Lovely old building, location, clean.
A bit expensive.
The location is excellent which is in a quiet area and in the old town Kotor. The room is very quiet, nice and clean with a nice view. Nikola is very helpful, he took me to see two different rooms and let me chose the one I liked best.
Brilliant central location. Very helpful, friendly manager.
Leaking shower tray leading to wet tiles which were treacherous. Towels provided were hand towel size. Creaky, uncomfortable beds.
Fantastic renovated Venetian palazzo. Stayed in the 'The Monks' room one of the many themed rooms. Milosh and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
It's located in the hearth of the Starigrad, Kotor. It was clean enough.
Our bed was almost broken and as being a couple, we had tough time on it. Wi-Fi wasn't accessible from our room. It was the most expensive hostel in my Balkan trip so I can definitely say it is not worth of its price.
Very welcoming and helpful staff, great vibe around the reception areas with free drinks, sangria night and social happenings. The room was like a hotel room, only the bathroom in the hallway (shared with one other room). Would come again for sure.
Central location, very friendly staff, quality of room was great - don't be misled by the fact its called a hostel - the room was very spacious with en-suite.
if you have a car, you can not park that close, but there are some free roadside places about 400m away.
Location amazing in the centre of the city. Staff superb: always helpful and friendly! Really nice the building and the décor.
I chose a double room with private bathroom. The room was not really clean: my feet were dirty after walking in the room, the mop in the toilet was full of sand. The towels provided were the size of hand towels. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Would def. recommend!!,
Very friendly and efficient staff. Modern and clean apartment with great view of old town square and even some serenading in the evening.
One be was making awful sounds whenever moving ( springs)
We would never have found the place if we had not run into a guy wearing the hostel's T-shirt who eventually showed us the way. The double room with a shared bathroom was very basic (not even a mirror in there). It was clean though, and in an old building with a balcony. The shared bathroom was very clean to my surprise. Super friendly staff, a hostel with a personality, definitely recommend it.
Difficult to find so make sure to ask for instructions before leaving!
The room with ensuite was amazing, it was so spacious. The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. I would not hessitate in recommending someone to stay here, I loved it!
Cool building. Good location. Staff friendly.
Lock on door into our 'apartment' was broken. There was one toilet and small kitchenette being shared by three rooms. Due to door being broken, other hostel guests considered it to be a common area and came in and out all night to use kitchen and bathroom keeping us awake. Hostel staff said not to use kitchenette for cooking meals, only tea and coffee. However, at night, the main kitchen was completely taken up by hostel staff cooking meals for those guests who had elected for the meal. This meant the main kitchen was out of action for two hours over dinner time. We preferred the facilities at nearby 'Montenegro Hostel', where we also stayed for 2 nights.
Location in old town.
No free parking nearby.
Communal kitchen available Newly refurbished Used the hostel's bus service Tirana to Kotor
Lack of response to emails re exact details for booking of bus from Tirana
We liked our contact person Stefan, he was very nice and understanding. He obviously did not directly work at Hostel Old Town, which is the only justification for us having this room. A part from this we feel that we were fooled. We asked for a suite room for 3, and the photos shown online were nothing close to the room we were given. We had to change the room after a night, because there were bugs coming from the bathroom.
We really did not like that we were shown an entirely different room quite far away from the hostel (like in a different neighborhood). We were expecting a cozy room for 3, but we were given a room with 4 bunkbeds and a double bed. There was no place within the room to roam around, there was a smell in the bathroom and bugs were coming out of it, there was no wifi, and no true window which you can open and get some fresh air. The room was dead dark, and we could not sit in it more than 5 minutes. And the worst is that we found an amazing room for the same price within 10 minutes. We stood up with this room for a night as we were very tired, and changed it the next thing in the morning. This is a travesty of treating tourists, and I would never advise anyone to believe in their ads for suite rooms. Do not believe in their photos!
We stayed here part way through our holiday in one of the apartments with its own kitchen. Room was really spacious, good sized fridge and two ring cooker top. There were enough pots and pans in order to make a meal. The bins were emptied daily and overall the room was nice and clean. Checking in was straight forward and reception is a hive of information with recommendations where to book, buy, rent pretty much whatever you want. We have stayed in a number of youth hostels in our time and this is one of the best ones
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff - gave us lots of advice, information, dining recommendations, and even drove us to our next accommodation around the bay!
The staff did a great job of making everyone feel welcome and organizing tours, dinners, laundry etc. The common lobby area was a comfortable place to lounge and meet up with other travellers.
Fantastic building with great interior, great location in the old town and very helpful and friendly staff
Located in the heart of the old town & spotlessly clean. The staff spoke good English & couldn't do enough to help us. Supermarket located nearby to buy food.
Nikola is best man. Very friendly staff and perfect location. always hot water :)
little bit nosiy.
Young guys working at the hostel were hilarious and so friendly, will remember them always! They really made us feel welcomed. Hostel itself is old and decorated with a good taste, and it is located in the best possible place in town. Would`ve like to stay more than one night... All the best for this cute and cosy place and it`s stuff!
Location was excellent, the manager very informative and helpful, the facilities and rooms very clean and functional
Everything was astounding, the guys upgraded us to a beautiful Palazzo room as it was my other halfs' birthday. They were so helpful and cared about the details it was really REALLY a must stay place in Kotor
