excellent location, right in the old city, amazing view, big rooms
Looking out the window to beautiful sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Access was a little difficult. Internet only worked around reception.
Really nice location in the old town, view on the sea, nice appartment
cold water in the morning, small hot balloon, entrance and corridor a bit spooky...
It was a beautiful location-- charming and quaint with a wonderful view of the sea.
Stairs! The only way to reach the hotel is to climb a lot of stairs. We didn't know it when booking and it was difficult for the older people in our group.
Superb atmospheric setting in the old town of Ulcinj - 200 feet above the Adriatic with sea and bay views. Staff were exemplary - and could provide car hire internally. Room spacious and comfortable
The hotel is in a stunning location on the ramparts of the old town, part of a converted fortress, with tremendous views over the Adriatic coast. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always willing to accommodate us in any way they could. The old town is home to several excellent restaurants that are well worth a visit and there are also lots of bars and restaurants available in the new town only a few minutes walk away
While it didn't unduly impact us, access to the old town requires you to climb a long flight of steps, so people with limited mobility cold have problems. The are plans to install a lift from the base of the cliff, but I don't know when this is likely to be completed
Romantic hotel for young people
Location at the old city, you don't need to climb so many stairs as in other hotels.
The hotel looks better on the website than in the reality. Feeling of an old room. There was a little kitchenette but no pans, no soap, no dishes, so we could not cook anything. The fridge was off when we arrived, so the ice was melting and there was water on the floor which i had to ask twice to clean it.
location, staff, cleanness, hotel, town, sea, beach
nice view and very good location
lack of equipment to prepare some food (no saucepan , no appliance to hot water for a coffee)
The position on the top of the cliff is nice. But too many cons for this single pro: avoid it, it is a tourist trap.
1)Description of the hotel is fake: the free parking is a public parking 150 steps below the hotel. You cannot arrive by car: for someone it could be ok, but why not ti declare it? 2) the hotel is not a 4 star at all: poor unsmiling staff, furniture old and dirty, no equipment in the kitchenette, no water in the bathroom, no toilette items. 3) lack of accountabity: we booked an Apartment being a couple with a kid (5 year old) declaring it in the riservation form: and we were charged 15 euro for him. I cannot understand why to pay for a kid in an Apartment, but this is me. But why not to tell it before? 4) the breakfast had no bread. Imagine the rest....
The staff was super. They were kind, helpfull and professional. The views was superb. The breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who´s planning to stay in Montenegro.
location, although noisy at night due to the night clubs near the beach.
This is not a "fabulous" hotel as suggested in the reviews. We had a double room and it was small, the furniture incredibly dated, the bed was two singles pushed together one of which was so hard and lumpy we couldn't believe it. There was no hot water, we complained and by the next morning it was tepid but that was it. The bathroom also had a very peculiar (not pleasant) smell. The sister hotel that that actually has a lower rating appears to be much better. We walked through it and it looks to have more modern/re-vamped rooms and decent facilities. We are a very well travelled couple and we're not expecting 5 star luxery but this is one of the poorest hotels we have ever stayed in considering its rating.
Best located hotel in Ulcinj Spectacular views from the room Huge, spacious rooms / apartments Great restarant next door Beautiful old building in the old town Excellent staff who are so helpful
For people who are not very mobile, the taxi can't take you right to the hotel and you have to walk up a big flight of stairs to get there
