The camp was in a spectacular setting deep in the canyon and right next to the river. The wooden cabins were fairly basic but comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went on the rafting trip which was unmissable. We weren't aware that you could book in advance and probably should in high season. Luckily they managed to squeeze us on to one of the trips! We would definitely recommend staying here!
The road down to the camp was quite steep so you will need a good car to get down. Having said that, we managed in a Chevrolet spark so it can be done. The buffet is meat heavy but once I had asked for a vegetarian option the staff were very accommodating and the vegetarian options were delightful! There isn't anything else that we didn't like about this place! It is fabulous!
We loved our stay at Camp Grab, during our honeymoon. It was really remote and in a beautiful location. The food was fantastic (the best we had during our travels in Montenegro) and the rafting guide was brilliant. They are a really professional operation – and the whole place felt really well run, as well as environmentally friendly.
We had a twin room for two of us, with bathroom. The room size was fine for two people, but would have been small for three. My main complaints were the uncomfortable beds and scratchy bed linen. Also, the bathroom could have done with a bit of maintenance. If Camp Grab could get this right, it would be a perfect place to stay. Having said that, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and we would recommend it to others.
Delicious food. Once the chef found out I was vegetarian, he made me special dishes every night. We tried out rafting and hydrospeed as activities and had a lot of fun with both. The guides are very friendly! We had such a great time that we stayed an extra night. The bungalow is very comfortable. Absolutely gorgeous night sky, make sure to look up!
We got a bit lost getting there as Google Maps didn't recognize the address. We also didn't realize that Etno Selo means Camp. So follow the signs for "Camp Grab"! The communal bathrooms have poor water pressure and aren't as clean as they could be. The Wifi works a bit weirdly (no access to Youtube or Whatsapp for example).
The staff were friendly, sociable, hard working and their aim was for you to have fun and get the most out of your experience. The food, eating area and impromptu beach music and party were fab
The driver who picked us up after the rafting was inexperienced, he drove way too fast in the land rover on the cliff edge whilst texting on his phone - the rafting is supposed to be the adrenaline rush, not the drive back. He didn't understand the responsibility he had on his hands. Only bad part of our holiday
Unfortunately we arrived late during the night and didn't enjoy the evening atmosphere with the fire camp just near the Tara river. Such a nice place to enjoy the breakfast and lunch between rafting session. We had a very good time there, and think it would worth it to spend at least 2 nights there to enjoy all the nature activities in the surrounding (rafting, hiking, montain biking, etc.)
The bad smell and the humidity in the bathroom.
Got welcomed at well organised reception. Bungalow is small, but does the job. Only room for beds, but clean. For a camp that is expected. Food was delicious. How they manage to provide and cook for so many in this location...! Rafting was amazing with a very experienced guide fromLiverpool who new exactly what he was doing. We felt very safe with also our 6year old. They asked us to only let her raft the second, not so many rapids, part, as she is only young. I like that safety comes first. We saw boats from other camps, which had even younger children in all the way.
Community toilet was most of the time out of toilet paper.
The staff at the Camp where outstanding. We went white water rafting and which was great fun. The rafters from the Camp made this a very memorable day for everyone staying at the Camp Grab. Food - superb, hearty meals served at dinner and lunch. The setting and facilities were intrinsic of an outdoor experience. Thank you all.
Cosy cabins, delicious food, great rafting, friendly staff, tranquil and beautiful setting - just perfect!
Beatiful environment, nice people.
Very dangerous road, unflexible breakfast.
We stayed at Camp Grab for two nights for part of our honeymoon. The location right on the river was fantastic/beautiful. We did a rafting trip, which was the highlight of our trip. The staff and raft guides were all very friendly. Food was delicious in the restaurant onsite. We enjoyed multiple bottles of wine and sang around the campfire with other guests/staff. Have already recommended to friends who are traveling to Montenegro in the future.
We rented one of the private cabins that included three twin beds plus private toilet/shower. The shower leaked so the floor in the restroom was completely soaked. With limited towels supplied in the room, we basically just had to wear our sandles and stand in a puddle when in the bathroom.
The Place is wonderful, Tara river is spettacular and rafting is very funny, also skipper Tod :-) The bungalow is comfortable and the food is very good. Federica Salsi - Italy
The location, the friendly staff, the food, the atmosphere, the other guests and the river, always the river.
They are building more bathroom facilities, which is good. Wi-Fi was patchy, but this could easily be the ISP and the electricity supply more than the camp. I was edgy about the road in and out, but it was OK.
Great and secluded location next to the Tara river. Very friendly personnel and excellent cook (the dinner portions are abundant)! Our rafting guide was very knowledgeable and professional.
When you have a hire car, the access road can be a challenge, but it is doable when you drive carefully (we had a Toyota yaris).
This place is run by a lovely family who are very friendly and helpful. They all speak good English. The location and environment are superb, right by the river. The food is excellent and generous. The rafting is good fun and run by experienced skippers. A great going-back-to nature holiday.
Nothing really. Just be aware that the en-suite rooms are small & there is no heating, but adequate blankets are provided. The beds are comfortable but the bathroom boiler is small so runs out of hot water quickly. The communal showers seem to have larger boilers.
The view is excellent, near the river with green blue water. Excellent fot those who love kayak and rafting.
Rooms are smaaalll.
