When we arrived to the hotel, part of the staff was on strike. I understand, that it can happen, so I tried to prepare myself to be patient. We arrived at 11am and on the reception they told us, that the room will be ready at 3pm. The room was ready at 4:15pm, so we stayed on the hotel's beach. The room (de-luxe) was worn out, the hotel would need some reconstruction. On the same day we were in the hotel's bar, but the staff closed it at 11pm :-(. The guy outside the hotel responsible for transportation and valet very ruud. It is not clear to me, why a luxurious and expensive hotel like Le Meridien is not able to keep the staff happy.
I asked at the reception to email me the final bill. Nothing happened.
I think it is the only hotel with the beach in Monte Carlo. Pools were nice. When I complained at the reception, the manager gave me a discount for all the troubles. That was fair, but if I did not ask for it, nothing would have happened.
