Score from 23 reviews Very good
The location and the breakfast.
Wifi didn't always work.
The staff was fantastic, helping me and truly caring with a problem with my luggage at the airport. They even gave us a free dinner. Location is very convenient (just next to Sule pagoda)
No way to contact them (nor phone number nor email address work). Facilities are very old.
Good location. There was an elctric kettle in the room.
We had a luggage problem, and they charged us for the call to the airport. The sidewalk outside the hotel was broken.
Location, staff were friendly
Hotel is not nice aesthetically, breakfast is only OK and at $65 per night it was by far the worst value we had in Myanmar.
front desk tried to be helpful
oldish, needs refurbishing
First booking 8 night, but appeared some inconveniences so I proposed to check out to move other hotel, then I was forced to pay cancellation charges, despite following under their sudden advance paying requirements. Now they changed hotel name as "City Star Hotel" at that time, I will give every body as my alarms with never staying and booking
Big room, close to Sule Pagoda, friendly helpful staff
Hard mattress, only accept American cash
Location was great, just by the sula pagoda and within a 10 minute taxi ride of shewadagon pagoda. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room was a little dated, but clean and had everything you need - fridge, TV, a/c, kettle and toiletries in the bathroom. By Yangon standards the price was good.
The buffet breakfast, although generous did not offer any "western" choices such as cereals or yoghurt. This wasn't a big deal, and if we had just been travelling as a couple, not an issue at asll, but it would have been useful for my 3 year old to have sdomething familiar to him for breakfast. Otherwise the breakfast was good. Some information about the area would have been nice, things to do, places to eat, info on what taxis should cost, etc.
the staff is very good and they are helping.
they mentioned in the website that there is swimming pool but in fact there no swimming pool, room is not clean even they clean it everyday and there is also lizards and rat in the room, wifi is good no TV chanel you can watch. bofet is same everyday no change
The staff where very kind and co operative
The water pressure in the bathroom and the hot water not hot enough
There was no internet in the rooms and in the lobby was very weak. Breakfast was very poor .
Staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful. Location is good.
Breakfast is almost the same for everyday.
Very goof service for the price. Young energetic staff willing to help at every turn.
Rustic like most places in Burma no hot water by functional internet for YouTube and best location possible for exploring old British quarter.
Very good wi-fi
We stay room no. 501. Dust everywhere, dirty floor, very noise, no glass in bathroom window and damage mosquito net in bathroom, hot water after 5 minutes.
good location, breakfast, rooms and wifi
The location was suitable for us to see the sights which was why we chose it
It has not been upgraded in the last say thirty years. The fridge did not work and you would not use the drinks and the room was dark due to bird poo on window . If you want wifi you had to sit in reception on ground floor and it was slow. As with all hotels in Burma far too expensive for what you get, bUt they know you have to pay as no options
Highly priced $100 for the type of room, comfort and cleanliness. A real rip off. Would not recommend any business traveller for that money.
Location is good.
The staff/manager is inconsiderate. One of our travel companions cancelled her trip. So we were requesting to transfer us in a triple room on our return the next week since two rooms are expensive for 3 people. But they did not allow.
We didn't get the room requested but we moved the next day to a room with a balcony and nice view.
No hot water.
The Hotel was very central in City Easy walking to park, temple & shops
Location and Staff are excellent, as well as the breakfast.
Too expensive for the quality of service/facility/value for money.
The location was excellent for us as we wanted some place in the city centre and this hotel was just behind the Yangon City Hall near Sule Pagoda. The size of the room was good.
The breakfast was all to oily each of the 10 days stay. The daily cleanliness standard is very low and superficial. The terrace was covered with dust and never cleaned. The pillows were terribly hard.
Rom size and cleanliness, new carpet, kettle, tea and coffee, complimentary water. Breakfast, great choice for all tastes, fresh fruit, eggs, toast. We really were expecting the worst after reading reviews but were very pleasantly surprised. Staff were absolutely lovely too.
We were on floor 7, rooms on lower floors seem to be in need of upgrading.
Location near the Sule Pagoda.
Not worth the rate. No room for a family of three, we had to book two rooms.
