Hotel Okura Macau  

The design of the toilet seat is very detailed-oriented. For example, the toilet seat cover and flushing is all sensor-enabled and is done automatically. Concierge staff were very friendly and helpful and provided good advice to us on eateries near to the hotel.

We arrived at the check-in time and had to wait for 30 minutes for our room as housekeeping was still cleaning the room. Some of the lounge staff were not very friendly and were pulling long faces. This is very atypical for a Japanese hotel.

The room and its amenities - everything is just big - big room, big bed, big tub.... Yet, very comfortable.

The concierge staff should be educated more. I was told to be at the airport 2.5 hours before departure. When I arrived at the airport, the check-in counter turns out will only open 1.5 hours prior to departure. I could have spend 1 more hour at the hotel luxuriating in the bath or get a breakfast. Further, the concierge stuff should be more helpful and should appear to be glad to be of help instead of coming across as indifferent.

Japanese style (they have lots of very professional Japanese staff), very well equipped, quiet. Compared with so many so-called "5- star" hotels in China, this is a real luxury 5-star hotel! Really enjoyed our stay here!

What could slightly improve: Check in should be before 3pm, this is too late and we had to negotiate getting a room earlier Bfast bread and pastry selection is poor and only serves white bread, no healthy breads at all

The room was very spatious and stylish, and the bathroom was lavish, complete with a last generation Japanese toilet. Although the hotel is part of the Galaxy Casino complex, it is secluded enough if you are not into gambling.

The old town is not within walking distance, but there is free shuttle service to the airport, the city and ferry terminal.

The food offerings are very few,even the swimming pool area is very small as compared to the size of the hotel, The lounge services and offerings are lousy,specially because we were vegeterians and even the food that was served was not of good taste and very little choices,

The toilet

The room and bed is small compare to other hotels. Moreover the bed is not comfortable at all. The breakfast is lousy with limited choice. A real disappointment to stay at this hotel. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Connecting casino of Galaxy Macau and the bedroom toilets were very clean n elegant.
