte Carlo  

Wow, the hotel is situated just by the seaside and some rooms have a view to the bay. The rooms are luxurious, spacious, cozy and moderly equipped. The staff is very helpful and the very nice room service is available. Right next to the hotel is a bus stop and the heliport. There are some excellent restaurants nearby. If you want anything the friendly and helpful concierge is at your service.

вполне заурядный отель... ожидали большего....разочарованы.... лучшее в этом отеле персонал...

отель не соответствует заявленным звездам!!!... старые и недостаточно уютные номера, оооочень маленькие окна, как-будто в комнате прислуги...для такого курорта, полное не соответствие цены и качества! спасает положение, повторюсь, лишь персонал...

хороший отель, не очень новый, но вполне приличный. везде чистота и порядок. в отеле бесплатный WiFi, несмотря на то, что в описании отеля указано что есть только платный проводной интернет. а вот халатов и тапочек как раз нет, к чему я оказалась неготова, т.к. по описанию отеля они должны были быть. на рецепшн живет прелестный кот, ласковый, но независимый :) The hotel is not very new, but it is in a good condition. It is clear and tidy. The WiFi internet is free all over the hotel. The really nice cat lives near the reception, it is affectionate but independent. :)

завтрак не стоит тех 25 евро с человека, которые за него просят, скудный выбор. отсутствие халатов и тапочек оказалось неприятной неожиданностью. The breakfast is rather poor and 25 euro for it is too much. Unfortunatelly, the information about bathrobe is not wright, they don't give you neither bathrobe nor house slippers, it was an upsetting surprise for me.

Beautiful clean hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Three lovely Receptionists who spoke very good English. Lovely room with large comfortable double bed and balcony overlooking Princess Grace garden (currently being renovated) with fantastic view of cliffs and sea. Location was slightly out of centre but in a beautiful district away from the tourist traps. Marina short walk at back of the hotel with good bars restaurants with a fantastic view of the Palace and Cathedral. Bus stops by hotel just at the corner of the road so easily accessible into centre of Monaco. Waited for number 6 bus to take us into town but hop on hop off bus arrived first. Couldn't have been better timed. We paid when we got on the bus and proceeded to have a very pleasant trip around Monaco stopping off at major tourist spots. We got the bus again at the hotel stop.We enjoyed a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant which we would definitely recommend and then staff arranged for a courtesy car to take us back into the centre of town to the Casino. Taxi back at night cost about 15 euros but heard that there is a night bus from the centre of town back to the hotel district but advise to check this out first with hotel staff. If you want to relax taking in lovely views away from all the tourists, then we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Had some reservations about booking after reading some of the reviews but pleased we chose to ignore them. Some comments about no tea coffee making facilities but this seems to be the normal for European hotels so didn't expect it. Coffee/tea can be brought in the hotel bar. If coming into Monaco by train, take the number 5 or 6 bus outside the station to the hotel.

Nothing - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, friendly staff.

expensive, no sheets on bed (just comforter), gym door was broken (dead batteries...you think someone could have replaced them, but we had to wait till the next day to use the gym). Not near much, except the palace.

Staff were exceptionally helpfull from reception and baggage through to any questions we had and very helpfull in our short stay to finda great restaurant. Lady on teh front downstairs desk could even write in english upside down on a map.

Doors were difficult to operate with swipe card. Room 717 & 711. No twin beds in one of the rooms for our children on arrival so had to move rooms and ended up with un-adjacent rooms. However we agreed to this as getting a good nights sleep was a priority to us.

The wifi was so poor

Hotel could do with being refurbished

Reasonable price. Standard of this 3-star hotel is like 4-star hotels in other european countries. There is an express bus 110 to the Nice airport with the stop in front of the hotel. Nice view from higher floors. Easy to find, as there are signs all over the city pointing to this hotel.

Expensive breakfast. No coffee/tee machine in the room.

The first room offered was a very good one but the wireless connection was poor, than they immediately changed our room to even better one. They are helpful!

Good location, very close to the seaside and all major scenic spots in Monaco. Room is clean and fashion-designed. Bed is comfortable. Most rooms have a balcony, where you can enjoy good seaview or mountain view. What's worth mentioning, the hotel is very close to a helicopter airfield. From there you can try a tour-around-Monaco flight.

We suggest you not to stay on the streets too late at night. During our stay there, when we were looking at the map and routes at the nearby bus stop on Avenue Des Papalins, there came an extremely thin lady, walking very very slowly, which seemed like a skeleton, or say, corpse. That was really really scaring, no kidding. The next day when we visited Musee Oceanographique de Monaco, we saw something similar in the museum. So do be careful and do not ramble around late at night.

The room price was reasonable for the location the hotel had friendly helpful staff to assist your needs we will stay again when visiting Monaco

Great location, near shops and the harbour and one or two great bars just around the corner. Hotel staff were great, very helpful and upgraded us to balcony room overlooking the sea and gardens, without us even asking.

Pool was set away from the hotel and appeared shared by residents in other apartment blocks, so we didn't use it.

We dealt with a number of the Concierge staff and found them all very helpful and friendly - we were very impressed.

We were surprised that the basic free wifi didn't provide the ability to send even very short emails. There were no issues accessing emails and the Internet. During our trip through France even small cheap hotels in the country side usually provided free wifi. We also felt the cost of breakfast was too high.

The restaurant and staff were as good as always; nice location; nice sized rooms

The hotel is starting to show wear -- but in fairness since my stay was at the end of the season, a refit may be planned over the winter. The bathroom at the pool was dirty and since that was the only place to shower after an overnight flight (since room was not ready in the morning)- it is/was a terrible introduction to the hotel.

Good location. Nice restaurant with a limited menu but good food. Easy walking distance to rest of Monte-carlo.
