We fell in love with this place. It's in the favorite spot of the city if you are looking for fantastic view, balcony. It has a kitchen where you can prepare anything you want. The owner (Dear Mr. Dimce) is very kind and helpful about anything. One night he took us as guests in his own floor and we talked for hours. The whole family is so helpful. Place is clean, warm enough for the ones who visits Ohrid in November like us. Very close to city center and every worth-to-see historic place. In a nutshell, it is wonderfullious!! Thanks foreverything...
Nothing at all.
We only stayed one night after a late flight. Owner was very nice, we got a nice breakfast and he helped us with a taxi. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
Only downside is the location, its a bit far from the city center, but public transport is cheap and easy.
Decent sized room, with a balcony overlooking the lake - an unimpeded view. Just 5 mins walk from the main tourist area, but not itself in the hustle and bustle.
A palace-like loft with a balcony, great views and all modern facilities, as well as a private parking in front of the house.
Taller people, let's say over 1.80, do need some acrobatic skills to take a shower....
Very friendly little pension. Home-like atmosphere in the old town of Ohrid. Close to main sights. Quiet. The owner, Dimce, will do his best to make your stay perfect. Excellent value for money.
A bit outdated. The room would be cleaner without the carpet on the floor.
Loved the little apartment, great view, being in the old part of the city, having a little kitchen was great, the balcony was sweet, kind owner, excellent walking.
The pull out bed/ couch was not so comfortable.
The view overseeing the lake, the location of the property and the windows all around in the studio on the top floor
Small and rather dark shower/bath
From the minute we arrived after negotiating the narrow old-city cobbled roads, we were welcomed with a warmth and sincerity which makes one immediately feel at home. The apartment we stayed in had a great view of the lake, looking out over the old city, and was outfitted with all we could have wanted for our 2 day stay. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and functional and the balcony was a refuge in the warm evenings to enjoy a wine and take in the vista below. The only issue may be the walk up and down the hill to the waterfront for elderly guests. Highly recommended.
The view from the rooms is just amazing as you can see all the lake. The rooms were clean and nice and the kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very friendly and picked us up when we couldn't find the place. The location is great although you have to walk for 5 Minutes a very steep way up- but thats the exercising included and therefor you have this great view. It was easy to go to the city and everything is very close.
This is a very comfortable property located in one of the best spots of the old city overlooking the entire lake. The amenities and 180 degree view from our room can't be beaten. The owners are absolutely lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property.
The streets in this part of the old city are a bit narrow and hard to park a car or drive thru.
View View View Helpful and friendly owners Big balcony Spacious apartment
Can be a bit noisy at night due to noise coming from old town, but this is not something they can control
Good value for money
Please note that there is no parking at all. We had to park in an unsecured area far from the hotel. It was very difficult to find the hotel and almost impossible to get there by car. Credit cards are not accepted, only cash.
Amazing view from the studio balcony and very good location near the beach; very friendly and helpful staff (our car broke 15 km before reaching Ohrid and the owner came and picked us and our car without even charging us for the gas) Very good facilities, especially for the room price
You probably won't find another Hotel in Ohrid with such a stunning view of the lake and the old town. Also note the low prices... There is nothing to add to the description given on booking.com. The owner is such a generous host, you won't believe it unless you experience it yourself. He invited us into his own garden on the national day (Aug. 2nd) for a garden party and took us on a private boat trip with his own boat a few days before we left. My girlfriend and me booked a double bedroom and we were more than happy having chosen Villa Rustica for our stay of eight days.
The noise from late-night parties sometimes impaired our sleep but this is hardy the owner's fault. In high season, sometimes parties go on until 6.00 a.m. They mainly take place on the opposite side of the bay but unfortunately, the sound is carried very well by the water surface.
We had a balcony in our room and the view was just perfect - you could see Ohrid Lake and the Old Town. The location was ideal, walking distance to the main street of Ohrid. The room was spacious and clean and in the kitchen we had everything that we needed.
Access by car was difficult due to the narrow streets and lack of parking spaces. We parked our car by the upper gate and walked from there. But the owner was so nice that he helped pick up our luggage with his own car.
On the top of all the excellent comments about Villa Rustica our experience there still exceded our expectations! The complimentary private boat tour with the extraordinary host Mr.Dimche - Superb! The complimentary party for all guests celebrating the Macedonia's official Holiday Ilinden - Exceptional touching! Just great - we'll be back for sure and will be recommending Villa Ristica to everybody everywhere.
1. If that could help at all the efforts of the owner Mr.Dimche with Ohrid authorities - the noise at night time from the discoteques across the bay is unaccaptable. All that should be controlled - finally the Ohrid Lake is famous for its tranquility and beauty. Please, don't destroy that cosmopolitan touristic jewel for the financial interest of a bunch of people without sense for the natural gifts. 2.Parking is a little bit of a problem, but that's understandable - it was probably the busiest weekend in Ohrid.
It was one of the best places that we stayed in our balkan trip. Prices are fair enough, facilities were clean and comfortable and our room had a balcony where you can see a magnificent lake view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was also useful.
Location was excellent but there were lots of stairs so you should climb bit. Wifi wasn't good enough.
Accommodation has a good view, nice garden and friendly staff. Great location, close to downtown and lake. Unfortunately we spent here only two days.
Parking place could be a problem, narrow streets in Old town.
Beautiful place, felt like staying in the room all day with such a great view and gentle breeze . The family owned business is exceptional friendly and well run, nothing is too much trouble for them
very friendly staff, excellent location, breathtaking view from a great balcony, just 3 minutes walk to the lake, parking available just outside of the apartment, i strongly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Ohrid!
Everything - the view is to die for, the central location is perfect, the cleanliness is as it should be, the size of rooms just right and wifi actually works!
The mattress in the double room is far too hard - needs a soft mattress topper urgently!
personel is very kind and the view is perfect
not very clean
The view is amazing!! We were on the ground floor, or the lowest floor of the house and still was breath taking. The room was clean and the bathroom and kitchen too. There's only one or two rooms sharing the bathroom so you hardly see anyone. Internet worked great and the best value for money. The location is almost perfect, just up the hill and few minutes from the old town. The owners were great, friendly father and son!
We liked everything. Too bad we couldn't stay longer.
the owner was really friendly and extremely helpful - I felt welcome as soon as I arrived... he even had a map in the room, and helped with sightseeing and things to do without hesitation. The room and balcony had great views across the lake - so good that I settled in for the evening on the balcony with wine and homemade salad, taking in the view rather than heading out to a restaurant
while the seersucker sheets looked retro-chic, they were a bit scratchy for sleeping !
