Set in a 9th-century monastery, on the south-eastern shore of Lake Ohrid, Hotel Service offers guided excursions on its own private boat. Rooms have a view of the lake or the mountains. Every room at Hotel Service is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a cable TV and minibar. The bathrooms are spacious, and slippers are provided in every room. Traditional Macedonian dishes are served at the Ohrid Room restaurant, which includes a small terrace that overlooks the lake. There is also a bar serving drinks and snacks. At the 250 m² spa and fitness centre, guests can relax in the sauna, hot tub and aromatic steam baths. Guests can also take a walk in the hotel’s gardens. The location, nature, very warm and kind personnel, big room. Old fashioned, a little shabby atmosphere, old fashioned cuisine and breakfast, local tourist street market just outside the hotel.

Location was amazing;, gorgeous views of the lake and the mountains, peaceful, the service staff at the restaurant was wonderful. The room we had was not what I was expecting: the shower was old and there was a puddle of water on the floor after every use (I am guessing poor drainage); one light in the bathroom did not work and the other was just the light bulb without a cover; there was some leftover paint supplies that apparently were not removed from the room and were stored inside the dresser; the remote for the tv was missing (although the front desk staff promptly gave us a new one), furniture in the rooms looked little old and tired.

Right next to 10th century monastery. Peaceful spot on lake. Many dining options. Several chapels within walking distance. Great wifi in restaurant but none in room. Nice breakfast buffet. The first receptionist was abrupt and friendly. Second one was wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Great location, great restaurant. Don't expect to benefit from all hotel facilities (esp. Spa center) if you come in winter, it's closed. Also the staff was quite pressuring on guest regarding eating hours (breakfast and dinner). Schedule was imposed... Quite expensive.
