Breakfast and facilities.
Location and staff.
A little noisy cause the engine of the aircon is right out of the window
The room is essential but confortable
- eventhough the room was big, minibar was not filled, fridge not even turned on - sockets weren't properly working with non-British plugs - and now the biggest minus. some have mentioned it before, but we thought that this was just bad luck or being to picky. However, when we finally got to the breakfast room (which is actually close to the lobby, very unfriendly without windows, dimmed light, very sterile in our view), we were just asked whether we liked tea or coffee. After that we were served toast with jam and butter + sandwich, cooked vegetables, meat and a cold fried egg. Neither juice nor water was offered nor were we asked whether we would like to have more tea/coffee and for us as vegetarians the breakfast seemed just a waste of food. The table was to small for all the small plates and cups served. The next day we asked for a vegetarian breakfast, stating that we would like to have no meat but two eggs instead. Yes, there was no cooked meat on the plate but a chicken sandwich and just one egg. We got a second one, nevertheless, both were cold. Being not very picky and complaining about a lot of things, we really have to say that all in all it was a very uncomfortable way of having breakfast and it definitely not worth the money. I wonder why there was no buffet offered. It would not have to be a big one, but at least to give the chance to just pick toast and egg or to decide how much to take from the single offered things yourself- if the service is only physically present. This would also avoid the amount of food wasted (many plates went back to the "kitchen" still loaded with food). Plus it should be mentioned that there was NO real Asian breakfast alternative, i. e. no rice or rice soup offered.
+ location (multi-cultural area, close to the much more beautiful Sule pagoda) + big room (wonder why it was that big) + bathroom/shower seperated from rest of the room (door could be closed) + early check-in (7 am) was possible
I thought it was a little pricey, but then, so are all hotels in Myanmar. There can be confusing because there are multiple Clover Hotels in Yangon. The Plus is just down the alley, but another one is across town.
Great location within walking distance of many city sights. Just 5 minutes from a Western grocery store inside the Parkson dept. store. A great Indian restaurant, Titu's Banana Leaf, is just a few buildings down the alley. Super clean! Also very nice staff.
forget breakfast, just go around the corner you can get any breakfast you want, local, continental, good coffee
Location. In Yangon is fair for money, no pretentious..
Spacious rooms Cleanliness Very courteous and helpful staff
No real negatives.
It was close to major sights and the train station. Easy walk to the market and lots of places to eat around the hotel, shopping and ATMs close also . I had a room on the 7th floor which was good.
Nice comfortable room
We got problem for laundry. We are double charge because of we didnt get stamp paid on our laundry sheet. They told us to wait for cctv record but they didnt found any record of that day. What did not make sense is.. the staff who received our money did not remember we have paid them. And they said they did not have any extra money in that day. We force to pay it again.
The staff are mostly friendly.. but some of them just like they are not give any effort to smile.
relatively cheap for a bed in yangon....
I don't have any bad experience from this hotel. I am satisfied.
Room size is just enough for couples. I like the bed, comfortable to sleep.
Central position. Great staff
Wifi connection so bad.
Cleanliness of room, most staffs are good, just few are bad.
A bit expensive but that's the average in town
Location, cleanness, sraff, breakfast, close to everything
located in small street, limited room facilities
great location right behind Shangri La hotel
Wifi in room is not good , sometime cannot connect but in lobby it's ok.
Location is good, it 's very convenient (in downtown). Staff 's very nice, speak english very well. The room has everything need for staying.
room was booked through booking .com price quoted was to pay on arrival. Price on arrival was much more than the confirmation/reservation price.-----why!!! I was not pleased as I had to change more money and the rate in the hotel next door which is part of their set up was very low. not pleased at all.
its cental position
Over priced for what you get.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great location. A bitnoger priced but what hotels aren't in Yangon, a reality throughout the country really.
We decided to give it another shot to the place, I requested quiet room, we were placed on the side of a construction which is going all night, find a cockroach on restroom, overpriced impolite receptionist with a bogus exchange rate so you'll end paying more unjustifiably
Location is handy everything is withing walking and till late, wifi works ok
Room too small,no storage place
There is a construction ongoing infront, quite noisy, When paying there is always a discrepancy either by their fake exchange rate if paid in Kyats or debit card, ghostly 10%extra plus they don't take any dollar bill just new ones. Rude people on the front desk which invited us to leave the hotel if we did'nt agree with their "scamming policies" this only happened us here and nowhere else in Myanmar :-(
Location, handy services. Seems to be clean, wifi it still is ok
clean ,rooms, good for the price
We were on the eighth floor and the only one elevator in the building continuously broke down. We had to climb eight flight of stairs TWICE during our one night stay. The staffs said elevator got tired and needed rest once in a while. What a joke!
Conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Friendly staffs and clean rooms
Noisy in the morning when maids started to work. Phone keep ringing non stop when maid started. Lift was down for 2 days and needed to walk up narrow steep stairways. FO staff really doesn't have courtesy. Bath linens low quality for orice they are charging. Hotel is built from shop houses of 7/8 storeys located at back alley. Back of hotel fills with rubbish. Wifi not stable and staff blame the government. No door key card system. Emm non compliance on guest safety. Short stay one night is ok but if plan for couple of nights , better take low floor for easy escape. For the price I would go central hotel even tough is not good but for the same price room is bigger even is old. Location is the same. Would not recommend clover city center.
