der mit einem Betonboden ausgestattete Speiseraum, ein Schwimmbad wäre dort noch eine sinnvolle Ergänzung.

The villas are absolutely stunning! I have travelled all over the world and I rate our inle villa as one of my top 3 hotel accommodations ever! We paid $280 per night for a lake view villa (# 17) which is expensive but in line with other high end inle resorts. Definitely pay extra for lake view because you'll be able to watch sunsets over the lake from your balcony, even from your bath. However I was disappointed to find out that our resort was not actually on the lake, it was 200 metres from the waters edge given we are in summer season. In front of the villas were paddy fields where we could see local farmers harvesting rice and water buffaloes which provided great photo opportunities. Despite the unfortunate start the staff totally redeemed themselves with excellent and incredibly friendly service for the rest of our stay. My advice - do not book day trips on the lake via the hotel. It is expensive at $45 for a whole day (there is no half day option). Instead I chose to give back to the community by booking a local boat (soe soe tours). Our boat driver arrived with his younger cousins who were a delight in accompanying us sight seeing. We felt happier to be giving him $20 rather than paying the hotel, not because of the cheaper price but because the locals try so hard and its nice to thank them with payment directly. The food in the restaurant is delicious and varied, which is lucky because the hotel is so isolated that it' difficult to eat anywhere else. I had a Myanmar massage at the hotel (1 hour for $24) and it was pleasant. Its a good thing to do if you get bored of spending all day on the lake, which we certainly did! This hotel is wonderful but be prepared for an inability to explore outside of the hotel given limited hotel cars (cycling is an impractical option, the narrow roads did not look safe for cyclists) and very expensive prices. Our 2 night stay including 2 dinners + 1 lunch in the restaurant + airport transfer cost us $980!

The hotel was great at communicating with us over email before we arrived. I booked our airport transfer in advance which was rather expensive at $70. We took this as a sign of what was to come with regard to extortionate hotel prices at Inle Lake. The transfer was supposed to include a taxi ride (45 minutes) and a boat ride along the lake (30 minutes), and this is why we made the booking. We arrived at Nuang Schwe ready for our boat ride but after waiting for 30 minutes without the boat turning up, we were told to complete the rest of the journey by taxi. If you can, avoid that option! The back roads to the resort are incredibly bumpy and dusty. There is lots of construction happening along the route so it is a very slow journey. The impression you get by arriving at the resort via the lake is attractive. The impression we received by arriving via the road, passing by construction equipment next to the new spa, was less than satisfactory. We also felt that the resolution offered by the manager was not sufficient. We are offered a 20 dollar discounted rate for our (already overpriced) return transfer to the airport. When I have experienced hotel transfer problems in the past, at high quality hotels, the default resolution to to offer a free transfer. When arriving at the hotel we told the staff that we would like to visit the nearby Red Mountain vineyard. When we asked for a pickup we were told that there was only 1 hotel car and it was away collecting other guests from the airport, 1.5 hours away. We felt very trapped and annoyed at wanting to leave the hotel but being told we couldn't. My feedback to the hotel is to purchase another car as one for all guests is highly impractical.

Les chambres avec vue ouvrent sur un lieu délicieux, les chambres sont très spacieuses et très agréables, seule la salle de restaurant manquait de chaleur, très bonne cuisine et personnel très accueillants, je recommande cet hôtel mais uniquement les chambres en front de lac

Nous avons réservé une chambre décrite avec vue partielle sur le lac... Or elle n'avait aucune vue, heureusement contre un supplément il restait une chambre avec vue, seul vrai intérêt de l'hôtel!

Peronal sehr freundlich u. zuvorkommend; Frühstück am Zimmer einfach toll -reichhaltige Auswahl; Sweater für die kalten Nächte am Zimmer; Gutenacht-Tee wird gebracht (immer ein anderer!) Früchteteller am Zimmer; Vorbereitung des Insektennetzes vor dem zu Bett gehen und nochmaliges Saubermachen des Bades...... sehr empfehlenswert!!!
