The Astoria in Kotor is a wonderful hotel. It's beautiful, tasteful, and unique, with traditional architecture but also all of the modern conveniences. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, the location is excellent, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There is

Receptionist who greeted us were fantastic and she always had useful information. Did her work. Made us feel like at home. Some other staff were not very attentive or were willing to go out of their way to help us with information etc. They did their bare minimum, so it was basically 'ok-enough', but it didn't make us feel warmly greeted or anything.

The rare good taste of the whole place, using the old stones as a base. The design bathroom fascinated me. Not a big hotel but it has everything except a bath tub The walk from the parking which cannot be helped, the old city being closed to trafic. Of course we arrived in the middle of a storm...

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had the suite on the top floor and it was lovely. Very nice furnishings; unusual glass bathroom (it does have blinds though!) Amazing decor in the dining room/lounge area. Wifi didn't work very well in the room. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Fantastic staff and beautiful room, with splendid design. Breakfast was actually pretty bad. My eggs were overcooked and my kid's were just greasy and did not include what was said in the menu. The egg dishes were badly prepared. The coffee was good, though and the bartender friendly.

Historical hotel in an ancient and old building inside KOTOR Old City walls. We satyed on the 3rd floor double room, which was very nice way renowated (as the whole hotel) two nights and we had a great view over the city towards neraby mountains. Nice, polite and helpfull personnel. Good restaurant and bar in this hotel. Elevator from ground floor was good. Safety box was not bolted into the wardrope wall and it didn't work. Also we run out totally water from bathroom on the last morning. These two minor notifications.

Very nice hotel, free parking (3 min walk from the hotel), free WiFi (good quality). Terribly noisy at night in the old city (where the hotel is located). Music till 11-12 o'clock in the evening. Church bell ringing all the night every half an hour + about 100 (!) tolls at 7 A.M. Impossible to sleep with open windows and the conditioner was working for heating only. Breakfast is VERY poor. You have to make an order an wait for 10-15 minutes. Omlette is terrible. Also you have to ask for every single item (juice, salt, bread) and again wait for 5 minutes or more. We would recommend to make a reservation without breakfast.

Anita (the hotel receptionist) was the BEST I have ever encountered. Nothing was any trouble for her - she explained everything, was always very friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Same goes for the guys in the restaurant - great food and great service !! Stay there !!!!!

Top location in the heart of the old town of Kotor. Beautiful and functional room in an interesting old palace. Exremely friendly and helpful staff. Free parking (about 300 meters from the hotel, the staff helped to transfer the luggage by a club car). They also sent clear driving instructions by e-Mail immediatly after booking the hotel. Free WIFI. An ala-carte breakfast. The safe deposit box was not fixed, anybody could carry it out. We didn't dare to use it.

We liked everything! We are couple with a 5 months baby. The staff was very friendly and helpful: they offered us a better quiter room with no extra charge when they saw we were with a baby. And the room is very romantic... The location is great, the breakfast very delicious. If we're ever back again we'll definetely stay there.

Astoria is a magnificent hotel with incredible, perfect, magnificent team. Please have a pleasure and enjoy this wonder situated in the heart of Kotor. We were staying at 9 different 4 and 5 stars hotels within 100 km around Astoria including popular Forza Mare and Aman Resort, but this was the only place we returned to upon availability 3 times. Wonder begins with the meeting, when Miss Kristina, who should be Guest Relationship Manager in 7-star hotel, welcomes you, and ends when you check-out, what is the greatest mistake if you plan to stay in Montenegro or Croatia for some days more. In room Epsilon you will enjoy the view on the wall and square, Thita room will give you an opportunity for endless wonder watching Boka Kotorska evening sea lights from your own balcony. Breakfast will be a surprise, amazing barista will let you to share the best available cocktail with the sense of old town. The only joy which you can buy for very small money in Montenegro is your stay in Astoria. Everything else is free of charge (night fishing with natives, Perast, talking to 90-years old inhabitants…) The last but not the least is the clearness of your room you can fill only at home. Headhunters should be really interested in the whole Team of the hotel. I do really want to share this pleasure with everyone, just come in Astoria, Kotor. Honestly there are no "-".

Beautiful rooms, great food, extremely friendly front desk staff. Every evening there was extremely loud music that was played outside in the courtyard until 2am in the morning. The music was so loud the beds and windows shook. Despite how beautiful the hotel was the loud obnoxious music ruined our stay at the hotel. Kotor is a beautiful spot but the "club scene" that starts in the evening really cheapens the beauty of the city. It over commercializes Kotor and turns it into a "Jersey Shore" like atmosphere. It would not recommend visiting Kotor to friends until the city creates noise ordinances.
