Hotel Astoria  

Very very friendly helpful staff, the whole hotel was spotless. We only had breakfast at the hotel each day but it was an excellent selection and lovely to be able to eat outside watching the world go by.

The hotel is just inside the old town. We had a room with no view but had asked for a quiet room and thought this would be perfect. Wrong! There was always someone downstairs talking, and the locals seem to speak loudly. Starting from about 7 in the morning until 1 the next morning. Not a place to stay if you like peace and quiet

They didn't clean our room in 3 of our 7 days stay. The breakfast is poor for the price of accommodation. We was expecting more to the price...

It is a very nice hotel with good location, with clean rooms and friendly staff, but breakfast is so-so

Breakfast on the beach on Christmas morning. Very good restaurant. Comfortable rooms. Excellent service and willingness to please. Location inside the city walls of Budva is brilliant.

Restrictions on access and car parking around the old town make accessibility initially difficult, but when you get there the staff do everything to overcome the inconvenience, which effectively disappears.

What did we like about the Astoria - everything - would love to come back.

Reviewed October 9, 2011 new Just inside the walls of the old town in Budva, the Hotel Astoria is a wondreful option for a stay in this charming city. The hotel is excellent. Our "room" was actually a two room suite with a comfortable and spacious lounge area, a separate bedroom and a nice bathroom with ocean view from the main rooms. There were flat screens in each room, separate heat/ac systems and comfortable furniture and far more space than one might expect for a hotel in the middle of a historic zone. The location inside the historic town means there's no parking at the hotel itself, but parking is available starting at 15-16 Euro per day approximately 100 meters away. Breakfast was included and could be eaten on the hotel's beach, just outside the city walls or in the hotel restaurant. Service was friendly and the hours ran from 7-11am. The restaurant had a wide variety of items for lunch and dinner and everything we tried was good. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was perfectly located within the old town. The accommodation was boutique style and ultra chic. Our room comprised of a living area, large bedroom and a large separate bathroom complete with spa. When we made the booking we mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and the hotel provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne. The hotel staff spoke english well and were quite helpful when answering our questions about sightseeing and restaurants. Another added bonus was that we could enjoy breakfast outside each morning whilst overlooking the beach. The breakfasts were of top standard and we didn't need lunch. After spending much of the day sightseeing it was nice to know that we could relax by the beach at the back of the hotel and not to have to pay for the privilege of using beach chairs as is normal practice in Croatia. The hotel staff enquired for us about the local bus to Dubrovnik and organised for a taxi to pick us up in the morning and take us to the bus station. They even organised breakfast to go which was great. We were very happy that we chose to stay in this hotel and would happily recommend same to other fellow travellers - you won't be disappointed.

Located within Kotor Old Town and in general everything very good as it has been previously.

Water supply somtimes was sporadic as though the system experienced air locks.

In this hotel I liked only its location (old town of Budva)

Breakfast is a little bit poor. There are eggs benedictinnes, omelette ( which is salty and not tasty), muesly (too sweet), pancakes. There are no fruits and yoghurt (they call kefir "yoghurt"). Waiters speek english very poor. On the beach music is very loud ( you can't hear yourself). I had an impression that our hotel and a hotel nearby were competiting in order which music was louder. Room service forgot to take the garbage, reception hanged up the telephone ( when I asked the receptionist about this she told me: "yes, I had cliants in front of me"). So we were glad to leave.
