Located in the old city centre, inside the ancient city walls, Guesthouse Nina's location is superb. If you are history enthusiast, if you like nice restaurants and bars, or if you just like to catch some sun on the beach... you can find all of this in radius of 50 meters. The owners are really firendly and nice and will help you with a bunch of tips about what to do and where to go. Rooms are nice and clean. We would definitely recommend it.
If you are 6ft tall you better avoid rooms on top floor, as the ceiling is a bit low :)
was clean kind owner great location in the centre, yet quiet
I had no balcony and double bed
Nice lake-view room, Very kind service of a family-run place ( At checking out, we requested early morning taxi at 5:15 and the land-lady was kindly there to confirm it surely comes.)
The room is on attick and ceiling is somewhere low.
Warm and gentle people, nice and big appartment with view on lake. Alot of space, bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and full kitchen. Nearby center and historical places. Nina and her husband made us feel at home and gave alot of good advice!! super
Wonderfull place, thank you, Nina!
The location was alright and it was rather quiet in the evenings.
There were several incidents that affected the comfort of our stay here. We were two couples with me being from Macedonia and the rest from the Netherlands. Let me make it clear, this is not an impossible place to stay at, but please read this review then make your decision. To start from the beginning: 1. We reserved two apartments with queen beds and a balcony, this was not the case. We received apartments with twin beds which is quite inconvenient for couples. The "balcony" is not an actual one but merely a hallway with windows and it is shared with all 4 apartments on that floor. 2. The ceiling of the rooms over the bed and bathroom was incredibly low which was hard to deal with if you're more than 130cm tall. 3. The kitchen is a very poorly equipped one, one of the apartments had only 1 dish, while ours were full of dust. 4. The bathroom shower had bad pluming resulting with incredibly bad smell especially in the morning. 5. The towels and bathroom facilities were of very low quality. The cleaning lady also did not change our sheets despite one of the ladies with us had a "lady incident" on the bed. The towels used were also not changed, we had to make them wet to force her to change them.(!!) 6. If you're with children, please avoid this guest house. The a/cs had not been maintained, resulting with a cm of dust on them which you and your kids will breathe once you turn on the a/c. 7. When we were checking out we asked the owners politely to cut us 100MKD of the total 360 euro price due to the reasons mentioned above, and because we'd have to go withdraw extra cash over 100MKD. This lead to them insulting us that we're dishonest and impolite while they had welcomed us wholeheartedly and offered us pancakes during our stay. They also continued gossiping about us in Macedonian as we were waiting for our ride in front of the house, making sure we overheard them. This is unacceptable.
Great location and very friendly and service minded hosts.
Squeaky beds, which is bad when you have small children sleeping in the same room.
Everything. The place is great. The hosts are lovely. In one word: perfect.
hosts are very, very kind and friendly, location is very, very nice, but.....
no parking place (although I booked it), no elevator (4 floors with unpleasantly staircase,) distance between floor and ceiling on the last floor is for Lilliputians... recommendation -> avoid!!!!
Villa Nina is in the historic part of Ohrid, close to restaurants and tourist attractions.
The host is an older couple that was very hostile in the beginning. Unfortunately the bathroom in our room had an issue with the water installation whereby the floor was swamped after every shower. In addition to this, 3 of 5 days we did not have hot water (in January). The host could not offer us a comparable room (even if they had free rooms, but offered us just a less comfortable room and not the bigger/"more expensive" room). The night before our check out, we asked the host to lower the price of the room from 30€ to 25€ per night due to the facts decribed above. They accepcted the repricing, but reacted very unfriendly instead of understanding our complaint. The most critical and unacctable point is the fact that after the cash payment the host changed our reservation at booking.com from 5 to 4 nights in order to save his commission. This kind of data manipulation is not accetable as we stayed in reality 5 nights and cannot accept that the host can rechange this on booking.com without asking the guest. We do not recommend this accommondation. It is easy to be a host when everything is fine. You have to show good management skills and general behavior when clients have issues with your offering.
