Wonderful location, nice lake view, large room, very clean, friendly staff.

We had 3 wonderful days in Villa Kale. Everything was just great thanks to helpful and sweet Mrs.Gordana.

Very nice and calm location in the old city. One of the most beautiful views i have ever seen waking up in the morning and looking at the lake. Warm and clean rooms and the most friendliest owners. Nice restaurants around.

Excellent location and the owner is a very nice woman with perfect English. She was very helpful in helping us hire a driver to take us to the Skopje airport when we left. The price was around $50 US per night whic I felt was a steal.

We were in on vakation with our 16 year old daughter in july. It felt form the first day like we were visiting friends in Ochrid. Even though it was a bit challenging to climb stairs while it was hot, it was worth it. The owners and the whole family(grandmother included) did everything to make the vacation a success. The rooms were very tidy and clean. If we'll return to Macedonia we'll surely book Villa Kale again.

Villa Kale is a wonderful hotel with stunning views over the Ohrid Lake. The room we had was spacious, modern and very clean. Gordana, the owner of the hotel, was friendly and happy to help in all matters. I would definitely go again.

Excellent value for money, good location. We had a beautiful and clean room, with balcony, and lake view. Gordana, the owner, is very friendly and service minded! She makes you feel at home. If you are looking for a room in the center of Ohrid, with no frills, I would certainly recommend this place. Parking is available in front of the villa.

Only disadvantage: Villa Kale does not serve breakfast. There is a shop nearby however, where you can buy your own food, and Villa Kale has a terrace, where you can eat your breakfast. Coffee and tea facilities are provided in the room. Water and beer are in the fridge in the kitchen, and you can take as you like.

Very modern and spacious apartments. Price and location was top notch and staff were very friendly. Will definetely stay here again if I revisited.

No complaints, everything was perfect!

It was very clean and the people are very friendly. Location is at the top of the old city district, which is perfect so it is not too loud. If you have a room close to the bars and clubs you will have loud music till morning. Everything was perfect. Thank you for the perfect stay in Villa Kale. Regards, Markus

Owner Gordana was very friendly. We felt like we were family staying with her and her family. We were invited in evenings to join them for a drink in the courtyard. She even made cup cakes for the kids one night. Highly reccomend staying here. You really can not doubt anything with the place

The only thing if you are elderly that it is a bit of a hike up the hill to get to apartment and can be hard to find when you first arrive via car.

We had a beautiful clean room with an amazing view of the lake from our room, and a view of the castle from the balcony. Gordana (the owner) is an amazing women, she helped us with our every need. We had a wonderful time in Vila Kale and would recommend it to everyone!

The rooms are spacious and very clean, with tea and coffee making facilities in each room. The location is perfect, and the view is wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The facility is extremely clean and comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view of Lake Ohrid, and the lake is easily accessible from the Villa. Wireless internet was available, and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. It is also a short distance to many of the old churches in Ohrid, and shopping is nearby. It is one of the friendliest places that we have ever stayed, and we enjoyed becoming friends with the family who ran the Villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay. Sue & Chuck (from Taiwan)

The place is really gorgeous. We had views of the lake out of the windows on one side and looked across at the Castle from our balcony on the other. The owner, Gordana, is very nice and extremely helpful. It's a little tricky to find in the first place, as it sits up above the old part of town. But once there, it's very easy to walk in to town and explore all the sites. Quiet and peaceful. I was traveling with my Mom and it was a perfect location away from the bar scene. I highly recommend it and hope to visit again. Pretty luxurious at a great price.

Can be tricky to find - up by the old gate. Use Gordana's directions and you won't have to drive up the cobblestone old town streets.

We stayed in the superior room and the views were spectacular! The hotel is conveniently located in Ohrid old town. The facilities are modern and spotlessly clean and the owner is gracious and helpful. 10 out of 10!
