Hotel Forza Mare    

Breakfast buffet is excellent, a lot of choices, with fresh and local ingredients. There are 2 jacuzzis, one inside and my favourite: one outside with sea view. We have been upgraded to a room with fantastic sea view (indian style). Staff is very nice and professional. You receive a fresh fruit plate as welcoming gift and some sparkling wine.

The sauna door did not close well, which was maintaing the temperature too low. The pool is very small and in the shadow (but not a problem as the "beach area" is very nice and comfortable).

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel and lovely friendly staff. We only had two days there which was way too short, we would love to go back. We had a sea view which was spectacular and very romantic.

If you want unforgettable stay in Kotor- stay at Forza Mare! It's best hotel in Montenegro! Personal is very friendly! It's clean and beautiful! Food is just perfect! It was like being in paradise! Thank you so much!

Probably the best in Montenegro for boutique, modern luxury. Excellent service levels, stunning views, fabulous spa facilities and beach. Loved it.

Expect to take a taxi to explore the nearest town, 5 minutes in a cab. The good news is, this will cost very little as taxis are cheap.

Everything was excellent from start to finish, couldn't fault a single thing at this superb hotel!

Pleasant, modern design. Generally very pleasant and helpful staff. Good location on Boka Kotorska with excellent views of the bay and surroundings from the bay-facing side. Restaurant terrace was comfortable and had an excellent view over the bay in the evening. Room air-conditioning was very useful. Difficult to sleep without it.

Lots of stairs could be a problem for some people. Pool at front of hotel was a good facility ruined by the presence of clouds of biting flies. My partner and I finished one afternoon there with 20+ bites each on arms, legs and faces. Restaurant is good, but not exceptional as far as the food goes, but it is very expensive. The wine list is horrendously expensive. E.g. Lobster at 120 euros per kilo! Louis Roederer champagne at 600 euros a bottle! Local wines are better value, but corkage charges are still very high. There was really no bar in the hotel, other than a bit at the back of the Coffee Shop, and no menu of drinks on offer. Something of an omission, I would have said. The advertising talked about a terrace bar, but the only terrace was outside the breakfast room on the first floor, and there was no bar! Other restaurants along Kriva ulica were better value, though less obviously up-market. Particularly liked Restaurant Ellas, Tiha Noc and Partanza. These were between 15 and 40 minutes walk away. Nearest bars (usually attached to a small restaurant or pizzeria) were 45 minutes walk from the hotel. If you do not have a car, it is quite a walk into Kotor itself, but taxis are easy to get and relatively inexpensive (about 4 euros from the hotel to Kotor old town). Other public transport is a bit erratic and impossible to negotiate if you don't speak Serbo-Croat (I don't!).

Sheer luxury on a mini scale in an absolutely stunning location. Everywhere finished to an exceptionally high standard. The rooms with balconies looking out to the water are a MUST and worth the extra cost as we never tired of the view. The two rooms on the top floor also avoid the Palm tree !! The small 'beach' area was small but adequate for the number of guests and very inviting compared to other bathing areas on the same stretch.Again pool area small but perfectly formed. The food was the best ( and most adventurous) we had all week and we felt it was really very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault the staff.

Everything! This is the most amazing hotel experience! They even gave me the option of having the breakfast that was set out because I arrived so early in the morning. They arranged all transports and treated me like a princess. I was traveling solo, so this extra special care was so much appreciated!

Nothing...I think it was just perfect.....(and I did NOT have a seaview!)....The rooms with a seaview must be incredible because I did not even miss it!

The hotel was amazing. The setting beautiful, the staff sooooo friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is really chic and stylish. We will be back.

Absolutely immaculate throughout with everything done to a very high standard. Staff were very professional and helpful. Food was excellent including a very varied breakfast.

Bed was a little firm. Not really within walking distance of Kotor.

Everything - wonderful location. Excellent restaurant. Themed rooms are very different to normal hotel rooms you see and very comfortable. Staff are all very helpful and friendly - you geta real feeling that your comfort and enjoyment are paramount. Great hotel and staff.

The friendliness, professionalism and and service provided by all staff was outstanding. It's. 5 star luxury but because of small number of rooms it brings with it a personalised service where you are made to feel special in a very relaxed way. One of the most romantic places we have ever stayed in one of the most stunning locations! Thank you to everyone at Forza Mara!

The hotel staff were the friendliest I had ever met . The view from the room was spectacular . The rooms were all different .very personal touches , when you left the room they would pop in change towels or turn down the bed . And not just morning and night through the day ! Great location a good 45 In walk into kotor which is fab .

They ran out of hot water the first evening so we had to shower in the spa !!!! And no compensation for the massive inconvience was offered and we sat around for an hour waiting for them to resolve the problem !! And the air conditioning was very temperamental ! The breakfast although I enjoyed it my husband found it very limiting as there wasn't any toast or bacon or sausages etc etc

Location was beautiful. Stunning views from waterfront rooms/ Only a few minutes by cab to historic centre of Kotor. Service and food was excellent.

We had an amazing stay. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Hotel is truly beautiful. Room was nice and cosy. Hotel is well located, bang on the beach in peaceful dobrota, just a short taxi trip away from the stunning old city of kotor where we had an fantastic time but where we were glad we were not staying because of the noise, the crowds, the lack of a beach, etc. My wife got a very long massage at the hotel and loved it. We had a day trip to charming perast and the island with the church, also a short taxi trip from the hotel. The restaurant was very good and had reasonable prices. One sign it is good is that there are many people coming there who do not stay at the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel of just 10 rooms after all so there are not so many guests. We will definitely come back.

We really loved our stay but if there is one thing that they can improve then it is probably the breakfast. It is good but when we arrived late there were no more pastries. Also they can make you nice cappuccino and latte and also eggs but they don't ask you and they don't advertise it anywhere so I guess you have to find out by yourself. But if you are reading this, now you know and you will just need to ask them :-)

Staff, meals location all very good and what you would expect for the price, expensive by local standards. Advertised as a small boutique, tiny would be a better description, positively claustrophobic if the weather is inclement. Outdoor space and location spectacular, otherwise you are in your room. Every inch is made use of but it is a converted villa with a 25 metre frontage

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful jewel of a boutique hotel just 3 minutes by drive from the heart of Kotor. Truly 5 star luxury and service. A definite highlight of our trip!

The only comment I would make is the beds were a bit hard - we found this throughout Croatia as well as Montenegro in all hotels/ villas we stayed at.

Without doubt one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The staff, facilities and location was perfect. Although small in comparison to other 5 star Hotels, the intimate feel of the place along with a no expense spared feeling of the fixtures and fittings made this hotel a lovely, romantic experience. Hot breakfast is cooked to order, so nothing left out to go cold. There is a wonderful gourmet dinner menu that isn't expensive and some superb local wine to wash it down. The spa area is a nice place to unwind after a hard days walking. Kotor centre is a 4 euro cab ride away and there also is some wonderful places to eat out. Only book this hotel if you can get the seaview rooms with balcony. Nothing wrong with the other rooms, but would take away the romantic edge that this place offers. I looked into some of the other rooms whilst being cleaned and all were superb. Overall, I cannot praise this hotel enough. I have already booked 2 more trips to stay there this year and got the same room. This hotel is not really suitable for children and I think it's designed for adults only and as there is no lift, disabled people would find it difficult to move around over 4 floors.

Hotel non tanto grande, con poche stanze ma curato in ogni minimo dettaglio. Ristorante ottimo (un pò caro).

Dalla nostra stanza si sentiva (poco per fortuna) il rumore dei passi proveniente dal corridoio/ingresso.

la disponibilità del personale, la pulizia, la posizione, il ristorante sul mare molto carino la cucina e il servizio sono ottimi anche se un po' troppo cari ( se si mangia pesce)
