Hotel Forza Mare  

Without doubt one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The staff, facilities and location was perfect. Although small in comparison to other 5 star Hotels, the intimate feel of the place along with a no expense spared feeling of the fixtures and fittings made this hotel a lovely, romantic experience. Hot breakfast is cooked to order, so nothing left out to go cold. There is a wonderful gourmet dinner menu that isn't expensive and some superb local wine to wash it down. The spa area is a nice place to unwind after a hard days walking. Kotor centre is a 4 euro cab ride away and there also is some wonderful places to eat out. Only book this hotel if you can get the seaview rooms with balcony. Nothing wrong with the other rooms, but would take away the romantic edge that this place offers. I looked into some of the other rooms whilst being cleaned and all were superb. Overall, I cannot praise this hotel enough. I have already booked 2 more trips to stay there this year and got the same room. This hotel is not really suitable for children and I think it's designed for adults only and as there is no lift, disabled people would find it difficult to move around over 4 floors.

the hotel is very nice and small, too small actually. we stayed just one night and everything would have been perfect, if our room (called India) wasnt literally 10 centimeters away from a reception desk and we werent awaking in the very early morning by usual receptionist's routine.

Beautiful design of the rooms and especially of the hotel itself. High class service, staff "gentilissimi" treat all guests with personal attention, delicious food, small but very comfortable sun terrace by the sea. Great scenery. A real pearl in Montenegro! Bravo!

Owners, staff, setting and facilities were all first class. Only compliments, no complaints. The hotel was as clean as any you could find. Everyone seemed to work in harmony with each other, making the week we spent there a joy. The owners were on site all day every day, ensuring guest needs were met. Even at the end of the summer season (Sept 8-14) the staff were enthusiastic. The bayside restaurant was very satisfying - and open as long as guests wanted to stay, talk and sit under the stars. No pressure to close - even into the late hours. The wine list extensive enough to cover all tastes and budgets. The sea food menu was very good. We booked for next year already.

It was one of the best places that we have stayed at, due to it's location but most of all because of the staff. They were brilliant, and deserve a mention.....Senka,Njegos,Milijana,Lazar,Ivana and Giorgij. Apologies if I have misspelt a name or forgotten anyone. After staying here the next hotel we went to near Dubrovnik was a big disappointment. We were also lucky enough to see six dolphins playing about in the water right in front of our balcony..... There are only four rooms that overlook the sea, well worth paying more to get the amazing views in our opinion.

The location on the Golf of Kotor, 4km out of the city is calm and beautiful. The waterside restaurant and small private beach afford spectacular views over the golf and the surrounding mountains. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful in the planning of our onward journey. Our evening meal right on the edge of the water was truly memorable and very romantic. The food was good and the menu and the local wines were reasonably priced given the setting. Breakfast was tasty with freshly squeezed juice and plenty of fruit.

The hotel is located 4 km from the walled city of Kotor which means it is clean and calm but you may need to take a taxi into town. Our room was small with only a side sea view and a half balcony.

Really helpful, friendly staff. Excellent location right on the waterfront, only a short drive into Kotor town. Excellent restaurant and small friendly chic hotel.

Laundry was very expensive, eight Euro to have a shirt laundered. That aside we had no complaints.

The setting is lovely. Room decor is a rather bizarre. Although rated as 5 stars, it is several stories high and does not have any elevator, which could be a real problem for some people. Also, the pool is under a walkway, so it is in the shade and mostly covered by the oeverlying walk. Although initially very friendly, the staff turned out to be quite mean, even cruel. The hotel manager was truly not nice, and this was commented on in the complaint book in the hotel lobby. Overall, the meanness of the staff ruined our stay in Montenegro. The hotel is not 5 stars in the usual sense, but it appears that the lack of Western European luxury in Montenegro gets them this rating. Do not stay here.

The staff at Hotel Forza Mare, to a person, is incomparable. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, solicitious. The chef at the Hotel is world class and went out of his way to accomodate my vegetarian diet. The bed was super comfy, the room was serviced twice daily, and the condition of the hotel is superb. I loved the Turkish steam room and sauna. I was very impressed with the overall level of service and willingness of the staff to ensure that the guests are having a great time.

My only words of advice, which I shared with the management is that I found the presence of piped-in music quite off-putting. I believe that travelers choose a boutique bay-side hotel for peace and relaxation, not to hear music from every quarter. I communicated to them that I preferred to hear the sound of the waves, the birds and the breeze in the trees, and they complied with my request. Music is a personal choice, and if it's piped in everywhere, it's unavoidable, which is stressful.

The service was realy perfect ! The location is absolute top.the small and cosy atmosphere fits very good to the amibitoned personal.Absolute recommandable. We will come again !

Если Черногория то только Forza Mare. Это самое замечательное место, в котором время останавливается.Очень рекомендую молодоженам и парам.Персонал отзывчивый.Есть спортзал.Фен хороший.Халат, тапочки,...и вообще всё есть.Тихое местечко,красивый вид.Релаксация.Действительно люксовый отель.
