Hotel Hippocampus  

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and this hotel is really one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location of the hotel is great, it is located at the center of the Old Town. The rooms are very well designed and also very clean. I especially loved the design of the bathrooms, very stylish! We even had a small balcony which had a view of the Old Town. The food in this hotel is really brilliant. You just tell the great staff what you wish for breakfast and they will prepare it for you in the best way. The staff of the hotel is great. They would do anything to make your life easier. We especially want to thank Ranko, the food and beverages manager of the hotel, who takes good care of you all the time. Just go to Kotor and stay at this hotel to have a superb vacation and to meet with good people..

Easily the best hotel on our 2 week trip to Croatia and Montenegro. It was so hard to leave this beautiful hotel. We had dinner pn the roof top terrace twice and was like a scene out of a romantic movie. Breakfast on the roof top was made especially for us, the waiter simply asked what we wanted and it magically appeared. The rooms are exquisite with a unique mix of very modern and repro furniture. The nicest linens that I have ever scene in a hotel. You must stay here if you are in Montenegro, you will never forgot the experience. The hotel is tucked inside the pedestrian only walled city. Be certain to call or email ahead so the staff will direct you to the nearest parking lot.

An ideal location within the walled city of Kotor, yet away from the noise of late night bars. An intimate experience worthy of it's cost and modern conveniences with a gracious, very experienced, staff constantly looking after your every desire. A rooftop terrace for meals, a sophisticated ambience in the dining room, and rooms with rich earth tones. Simply a stunning experience.

An intimate setting, with only 8 rooms, I felt like I was the only guest, yet the hotel was sold out.

The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Significant effort has been put into the decor and the staff worked hard to make the stay enjoyable. Would recommend it for those looking for a boutique type hotel.

The location may not be ideal for some, but in the historic part of the town and therefore very convenient for the centre of Kotor. Car parking was only five minutes walk but discuss transport for luggage with hotel beforehand.

If you are planning to go to Kotor, you HAVE to stay at Hotel Hippocampus. No excuses. Just book. I spent four days there and I was treated like a prince. It is easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It's new, and a lot of care and money has gone into making it an equisitely beautiful place. The rooms are stunning, with amazing beds, gold tiled bathrooms,strong wifi connection and air con. There is nothing the friendly, polite and helpful staff will not do for you, including a free overnight washing service. The food is also brilliant, the best I ate among all the restaurants in Kotor: super-fresh, creatively planned, superbly cooked, and spectacularly presented. There is a downstairs dining room as well as an outside terrace to eat breakfast and lunch. Do not expect a tired old breakfast buffet at this hotel, or even a breakfast menu: you just tell the waiter what you feel like and the chef will cook it for you. Dinner on the gorgeous upstairs terrace is ridiculously romantic and not to be missed. I cannot praise this hotel enough. It's incredible - and if you come to Kotor and don't stay here, you're missing out on an experience you'll never forget.

This hotel is perfection.

The best place in town. Beautifully decorated to your comfort without losing the historic character. In the middle of the Old Town of Kotor and still quietly tucked away to avoid too much noise from the bars and restaurants around. Best proof we liked it is that we got back here after one day cancelling our pre-booked hotel in the same area. Hippocampus is worth all it's stars!!

Regulazation of the airconditioning could be better; even putting it really low made it still quite cold.

После мороза и суеты Сибири оказалась в тишине стильных интерьеров, в заботе персонала о моих самостоятельных маршрутах в малых путешествиях по Черногории. Кухня прекрасная.Все отлично и очень душевно.Спасибо.

Отличный отель!!! В номерах чистота и комфорт! Дизайнерские решения отличные, персонал дружелюбный, вайфай работает везде, все прекрасно!

Интерьер

Обслуживание питания, проблемы при расчете за проживание с кредитной карты. Не работал терминал для проведения рассчета.

Все.

Постельное белье маленького размера. Т.е. на двухспальной кровати постельные комплекты на двух персон размером, эквивалентным купе в поезде.

Das Design der Zimmer war wunderschön und das Frühstück im Innenhof war super.

расположение в оживленном историческом центре города, удобно добираться до разных локаций (побережье, аэропорт) на авто. Доброжелательный персонал, стараются сделать все возможное для отдыха.

не всегда понимают english во время завтрака, но экспромт порой радует :)

Lovelly building and rooms. Really comfy bed. Right in the middle of the old town.

Noisey bars playing loud music till 1am. Breakfast took ages. Poor views from windows. Glass dividing wall between bathroom and bedroom so no privacy whilst wiping ones bottom!

- location - room and hotel decoration - nice and friendly staff

- non efficient AC - breakfast serving to the table - parking far away from the hotel

The staff is incredibly friendly. The manager is the best host ever. Breakfast was great and that little cake which you offered on the house was such a treat.

We would have liked to spend another night if they would be a little cheaper.
