Villa Kale

Peacfulnesss, silence, very clean place with the most splendid view over the lake, fortress and antique theatre. Extremely helpful owner, friendly neighbours. Marvelous location on the top of the old town hill within the walls of the fortress. Parking spot was available in front of the hotel but we also saw other possibilities nearby. Since the hotel has no restaurant, I would recommend the owner's choice: one has to visit the Gladiator restaurant nearby!!

Great place! Nevertheless, driving directions upon arrival could be quite useful.

The owner family is very nice and friendly. The villa is well situated in the old town, with the most important objectives very near. A good and original restaurant, the "Gladiator", just a few minutes of walk from the villa..Everything is at walking distance. The view, to the fortress or to the lake, is excellent. All in all a very good location.

A very clean hotel with a great welcome. Location is not difficult to find and very easy access to center. All recommended with confidence.

Everything was fine; had nothing to complain.

The hotel was clean, new and spacious. For a family of three, we had a room with 2 queen size beds and there was plenty of room to walk around. The view from the hotel was beautiful, overlooking Lake Ohrid and seeing the old town with its shops. The hotel is difficult to find because it is not on the roads leading to the lake. You must travel up the hill to the fortress and it is on a side street there. I recommend calling when you are at the Upper Gate of the Fortress and they will come get you. This is a family run hotel, kind staff. Internet was available in the room, but is a bit slow. The best part is that the Lake and shops are only a 5 minute walk downhill.

The bathroom was clean but in need of some repair. The fixtures are new and were not properly attached.

Vila Kale is a new apartment house located in the old city of Ohrid. This is the perfect starting point for a tour. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you like private family atmosphere, this is the right place.

The lack of brakfast is a minus. Driving directions will be very helpful for peple who are visiting Ohrid for the first time.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay there. A wonderfull family runs the hotel.When you stay at Vila Kale you feel like you are a member of the family. The rooms were very large and every items in the room were in best quality.We are gratefull for their effort to make us happy during our stay in Ohrid.We'd like to visit Kovaceska family if we have a chance to go Ohrid again

new villa, excellent personnel, beautiful view to a lake, since villa is placed in old part of town, experience is totally different (the best) than if placed in new part of town. lack of food services is no problem since there is a lot of small restaurants along the city. The room was large, new, clean and the rate was unbelievable. The hotel is family run and it shows by the warmth and friendliness of the staff. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on or off a budget.

There are only three parking spaces in front of the hotel, but there is plenty of parking about 100 meters away.

Parking limité à deux places. Toutefois, il y a un parking gratuit jamais plein à une centaine de mètres (à la même altitude). Un plan d'accès sur internet serait très utile, mais les propriétaires le savent et comptent y remédier rapidement.
