Club level value Location Amazing staff
No warning club level was going to be closed Smell in lobby is over powering
Everything - club was just fantastic and the best money we spent on our whole holiday. The staff gave friendly, faultless service and the room was large, tasteful and well appointed right down to the fabulous toiletries to the most comfortable bed and sheets of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The location was just so perfect for exploring old Macau with all its vibrant, interesting cobbled streets and a cheap taxi ride to any other part of Macau you might want to investigate. We just loved our stay here and have just raved about it to everyone back at home. This is where we will stay next time we are back this way.
That we had no idea how great it was going to be and booked to stay over at a casino holel on Coti for the next night we were in Macau. Still lamenting this decision.
Reception tried too much to promote the package. We checked in after 3pm, but room is not ready. Reception only wanted us to pay for upgrade. And we cannot get the room we booked.
The Hotel is in the center of Macau
I booked my room for access in Executive lounge.when i check in they want me to pay more 600 hkd,to have access. On check in i paid the room with my credit card, and in check out they try to charge me again. Thanks god i kept the receives. Also you have to wait more than 30 min,to find table for breakfast.
Good location, great stuff, all facilities, beautiful nice room. We spent great time in this place. Definitely we would like to return there.
Easy connection to the ferry terminal with shuttle bus；Central location with walking distance to historical center
hard to get a taxi，need to wait more than half hour
Staff kindness and vip lounge club
Jacuzzi was not working in the mansion. Some glasses were very dirty. For that price range i would expect someone to control everything before clients come in and we were very disappointed Welcome desk for the mansion is on 17th floor...but mansion is on anothe side of the building. So you end up going up and down for check in and check out. Might be smarter to use the same place
The executive floor and their staff. They are simply wonderful! If you can afford the extra do pay for it - it's worth it! Separate check-in, welcome drink, afternoon tea, early evening cocktails and canapés. The executive room has the best view of the old town of Macau and you can also have your breakfast there and I would strongly recommend you do. The hotel is in walking distance of the old town of Macau and shops. The private pool and jacuzzi of the Mansion with views over the Pearl river and the courtyard fountain of the Mansion. The size of our Mansion 2 bedroom suite was sensational and came with Sofitel executive club benefits. Very comfortable bed and choice of pillows. 7 TVs, 2 bathrooms, a separate visitor WC and heated toilet seats (takes some getting used to). The internal communal areas of the hotel are very impressive and well maintained and the MJ Gallery is also interesting to fans of Michael Jackson.
Our Mansion suite was very tired and shabby and not everything worked (light bulbs, fireplace light, one jacuzzi bath) - white sofas, rugs and furniture very discoloured and stained and although everything was spotlessly clean it just felt a little grubby. The mini bar was empty except for water and there was no turn down service. Limited hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels and bathing suits. The restaurant on 6th floor should be avoided. We were seated next to noisy children on both sides when there were other available tables (we asked to be moved as we had older children with us - took about 15 minutes). Our kids' food was good but ours was probably the worst and most expensive we had had on our 10 day trip of Asia and it was served on cold plates and therefore, cold within a few minutes. Desserts were brought (no choice) and put on the table and then plates cleared and not all plates at the same time? Next morning at breakfast was no better so having been recommended the larger choice in this restaurant we left and rejoined the lovely staff on the executive floor. The last shuttle bus from the ferry terminal is quite early (before 11pm) so you will need to use another hotel's service and walk around 10-15 mins back to the hotel. In short - great hotel if you can afford the executive floor.
Picture show on booking.com was white room but when I chec in I got dark color room. There's no sofa behind jacuzzi as picture show . Light too dim.
Bathroom amenities, excellent rooms, Breakfast and evening drinks at the club,
Have to wait for a bus from the ferry to the hotel
It's quite close to senado sq.
Taxi was hard to get and staff wasn't helpful.
Excellent services and comfort.
I did not like the crowded casinos, and the betting odds were high.
Casinos are good . but only 1 roulette in whole casino so we have to wait for 1 hour or more to play . Location of hotel good .good view from room .
Only 1 roulette in whole casino so we have to go to another casino to play . Sad.. Wield noise come at night due to water . shuttle bus are small compared to others so have to wait .
We came here for anniversary and bday celebration. Hotel had well prepared a nice room decoration with fresh rose in both the bed room and bathroom. Also, they gave us a box chocolate, macaroons and a gift set which look great. Also, they arranged a cheese cake which is so yummy. We am so impressed by their services, in terms of HSKP, RSVN, FD and concierge. We can feel their service from the heart which is very valuable nowadays. We will definitely come back again and again.
shampoo, shower gel & similar supplied in little squeezable bottles are extremely difficult ( & can be painful) to squeeze their contents out for use
Absolutely everything once inside the hotel. Staff were courteous, helpful and professional. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. The exec lounge area was welcoming, with a great range of food and beverages available.
Transport to and from the hotel is infrequent and not delivered with the professionalism and helpfulness evident in other aspects of the hotel's service. If you are not among the first 20 people in the queue, you may have to wait for a further 20 or so minutes for the next minibus..... No apologies, no alternative suggestions made. And no help with your luggage.
The hotel staff were very friendly and obliging. The breakfast in the restaurant on level 6 was excellent with lots of choice. We especially liked the service given to us by Rain who looked after us so well every day while we were dining. We recommend the Club Lounge for service and value.
The Sofitel doesn't have a lot of food options in the immediate area outside the hotel, however it is only a fairly short walk to the Square from the hotel.
The reception area.
The ground area upon arrival. Looks terribly dirty and old. The ground level fronting the casino looks more like a temple than an entertainment centre. The management needs to do a lot to revamp or renovate the front area. It really irks me upon our arrival. I would not recommend this hotel.
It is a really nice hotel. Elegant, clean, with great staff.
The staff - bent over backwards to help...
- very nice and helpful staff - excellent rooms - very good breakfast buffet with a huge selection - nice pool area
- long waiting time for shuttle service - not easy to get a taxi (however, staff tried their best)
The hotel is situated near the old streets of Macau, a must see attraction. However, that is the only thing that is near the hotel. All the other hotels are far far away.
The price of the hotel was affordable but not cheap, and for that price in Macau, you can probably get a more breath taking room. It is impossible to find a taxi in this area. Taxi's are cheap in Macau and when you can't find one, you'll be wishing you booked a room at the larger chain hotels.
Offered upgrade to executive floor for small charge on top of room rate and must say absolutely worth it! The room, view, service, experience was the best for my holiday which had seen me travel from Beijing to Macau. Staff were fantastic, can't wait to return! Thankyou!!!
Nothing, it was perfect!
